"Oww." says Castiel as he walks into the kitchen where you are pouring a bowl of cereal for yourself
"What's wrong?" You ask as you look at up the now human Castiel, who just recently got his grace stolen, with concerned swirling in your eyes
"My mouth is causing me pain." says Castiel before letting out a small groan
"Oh, someone better see the dentist." says Dean walking into the kitchen with a toothy grin
Dentist? Thinks Castiel confused
"Oooh, food." says Dean grabbing your plate of toast
"Hey, that's mine!" You call after him as he heads out of the kitchen
"Not anymore." says Dean as he takes chunk of your toast while maintaining eye contact before he disappears
"He is such an ass." You mutter with a groan before you grab more bread
"What's a dentist?" questions Castiel with a mixture of curiosity and confusion
"It's a just doctor for your mouth." You explain
"Oh..." Castiel says nodding his head in understanding
"If you want, I can book you an appointment with one. They might be able to fix whatever is causing you pain." You offer with a small shrug
"I would like that very much. Thank you, Y/N." says Castiel with a small smile
"No problem, Cas." You say smiling at him before the moment is ruined by a sleepy giant walking into the room
"Ugh, everything is so bright." groans a hungover Sam Winchester
You laugh at the tall boy's misery causing him to glare at you.
You head to the library after searching a few other places for the blue-eyed man later in the afternoon. You peek into the library to see him sitting in a wooden chair staring down at his hands.
"Hey, Cas. I booked you an appointment with a dentist. Tomorrow at noon is when the appointment is." You inform him as you walk into the library
"I don't think I want to go anymore, Y/N. Sorry for bothering you." says Castiel as he looks at you with a neutral face
You give him a facial expression of perplex because of his words.
"Why don't you want to go anymore?" You ask as you sit down next to the ex-angel
"It....it's just something Dean showed me." answers Castiel as he looks into your eyes
"What did Dean show you?" You question confused
"This movie....called "The Dentist"." answers Castiel
"It was about this horror dentist who went around doing horror able things to his patients. He was...torturing them. Dean said that's what will happen to me if I go to the dentist." explains Castiel and you can see the worry in his eyes
"Dean was just messing with you. That's a movie Cas, it was totally untrue. I promise the dentist won't torture you." You say but you could see that Castiel still seems a little nervous
"Will you feel better if I go with you?" You question
"Yes...I believe so." answers Castiel with a nod of his head
"Then I'll go with you." You say with a small smile
"Thank you, Y/N." says Castiel with a small smile
You sit next to Cas as you drive the Impala the next day heading towards the dentist
"Won't Dean be angry that you took his car without his permission?" asks Castiel as he looks over at you
"Probably, but this is what he gets for showing you some dentist horror movie." You answer with a shrug
"Yes, it was...so gross. Do humans enjoy that kind of thing?" asks Castiel with confusion
"Some do, it's not really my thing. We are already live life's out of a horror movie so why watch one?" You reply
Castiel nods as you pull into the dentist's office parking lot.
"Okay, this is it." You say as you park Baby
"This place looks....nice." says Castiel though you could tell he was a little nervous
"Don't worry, she has great reviews online. Nothing will go wrong." You say giving him a comforting smile
You sit next to Castiel at the dentist office waiting for his turn. You could tell he is still quite nervous since Cas won't stop looking around. You take Cas's hand in yours causing him to snap his head to you. He looks down at your action, a smile forming on his face from the contact.
"Cas, you'll be fine." You say giving his hand a comforting squeeze
"Castiel Smith." reads the lady using the name you told them
Castiel stands up as he lets go of your hand. He heads towards the assistant before he glances back at you with a nervous look which causes you to send him two thumbs up.
I can do this. Thinks Cas taking a deep breath before he heads back to the room with the woman
You let out a sigh as a dentist assistant pushes a very looped out Cas out the building in a wheelchair.
Turns out what you thought was just a normal toothache was actually Castiel needing his wisdom teeth extracted. So now you have to take care of a very loopy acting Castiel for the whole way home.
This should be fun. You think as you open the passenger door of the Impala before you help put Castiel in the passenger seat
"Thank you." You say to the kind woman
"No problem." The lady says before she walks away
Now for the fun part. You think curious about what Castiel will say to you while being completely high
You get into the driver seat while Cas looks around.
"You feel okay, Cas?" You ask as you start to drive
Castiel looks at you with a tilted head before a smile takes over his face.
"You're so pretty." says Castiel with a slur
Your cheeks heat up at his words.
"Thanks, Cas." You say with a small smile
Castiel reaches out a takes one of your hands in his intertwining your fingers.
"I really like it when we hold hands." admits Castiel with a goofy smile
You start to reply until Castiel speaks up again.
"That's probably because I'm in love with you though." says Castiel with a curious but happy looking expression causing your eyes to widen
Castiel is in love with me? You think shocked
"Look, a squirrel!" yells an excited loopy Castiel, before you can question him
Thoughts swirl in your head while a now asleep Castiel snores a bit.
You didn't know what to think in one hand, Castiel was a bit high he could have no clue what he is saying and not actually like you. On the other, a few people have told you plenty of times that the blue-eyed man does have a crush on you. A few angels have told you of his feelings and some demons including Crowley. You always thought they were just messing with you but maybe it is true.
You drag a very loopy Castiel into the bunker. His arm slung around your shoulders as you desperately try to keep him upright. Which was kind of hard since all his weight is kind of leaning on you.
"Woah, what happened to him?" asks Dean as he appears with Sam
"He had his wisdom teeth taken out." You answer
"Now will one of you help me with him." You say giving them both an annoyed look
Sam moves to your side and takes Cas from you. Sam easily being able to support him.
"I'm just going to take him to his room." says Sam
You give him a nod before Sam walks off. You bite your lip nervously as thoughts of what happened in the car still running through your head.
"What's up with you?" asks Dean causing you to snap out of your thought
"Huh? Nothing, it's nothing." You say with a shake of your head knowing the Winchester will tease you if you tell him
"Mm-hm." says Dean whole moving to where he is standing next to you with arms cross over his chest
"Cas said something about his undying love for you, didn't him?" asks Dean with a cheeky grin
You look up at him with confused eyes.
"How did you know?" You ask with wrinkled brows
"Because you just have that look on your face. The one of shock and confusion, though to pretty much everyone it was totally obvious." answers Dean
"So Cas does actually like me?" You ask knowing Dean wouldn't lie to you about this
Dean gives a slight scoff as he shakes his head.
"You really are clueless." says Dean before he moves his head to look into your eyes
"Castiel is grossly in love with you." adds Dean
So I guess it wasn't just the meds. You think as a smile forms on your face
"Now, when the two of you get together, I don't want to see any little Cas's or little Y/N's any time soon." says Dean with a teasing grin
"Oh gosh." You say with now heated cheeks
"Also, I don't want to see the two of you making out everywhere." Dean calls after you as you walk away
"Shut up!" You say back making Dean's laugh
You walk into Castiel's room a few hours later with new gauze for him. Lucky for you, Castiel is awake and seems confused now that the effects of anesthesia have worn off.
"Hey, how you feeling?" You ask with a nervous smile
"My mouth feels....weird." answers Castiel who has a mouth full of gauze
You chuckle at him.
"That might be because of the gauze in your mouth. Which we need to change." You explain
"Thank you for helping me Y/N." says Castiel after you finished helping him change his gauze
"It's no problem, Cas." You say shooting him a smile as you throw away the old bloody gauze
"Do you remember what you said on the car way home?" You ask softly as you sit next down next to him on the bed
"No...why? Did I say something bad? If I did I am very sorry Y/N." asks Castiel curiously
"No, no....it's just you said, um, you might have said that you are in love with me." You answer awkwardly
"Oh." says Castiel looking down at his hands nervously
"But-" You start as you take Castiel's hand in yours
"I didn't get the chance to tell you that I love you too." You finish causing Castiel to look up at you
Cas tries to process what you just said and finally, once he does, a grin takes over his face. Before he does something a bit impulsive, Cas captures your lips in his. Shock paralyzes you for a second before you finally kiss him back. You feel small sparks as you kiss him back which seems to bring butterflies right to your stomach.
I guess going to the dentist was a good thing.
