"If it's an emergency summoning shouldn't we get going?" I said. They all nodded in reply and we ran out of the school at top speed.
Luckily the teacher knew what to do in this situation so we exited the school and stopped there.
"Chika, you should stay here and help everyone evacuate. And Natsume please keep an eye on Chika. Also if you need to use your trigger, do so and don't go near the forbidden zone."
"Okay!" The two replied
"Yuma, you should give them mini replica." I said
"You read my mind." Yuma brings out a small version of replica and gave it to Chika. "We can use mini replica to communicate through and if you're in trouble one of us will be there."
"Okay, Yuma and Harumi will come with me to kill as much neighbours as we can!"
"Of course!"
Before we put our triggers on everyone in the school came out to the windows and wished us luck.
"Trigger On!" We all said, and in a matter of seconds we were transformed.
A lot of wows and amazings was being said up there.
"Let's go." Osamu said and with that we ran off at full speed.
We ran and ran and yet no neighbours were in our path, which I guess was lucky for them. Suddenly, HQ Director Shinoda starts speaking to us through the triggers. Summarizing what he said is fight to your hearts content all except C-Ranks who will help with evacuation.
"Guys wait." We all stopped. "I forgot to mention one last thing about Aftokrator. My friend was a pretty big deal back there so he knew basically everything that was going on. He told me that they were creating new trion warriors. And it isn't normal, it's fast, smart and pretty strong. I honestly don't think that a group of B-Ranks would be able to defeat them from what I saw from a prototype. I'm pretty sure they're called Rabbits. They capture trigger users for trion, and the outcome isn't pretty."
"I see, I've heard about this new type." Replica says
"Shouldn't we tell everyone about this! Lives could be in danger!" Osamu shouts
"And what, blow my cover. Border's gonna ask you where you got this information and what are you going to say, 'some other neighbour girl who came some time ago that I didn't tell you about'?"
"Then why don't we have Replica tell them!"
Before I reply we get another message from Shinoda-san. And he basically said to watch out for a new type trion soldier that was over 3m tall and takes in trigger bodies. Which was the Rabbit.
"That works." Replica nods and starts to tell Shinoda-san as we took care of some Trion Soldiers. "You guys stay here, I'll go back down to make sure that there aren't any trion soldiers that snuck by."
"Haru! You should take a mini Replica then. Just in case you need to contact us." Yuma says
"Of course. I'll be near the end of the forbidden zone just to make sure no one slips by." I look over at Osamu who's using his shield to block of a soldier, then I look back at Yuma. "Stay safe and good luck."
"You too." Our foreheads touch as our eyes closed. It was a thing we did.
At full speed I make my way to the end while killing some neighbours on the way. Eventually I make it right at the end. I saw people continuing to evacuate. Not everyone was out yet. I use my hands as a binocular and search for Chika, but she isn't anywhere to be seen. Aftokrator's only here to find a new leader. One with high amounts of Trion, and that obviously leads to Chika. She's the only meeden here that has high levels of Trion. It's her that we all need to protect.
I swear to god I need to tell this to everyone beforehand. Whatever, I'll just watch over her myself.
Keeping my eyes off the city, I see a trion soldier already making his way downtown a few miles from where I am. So I run there as fast as I can with my scorpion at my side, and with one slice, I cut his eye into tiny pieces before he reached the city. I stopped and looked back. I touched its scales, there was definitely something inside. I cut the stomach open and there it was. A Rabbit. I smiled.
I made a stance and held the sword to my face. The Rabbit ran towards me, and it was pretty fast. I didn't move at all until it reached a good distance. At the exact spot needed I cut the Rabbits body in half through it's eye. And with that it was gone. It wasn't that hard to kill it. But there were obviously other; specialized types making their way.
I looked up at the grey sky and closed my eyes.
"Hyuse. I know you're here." I said using my Side Effect
"Haru." He says. "So you weren't lying. You really were coming to this place."
"You know humans have the ability to adapt, learn and fight back with a strong heart. I need to learn that, and you know that. Plus, I'll tell you this now, I know your plans, and I know the meeden's. Even though yours is much more well thought of, they'll win. Not because of me. Because they strive to protect."
"We'll see about that. And hopefully we don't see each other, you know where that'll lead to."
"To your loss?"
He laughed internally, but didn't even move his mouth in real life. I know he didn't. "You know what type of person I am. I'll never betray my homeland."
"I wouldn't dream of it."
I broke the communication off. Hyuse knows that I'd never tell Border their plans and that I'd never tell Border's plans to them. I guess I'm the middle man. I open my eyes and see a whole bunch of Trion soldiers approaching at max speed. At least half of them bear a Rabbit.
"Bring it on." I quickly and cleanly killed them all in one strike. I saw a few B-Ranks shooting or attacking. But they were slow. So using my shield to protect myself from their shots, I helped them. Hopefully I moved fast enough that they didn't notice that I was a C-Rank, and that I striked deep enough that I also finished the Rabbit that could've possibly been inside one of them.
After striking the majority of them down a stood at the rooftop of a building in the city. It gave me a wide view to see any other upcoming Neighbours. I stood at the top and killed every Trion Soldier that came near. There were a few orders from HQ stating that we should focus more on killing the new types and any other neighbour since we still don't know what their plan is. Then HQ ordered that all the B-Ranks go to the south of the city as more Trion Soldiers were there. Which was true. I was definitely out numbered.
"Hey Replica, do you know where Chika is right now?"
"She is still evacuating people near the school."
"Hmm, let's go visit her then."
I ran to the school and saw Chika standing there with her arms wide evacuating groups of people. She was in danger. The majority of the Trion Soldiers were coming from the south which is where she was. I had to make sure that she was safe, cause I'm 99% sure that the Neighbours want Chika.
"Haru-chan!" Chika exclaimed
"Chika! Are you okay? Where's Izuho-san?"
"We got separated by some of the seniors."
"Oh. Anyway, I need to tell you that you out of all people here are in danger. You have a lot of Trion within you and Aftokrator is looking for a new leader with lots of Trion, which is you."
"But how about you?"
"I don't think they'll even come near me. But it's you who I need to protect."
"I see. I guess it's a good thing that the majority of the civilians here are evacuated."
"Remember, Osamu is already making his way here and I'm very close by. If you need me, tell me, I'll be with you in a split second."
"Wait where are you going?"
"I feel like an Ilgar is coming, I should probably take care of that." She looks at me kind of scared. Maybe I broke the news to her too fast. "Stay safe Chika."
