When she was younger Cela Wheeler stuck with her older brother and younger sister, they stayed away from other kids their age, knowing that they were not welcomed by them. Cela was a sweet and quiet girl, but she had trouble trusting people and that was made even worse when she was walking home one night alone.
A few years later and now she's a beautiful young adult, still sticking to her siblings' side, but when they come across an opportunity that is just to good to pass they join the Circus. She meets people like her, people that don't fit in, people who are different. Then she meets him.
When he was younger Philip Carlyle had everything, his parents were rich and he lived in a lavish mansion with plenty of friends. But as he got older he became troubled, he realized that money and fame isn't as great as people make it out to be.
When Phineas Talor Barnum, offers him a job working at his circus he's hesitant but decides to give it a shot, and it's at the circus that he met her.
When the two imagined their futures, they didn't picture themselves as show performers and they definitely didn't picture themselves falling for each other.
