Sanctuary

There is none,
Between broken glass windows,
And fallen pillars,
He's gone,
He's dead,
And he's never coming back,
The only thing to do,
Is to pray to Gods,
That we no longer believe in,
Because no one but me,
Exists to believe in them,
And I do not,
So I sit there,
Under false sanctuaries,
And seek hope,
From deities,
That cannot help me,
For they cannot reach me,
To answer my prayers,
My pleas to have them help me,
Help my dying planet.
