"Gray? Gray." The sound of a raspy voice chants whilst shaking my arm. I mumble reluctantly and wave my hand away towards whoever was attempting to wake me up
"He's not waking up. What do we do?" Another feminine voice asks
"Wait there." Says the first voice and seconds later, heavy footsteps exit the room and then come back.
A cold fluid splashes over my face, causing air to knock out my lungs and I gasp deeply.
"What the fuck, dude!" I yell, pushing the covers off of me and introducing cold air to hit my bare chest
Ethan and Rose both laugh on the floor, clutching their stomachs tightly and Ethan snorting once or twice. I climb out of the bed and then tower over them.
"What time is it?" I ask groggily then stretching
"It's 9:30 and we want to go around New York" Ethan says
"So you drag me into this?" I ask, crossing my arms over each other and frowning over them
Rose stands up and dusts her blue distressed jeans and white silk button down shirt. "It's better than you sneaking off somewhere and making out with a random chick."
I roll my eyes and walk over to my bathroom and grab a towel to dry myself
"Sure. I'll go." I say "but it's not better than making out with a random chick"
Seconds pass and my door closes. I take a quick shower and freshen myself up then I walk out the bathroom and into my wardrobe to change into something comfortable. I pull on an orange beanie, an olive jumper accompanied with some black jeans and some olive trainers. I walk into the kitchen to grab a drink of orange juice and a protein bar then catch up with everyone in Ethan's car.
"Where to first?" Ethan asks as he turns his head towards Rose in the back.
"No idea," She shrugs
"What's the point of us going if you don't know where to go." I mutter
Ethan pinches my thigh and tells me to shut up. I sigh and look out the window
"What about Times Square?" I suggest
"Bad idea. It's probably littered from yesterday." Ethan answers
"How about the Statue of Liberty?" Rose asks
"Sounds good," Ethan says then pulls his phone out to book a reservation then he starts the car and drives off
"How about we go to ChinaTown too?" I ask "we can get some food there."
"Yeah. Good idea, bud." Ethan says distracted then pats my head
It took about 20 minutes to get to our destination and then 30 minutes to get inside. Rose runs ahead of us and rides the elevator, leaving us two to wait for our turn
"You like her, don't you?" I ask as I turn to Ethan
"No." Ethan purses his lips
I furrow my eyebrows and shoot him a confused look "what?" I ask
Ethan smirks and ruffles my beanie "I love her. I'm crazy for her," He says
I nod slowly and look around at the near-empty building
"How do you know you love her?" I ask
"Every time I see her, I smile and get this tingly feeling in my stomach. I woke up to her hugging my waist, this morning, and I didn't want to leave. I wanted to stay with her forever. I hope I can stay with her forever." He says as he zones out into the distance
"You want to stay with her forever? You've only been with her, for like, a week and you're already determining your future?" I ask
"It doesn't matter how many long you've seen the person for. It only matters about how much you love and care for them." He answers
The bell rings and the elevator opens. We walk in and press the floor we need to be in
"Don't worry, even you might find someone." Ethan laughs
"What's that supposed to mean?" I retort
"If you stopped messing with girls' heart then you'd find happiness,"
"I don't need advice from a knucklehead," I mutter
"What?" He asks, cupping his hand behind his ear as if he couldn't hear anything. I turn to him and start pushing his chest
"I.said.knuckle.head." I answer between pushes
Ethan grabs a hold of my arm and twists it so it goes behind my back. I kick his shin, causing him to groan in pain then put me in a headlock. Ethan pushes me down to the floor, causing me to lick the dusty ground, and sits on me
"Ethan!" I groan as the weight of him heaves me down. This idiot weighs the same size as a whale
Ethan then puts both legs on either side of my back as if I was a horse and he starts rocking back and forth.
"Fuck you!" I scream
Ethan starts to jump up and down on my back with his butt, causing my stomach to flop multiple times
The elevator pings and the doors unravel, revealing a surprised Rose. Ethan quickly pushes himself off of me and dusts himself and I do the same. I clear my throat uncomfortably and walk out the elevator. Ethan follows me and bear hugs Rose, who had walked off to take pictures on her Polaroid

"Kids! So good that you came back!" Mum cheers
It was 3 o'clock by the time we arrived and mum wore warm clothes, as if she'll be going somewhere, followed by dad in a fur coat and jeans and Dahlia's parents in parkas, carrying their suitcases
"Where are you going?" I ask
"We were invited to a college meet-up and dinner at this new French restaurant." Henry answers "we'll be staying the night at Manhattan so we'll get back 7pm latest,"
"Will you be eating snails?" Ethan asks
"Escargot." Rose corrects him
"Maybe." Mum answers
"We've got to go now, but we've left money for take-away and the chefs are all home but Vanessa is upstairs cleaning your room," Dad says
Mum kisses our cheeks and leaves to go to the elevator and we say our goodbyes to the others then go upstairs
"We woke up and you weren't there. Where were you?" Iris asks to Rose
"We went to see the Statue of Liberty then Chinatown." Rose answers then walks in Ethan's room with Ethan. Iris nods and looks at me
"Well.." she claps her hands "What are we doing?"
"We can play spin the bottle. I stole some alcohol from Times Square yesterday," Dahlia chimed
"What? We're getting drunk?" Iris asks
"Sure, it's dark already so we can chill and wait till 7" Dahlia says
"Can it not be spin the bottle but truth or dare? I just don't want to kiss someone I don't like." Iris says
"Yeah, I agree," Dahlia says, stomping my foot violently
"Fuck!" I hiss
"Okay, we're playing?" Dahlia asks
"Sure," Ethan says, coming out of the room
"I guess" Iris says and walks into her and Dahlia's room and comes back wearing pyjamas.
"I'm gonna do the same," Rose mutters and walks in her room
Ethan walks into my room and changes and I follow after and change with him

7:56pm
"That movie was shit." I groan
"Dahlia slept through it." Iris says, pointing at Dahlia who was snoring quietly. I look over to Ethan and Rose who were cuddling together, on their phones
"I need the toilet." Iris mutters and walks upstairs
"Okay. Wake Dali up and we'll do spin the bottle," Rose says, standing up to wipe the popcorn off her body
"Dahlia." I say, shaking her quite aggressively. She groans and mutters something and continues to sleep. I roll my eyes and bring my hand to slap Dahlia's face, making her wake up instantly
"What the actual hell!" She screams, clutching her cheek
"What?" Ethan asks
"He slapped me!" She accuses
"Let me see.." Rose mutters and removes Dahlia's hand to reveal a red hand-shaped mark
"Grayson!" Rose hisses "Ethan, go get an ice pack."
Ethan walks over to the kitchen and walks back with a pack of frozen peas. He holds it against Dahlia's cheek and we wait patiently for Iris to come back.
Iris comes back 10 minutes later and arrives with an empty bottle, for the game, and bottles of whiskey, coke and vodka
Ethan brings glasses and we all sit in a circle
"Okay who's starting?" I ask
"Me." Iris says. She grabs the bottle and it lands on me
"Dare me." She says
I look around the room and stop
"I dare you to make out with Dahlia." I smirk
"Sure," She says as she licks her lips and sits on Dahlia's lap. She grabs the ice pack and throws it away then she brings her lips to Dahlia's and Dahlia puts her hands around her waist and pushes it towards her. They make out for some minutes and stop
"That was hot." Ethan says. Rose smacks his chest and laughs
"Okay." I grab the bottle and spin it, making it land on Ethan
"Crap." I hiss
Ethan leans in and smirks "I dare you to strip a piece of clothing every-time someone says your name."
I glare at him and curse under my breath
"What was that, Grayson?" Rose asks.
I shoot her a look and she looks around as if someone else said it. I take my shoe off and Dahlia starts to gag
"Ew! Grayson! That stinks!"
I take my other shoe off and everyone decides to block their noses
"Thanks, Grayson! Now you're stinking up the place!" Ethan yells. I take my sock off and throw it in his face, earning a disgusted look from him.
"Next one!" I clap my hands together. I give the bottle to Ethan and he spins it, it ends up landing on Dahlia and she smirks
"I dare you to grind on Rose in only your underwear,"
"Grayson is good at this." Iris says and I take my sock off and throw it at her
Ethan blushes a deep red and Rose hides her face with a nearby cushion. Ethan slowly takes his shirt off, not to be seductive but because he's shy. He finally ends up quarter naked and shuffles to Rose
"Can't you do another dare?" She asks, pouting fearfully
"If Grayson can do it then you can." Dahlia says and I take my beanie off
"So that's a..?" Rose asks
Dahlia grabs a bottle of vodka and a shot glass and drinks it quickly. "Nope,"
Rose sighs and lies on her back. Ethan slowly grinds on her, causing a silent groan to come out of his mouth every once in a while. Rose had her eyes bolted shut the whole time we were cheering . Dahlia puts 'grind on me' on and swings Ethan's shirt over her head
"Woo! Magic Mike, baby!"
"Are you drunk?" Iris asks, twirling the combination of Coke and whiskey from her glass with her finger
"Shut up!" She says as she pushes Iris playfully
Ethan stops and runs upstairs. That horny pig probably got himself a boner
"Dance like that for my hem party!" Dahlia slurs
"Grayson. Sort her out." Iris says. I take my top off and throw it in her face
"Smells like Chinese! Thanks Grayson!" She yells. I huff and take off my jeans
"Hey Gra-" Iris says
"Not. Another. Word." I hiss
"Sorry." She says as she pulls a hand of defence
"Is it over?" Rose asks, her eyes still bolted shut
"Yeah." I say, repositioning her so she sat against the sofa again. Rose adjusts her kinky hair, which had been matted down by her lying down, and takes a shot of the vodka
"God, I'm not doing that again." She huffs
Dahlia grabs the bottle and spins it, making it land on Rose. This time, it was Rose smirking.
"Send a nude and send it to your dad." She says
Dahlia's face drains of colour and then she reluctantly stands up and strips in front of us.
"Not here!" I yell, shielding my eyes as soon as she shows part of her breast
"Oops. Sorry," She says and runs upstairs. Ethan comes a second later with a new set of clothes and I smirk
"What were you doing?" I ask
"Changing." He says shortly
"But why? You're clothes looked comfortable." I say
Ethan stays quiet for a bit and opens his mouth once or twice but nothing comes out
"Okay I'm done!" Dahlia yells, running down and shows Rose and Iris the nude privately
"Okay, I'll send it!" Iris says and send the picture
"Noo!" Dahlia says and covers her eyes "this is gonna be awkward."
Everyone goes back to their seats and Rose spins the bottle, making it land on Iris
"Wait, it's truth or dare, right?" Iris asks. Everyone groans as they realised that they can do a truth
"Okay, truth." She answers
Iris breathes in and answers "Do you still talk to your ex?"
Ethan's face drains of colour and slowly lets go of Rose
"Yes." Rose trails on
Dahlia snorts and her drink spews everywhere
"Rose! She means an actual person you've dated. Not the Netflix account you were banned from!"
"Okay, then no." Rose says
"What do you mean?" Ethan asks
"I use the Netflix free trial every month then cancel it and make another account and use it then cancel it because I'm poor. So Netflix realised my scheme and blocked my laptop from their website. But Dahlia gave me her password so I'm alright." Rose tells
Ethan laughs and snuggles up to Rose
"He texted back!" Dahlia yells. She throws the phone at Rose and tells her to read it
"Dahlia, as much as I like this picture. I'd much rather prefer it if you didn't show this through the phone and in real life." She reads out
The whole room goes silent and we watch Dahlia nearly vomit
"Your dad's a creep." Iris says
"I- I don't know what to say about tha-"
"- I'm joking!" Rose says
Dahlia sighs a huge breath of relief and tells Rose to read the actual text
"Dahlia, you shouldn't take these pornographic pictures and send them around, especially to your father. Me and Mom will discuss further consequences when we get home." She reads out
"Thanks a lot," Dahlia breathes out
"I'm tired," Ethan groans
"It's only 8:30. Let's order." I convince
"Sure. Where's the money?" Iris asks
"In my room." I say
Iris nods and runs into my room, a loud bang fill the room followed by shrieks of terror. Rose runs first towards the screaming and then Dahlia then Ethan and I. We find Iris shaking in glue and flour
"That was for you!" Iris screams, pointing at me
"Well, I guess it's karma, then" I calmly explain. Dahlia groans and attempts to wipe herself whilst yelling profanities
