as we walked closer
and closer
and closer
after all these years

i finally felt as though i could
reach out to grab you
i stuck out my hand

but
you walked past me
merely giving anything but a
glance
my heart dropped
and all my body parts started to become numb

all the cars honked
but none loud enough
