Chapter 4:
"It had a tail." Scott told his girlfriend in a hushed voice as they climbed up the wall. He was still in shock at the creature they had seen and had no idea what it could have been. The only relief was that it had left without hurting either of them. "I don't have a tail."
She grinned at him, her eyes shining with humor. She found it amusing at how freaked he was about the tail. "Maybe you just haven't grown it yet."
Scott looked at her in disbelief. "I'm not growing a tail, Im. Ever." He deadpanned, shuttering at the idea of ever growing on. He glanced at her, noting that she had stopped a bit above him. "Are you slowing down for me?"
"I was just waiting for you." She said, smiling at him.
"What? Waiting for me to catch up?"
She noticed that he wasn't going as fast as her. "You looked like you were struggling."
"Maybe I was admiring the view." He said, eyeing her butt before his eyes flickered up to her blue one's.
She rolled her eyes, "Try admiring from afar." She teased, going up now to beat him. As she came to a stop and was ready to tease him some more and she scoffed when he was now a bit above her.
Scott chuckled. "I guess it's your turn to admire the view." He joked, wiggling his butt a bit and didn't notice her nod her head.
He felt a sudden push on his foot and slipped, falling back down and was now hanging a foot off the floor thanks to the wires. He stared up his girlfriend in disbelief, seeing the twinkle of mischief in her blue eyes.
He gave her a look that said he was going to get her back and she gave him a sheepish smile in return.
Finstock along with the rest of the class chuckled. "McCall, I don't know why, but your pain gives me a special kind of joy. Right? All right, next two." Coach glanced at two of his students. "Stilinski, Erica, let's go. The wall."
Imogen climbed back down, unstrapped herself so Stiles could go and walked over to her boyfriend who was eyeing her as she reached up and pecked him on the cheek.
"Don't be mad." She said softly, her blues eyes staring up at him.
He found his resolve crumbling at her expression and he gave her a soft look. "I'm not." He muttered, pulling her into his arms and nipped her neck. "But, I'm still getting you back." He growled lowly so no one heard him.
When he pulled back, he saw her cheeks flushed by his insinuation and he smirked.
They only looked away when they heard Erica whimpering in fear. "Erica. Dizzy? Is it vertigo?" Coach asked, unsure of what was going on with the blonde.
"Vertigo's a dysfunction of the vestibular system of the inner ear." Lydia said smartly, they all gathered to look at the blonde. She crossed her arms over her chest. "She's just freaking out."
"Erica." Coach said once again.
"I'm fine." Erica stammered, clutching the wall tightly as she tried to not think about falling.
"Coach, maybe it's not safe." Allison spoke up softly. "You know she's epileptic."
Finstock gaped at her before looking at Erica. "Why doesn't anybody tell me this stuff? I have to get - Erica, y - you're fine. Just - Just kick off from the wall." Once the blonde was down, he looked relieved. "Th - There's a mat to catch you. Come on. See, you're fine. You're on the ground. You're all right. Let's go. Shake it off. You're fine."
Erica walked past everyone who was hiding their laughter. Imogen and Scott watched her go with sad expressions.
Everyone headed to the locker rooms to get ready for their next classes. The young witch, was a little put off by how everyone had made fun of Erica for freaking out. It wasn't the girls fault.
She'd never spoken to the girl since she really wasn't used to going up to people and being their friends. Every time she did build a friendship with someone, they all came up to her or in Isaac's case, they bumped into each other.
Her blue eyes flickered around, searching for the blonde in hopes that maybe she could offer her friendship. Except, Erica seemed nowhere to be found and furrowed her brows. She saw the girls things, knowing they were Erica's since no one was standing around where the bag was.
She glanced at Allison. "Have you seen Erica?"
"Um no." Allison murmured also looking confused about the blonde's whereabouts.
Having heard their conversation, Lia approached them. "I think I saw her heading out a couple moments ago." She said.
Imogen furrowed her brows, wondering why Erica would just leave without getting dressed.
"Oh no." She muttered, realizing what Erica's intentions suddenly were and ran out of the locker room. There were other girls including Stiles who were also going out to check. She saw her boyfriend placing Erica on the floor and realized she was right. Erica had tried to climb up the wall and now she was having an epileptic seizure. "Put her on her side." She recalled some things that her uncle had taught her. She glanced at her boyfriend in confusion. "How'd you know?"
He let Erica hold his hand as she shook. He thought back on the way his hand had started to shake. "I just felt it."

That same night, Imogen was with Lia who had invited her over to her place. The two girls were currently outside in Lia's backyard where she was showing Imogen a new spell.
"Okay, since it's obvious that you like surrounding yourself with dangerous people, it's obvious that you should learn some more defense spells." Lia said, smiling as she stared at the blue eyed witch.
Imogen sighed, trying to not feel offended by her obvious dislike of her dating a werewolf and being friends with a hunter. "What kind of spell? I mean, I already know how to break someones bones and how to use telekinesis type spells."
"That's good but, how about this spell." Lia suggested, showing her the spell she found in Imogen's grimoire. "It'll definitely come in handy when any supernatural creature tries to attack you and it'll slow them down."
"Okay." The blue eyed beauty nodded, reading the spell over and over again. She hummed under her breath as she started to memorize the spell.
Lia pursed her lips thoughtfully as she eyed the girl. "Can I ask you something?" She asked curiously.
Imogen looked away from the book and nodded. "Go ahead."
"It's about your family." She started, staring at the history book in front of her as she multitasked between doing her homework and talking to her. "Do you have any other family members, you know, since they could also use magic."
The Lewis girl swallowed thickly at her question, looking away. "Um, well, I know my grandparents passed away before I was born and my mom died when I was four." She said, chewing on the inside of her cheek. "My uncle was her only sibling and he didn't have kids. I don't know who my dad is so, as far as I know, Uncle Ben is the only family I have left."
"Oh." Lia sent her an apologetic look. "I'm sorry I asked."
"It's okay." Imogen said softly, knowing the question was bound to come up. "So, when are your parents coming home?"
The blonde pursed her lips at her question, looking away from her homework. "They're on a business trip so they won't be home for a while, but I'm used it already." She said, seemingly unaffected by her absentee parents.
Imogen stared at her thoughtfully before she suddenly smiled. "You should join Uncle Ben and I for dinner tonight. It's his day off and he's making pasta tonight."
Lia looked at her in surprise, blinking a couple times before a smile appeared on her lips. "That sounds great!" She beamed.

Ben stared at the blonde haired girl in front of him as he sat down to eat. Imogen had already introduced the girl as her new friend and a fellow witch. The last part had surprised him, especially since he was aware of how the low witch population in Beacon Hills.
He knew of the Davis family witch bloodline. They were different from his own family line.
They were more specialized in potions and spells unlike his family that were known for their herbs and healing spells. He was just glad that they had good defensive spells that Imogen could use to protect herself.
The herbs was the reason that his sister was so good at creating different pastes and salves. It was something that his mother had taught them. Although, Viola was always better at it then he ever was and it was also because he never showed real interest in it. His mom had told them, that despite not being able to use magic, they could use other ways to heal and protect people.
It was for that reason he had decided to become a doctor after his sister passed away. He had found a different way to heal people that didn't involve herbs or magic.
He was surprised that the Davis family would move to Beacon Hills since they tended to live in New Orleans. He knew they had their own coven there so, he wondered what could have caused them to move to Beacon Hills. They also didn't have their magic skip a generation like theirs did.
He had met Lia's parents only briefly when he was a kid so he didn't really remember them all that well. So, he wasn't so sure of what to make of the beaming blonde haired girl who was currently chatting away with his niece as they ate.
Ben only knew one thing and he wasn't sure why, but he didn't trust Lia Davis one bit. She reminded him of someone he knew long ago and he really hoped that the feeling of wariness he had would eventually go away.
