*Lindy's POV*
I stand outside the classroom hoping to steal a glance through the small window on the door. Just my luck it seems i can't see every angle of the room and there's no teacher in there. If i walk in now anybody can say anything. "I told you so." "Of course he'd cheat with her, just look at her." "He's the fittest boy in the whole school, any girl would do the same." People were shocked when we first started dating, everybody said we would last three weeks max, we proved them wrong, i guess i had that to cling to.
"Lucinda." Miss Drew said from behind me as i tried feebly to peer through the window again.
"Lindy. Please call me Lindy." I reminded her again, i swear she used my full name just to irritate me. I had reminded her of my preferred name at least a million times since i had started this school, this hell hole of a school i had never liked and still fucking can't stand for the life of me. "Ah yes, well Lindy, if i may enter my classroom and i insist you do too." I take a deep breath and follow behind Miss Drew as the class all look up at me as though a flamingo has just entered the room. My face turns the same colour whilst an eerie silence fills the room. I slump behind a desk at the back of the room in a corner.
"You know for someone who's just been cheated on, you couldve at least tried to look hot for the first day back." The silence is broken by none other than Casey Marie, the bitchiest person i've ever had the misfortune of meeting and also best friend and evil sidekick of the girl Matty cheated with.
"You know what Casey, Just because your slut of a best friend can't keep her fingers off other girls boyfriends doesn't mean there was anything wrong with the girlfriend in the first place." Adam Hann to the rescue, i smile athim and blink back the tears that threatened to fall whilst Casey just turned back to her phone. She had always liked Adam but sadly for her he wasn't interested and i didn't blame him, he was way to good for her.
As i turned to face the front, the door opened and there he stood, like a deer caught in the headlights.
*Matty's POV*
I walked into the room feeling sick. I hadn't been nervous before, just impatient more than anything. She had avoided me all summer,making pathetic little excuses as to why i couldn't see her, her Mum was a terrible liar, kind of the same way Lindy was. She couldn't lie straight in bed.
I looked around the room until i saw the brightest green eyes and tanned skin i had grew to know like the back of my hand. Her face looked tired and worn, yet she still looked perfect to me. One thing i favoured about her was that she was real. Her personality was her, she was never fake to anybody, and she wasn't one of those girls you see caked in make up and masses of false hair, she was striking.
"Ah Mr Healy, so glad you could join us. It's ten past nine." Miss Drew said in her high pitched annoying as fuck voice.
"I know, who would've thought." I replied sarcastically and sat down at the nearest available desk which was furthest away from her. Damn. "Mr Healy you're lateness isn't acceptable, we cannot have a repeat of last term." Miss Drew pipes up again.
"I didn't show up last term, i'm here now," I point out causing her to roll her eyes and turn her back on me. The woman had some serious issues with me, not like i cared.
"Heard you had a good Summer Matty. Fair play, Georgia is so hot. No wonder you ditched Lindy, she's not a patch on that." Some douchebag leaned over his desk.
The second he mentioned Lindy, my fist collided with his Jaw.
