He stepped back with a smirk on his face , scratching the back of his brunette hair - i thought to myself , remembering one simple rule mum gave to us when me and Aloe were young , that rule was to stay away from any other district members , i mean like you know ... "JAKE!" i screamed stepping forwards to throw my hand towards his face but it ducks at my aim
"Wow , the first time you called me by my first name" he said still doing what he was doing everytime i tried to hit him.
"Jake isnt your name , it stands for different things - such as ; Jack Ass Cooks Eggs , which is you" i said giving up and walking back to where mum and Mark wait. I could tell that Jake was following me from behind as i tended to pick up my speed to keep away from him , i can admit i did like Jake a little but i dont like him now.
"Thanks for the nickname" he stopped
"Shut up!" i said opening the door to the window that looked into Snow's new room , which was smaller , alot more claustrophobic , i turned to were the computers were , they were only there to generate the power in the mansion , i could now see Mark , mum and dad's faces glued to the window smiling and laughing - " what's going on?" i ask in confusion as Mark pulls my arm and points directly at snow.
"He's becoming weaker" he said looking at me with his blue eyes , "I guess we sorta got the potion to work?" he said turning his attention back to window.
"Human-mockiingjay" i murmured
"What?" Mark turned back to face me , as i shake my head and pulled my arm from his grip to walk over to the computers to see any progress made , the war was still on - we were loosing more and more people in wars just to help us , we were loosing power in districts as there was no longer a distrct 4 as it was destroyed as the dark days returned.
"Any progression on the districts achieveing anything?" i said asking one of the men who now help out in the mansion.
"District 1 ,3 ,5 are achieveing less deaths due to explosives ma'am"
"Alright , could you send out a troop to detect any unbombed bombs and destroy it as soon as its in sight , also check on the supplies for hospital needs in 12" i commanded again as i walked back to the window , after standing there for a while i began to grow a smirk , "He deserves that pain , he deserves every pain he caused panem to have" i said crossing my arms while watching snow failing to stand.
"Amanda , dear , you are right - but you didnt know that your the -" my mum said as i cut her off
"The human- mockingay yeah yeah - a mutt + mutt makes a human , you were their mockingjay making me the mockingjay which i inheited blah blah" all eyes in the room turned their attention to me , it felt so uncomfortable i could feel my insides burning , setting first to everything as it explodes one by one.
"Human- mockingjay?" mark questioned pulling me to his laps
"A human- mockingjay isnt any ordinary mockingjay just like i was , they seem more powerful , stronger and braver - Amanda here is one of the first Human mockingjays , who didnt die in fire then turned into a mutt , human - mockingjays have different powers , hers is attracton" my mum said still facing the view of snow who now is vomiting blood.
"Attration?" mark questioned again
"She meant as a leader attraction , as soon as i hit that first arena meeting you , panem felt something in me knowing that i could end this again and put snow down in his grave once and for all" i said " i dont blame what i was given , i cant give up what is the only hope of people who are still alive , or those who believe in me"
the room went quiet again , but the only sounds that you could hear was from outside or snow's loud coughing , keepers were numbering down and district capacity increase as the amount of child birth increased within the 3 months Snow was no longer in control. I could hear people shouting and chanting with hope knowing i was now the leader , knowing that they could become a person who is mostly fed.
"Ma'am , do you want me to send out food for the people outside and in the districts?" a voice interrupted the silence with made more noises as everyone gasped
"Yes , give them double this time , i want them to build their ability of skills and stamina" i said , " infact give the famillies of the fallen a bit more , give them something thats worth their time"
"Yes ma'am"
"Your being very kind love" Mark said playing with my blonde hair
"Well , there is a possible chance that he could become powerful again and would maybe take control again and force people not to eat alot , so they need to start buliding up what they need and have a food storage incase that happens" i said pointing at snow throughout the whole time i was talking , who knew i could actually be right about this.
