Have you ever flown?

What a wondrous feeling!

The wind whipping

Through your hair,

Knowing that you

Are the only soul in the air,

Your mind cleared

Of all thoughts.

My strong arm muscles rippling,

As if it might cost me my life.

Sliding along the surface

Of the lamppost.

No,

No,

No!

I thought.

I can't give up now!

But the wind had other plans.

The wind bared its sharp teeth

And propelled me off the pole.

I screamed shrilly and loudly,

Like a little girl.

I flew,

For my last time,

Into the vortex

Of the hurricane.
