Mina's POV
More than an hour passed... But why my heart still beating fast?
I couldn't concentrate on whatever I wanted to do... His kiss was so rough, and he just left like that. I still could feel his lips on mine... I had not fallen for him, rite?
He let me slept on the floor, then cheated on me but still wasn't shy about it... I might be dumb just easily fell for him.
But... Here again, I carried his baby... As much as I hated that night I fell deeper and more attached to the baby. He's growing inside of me... Even though I dislike his father but how could I hate him when he's just a pure flesh for few weeks old?
Few days like this passed all I did just read a book, sleep, eat or watch dramas.
It was almost Ten in the morning when the maid came in, they rarely woke me up so I knew that something happened.
"Mina-ssi sorry for waking you up but I need to tell you something" she soft-spoken.
"Something happened to my mom?" I panicked.
"No" she smiled "Chaeyoung-nim is here in Korea but he is a bit busy but tonight there is a ceremony for the businessmen in Seoul so he told me that you should prepare yourself and wear a nice dress and be ready at six"
"Oh" I rubbed my head "Thank you Myeong" I smiled at her and eventually she left.
I didn't have a dress... What should I do?
I got up and wore a random outfit, luckily I have the credit card that Chaeyoung gave me... I missed Momo, she used to accompany me everywhere , I wonder how she was doing.
I then told the driver to drive me to Lotte mall.
I was walking around, the first thing I did was eating chocolate, the shop was teasing me so I bought different types of chocolate bars until I arrived at a dress shop, after looking around for more than fifteen minutes I saw a white dress.
"It's very elegant" said the saleswoman.
"Yeah it is" I smiled looking at it, I didn't make a wedding or tried wearing a wedding dress so I just wanted to try something white on me.
I bought it and was walking to the front gate when I passed by a kids' shop. I smiled widely seeing the overalls and the baby's equipment but it's too early to buy them. I decided to eat a burger at Burger King on of my favorite restaurant... I can't believe that I ate two chicken royal! I washed my hands and rushed outside the mall, it was almost three, time flies while you did shopping.
The driver was waiting for me as soon as I sat in the backseat he told me that Chaeyoung's at the mansion... I didn't know why but I felt so nervous. My heart already throbbed in my chest.
The ride suddenly became so long, my knees were weak, why I felt like this?
I took a deep breath and opened the door of our room, it was a bit dark and Chaeyoung was sleeping on the bed, I made sure to not make any noise... He was still in his outfit. A white shirt, black pants and black socks... He looked tired with frowned while sleeping. I grabbed a blanket and covered him. He slept with one of his hand on his head, the way he frowned and pout while he slept was cute yet made me worried but I found myself smiling and staring at him until he moved a bit making me step backward then hit the bedside drawer with my leg and the water cup fell on the floor making a loud noise, he got up literally shocked and looked at me.
"I- I was covering you but- But- I'm... sorry" I stuttered and kneeled on the floor to pick up the broken pieces but he grabbed my hand and carefully pushed me away.
"I will do it" he said in his rough voice.
"No... It's my-"
"I SAID I WILL DO IT!" he yelled a bit "Now just sit on the bed" he frowned while picking up the pieces "Let's not see any blood here" he said referred to her in a low voice. I sat on the bed and hugged my legs while looking at him.
"I woke you up, I am sorry"
He was kneeling on the floor he stretched after he picked up all the pieces "Noo.. it's fine, thank you for covering me" he smiled warmly at me but I looked away nervously.
I noticed that he was eyeing me or my belly I must say "It's bigger now" he was looking at me with puppy eyes.
I touched it and smiled "Nae, he is three months old now"
"Cool" he got up and sighed "I will take a shower and prepare myself"
"Naee~" I hummed and got up.
Chaeyoung was busy taking a shower when he remembered that he didn't bring a towel nor an underwear... He cursed himself more than twice, he was starting to get cold, he took a deep breath and stepped out of the shower and slightly opened the door.
"Uhm Mina" Chaeyoung called me. I walked to the bathroom door "Nae?"
"I forgot my towel and uhm my" he muted a bit "Boxer"
My cheeks turned red, I looked around and saw them on the couch, I grabbed them and handed it to him and rushed back to the small dressing room. I laughed at myself and started to undress. I wore the white dress, it really fits me. I stepped out and chaeyoung wasn't there I bet he already finished dressing, I put some light make up and straightened my hair.
I grabbed my white purse and left the room. I guess everyone in the mansion was ready but me. I was going downstairs and Chaeyoung he was wearing a fitted black lounge suit and he was talking with Jeongyeon who noticed me and patted Chaeyoung's shoulder.
He turned around and looked at me, I could see how shocked he is his lips parted and he wasn't even blinking.
I stood in front of him and smiled at him "I am ready"
I noticed that jeongyeon elbowed him, he faked a cough and nodded "Let's go then" he gently put his hand on my back and we walked together.
Jeongyeon smiled and watched them, he looked to his right and sighed. He felt lonely, Momo should've been with him but his selfish grandfather didn't allow this marriage to happen, he took a deep breath and walked to his car where he followed Chaeyoung's car to the event.
We arrived at the Sheraton hotel where the event took a place, Chaeyoung parked the car and turned to face me "Are you nervous?" he asked.
"Yes a bit"
"Don't worry me and jeongyeon are here" he smiled softly "try to make friends too"
"I will do my best"
He smiled and opened the door for me and offered his hand to me "Let's go"
I held his hand and we walked together to the events hall, it was huge and organized with round tables surrounded by chairs. There were foods... Great because I was so hungry hehe.
What made me comfortable was Chaeyoung didn't leave my hand at all. He was talking to many business men and I felt tired of standing up.
"I am tired" I whispered to him "Shall I search for Jeongyeon and-"
"NO!" he cut me off "Let's walk to our table, it's there" he said pointing at table number six. I giggled, he was jealous again. Jeongyeon was sitting there, I was about to pull the chair when chaeyoung pulled the other one for me so I would n't sit next to jeongyeon. Seriously this guy...
I was eating some nuts as they placed them in front of me, I noticed that chaeyoung was smiling and looking at me so I stopped.
"Don't stop, it makes me happy to see you eating healthily"
"But I will get fat" I stated and he laughed.
"Eat well mina-ssi eat well" he patted my shoulder his touch made me froze in my place, what was happening to me?
After some boring speeches by the wealthy businessmen, they blasted some classical music and some couples were dancing.
"Go and dance with her" jeongyeon whispered to chaeyoung,
"What? Hell no! I am a bad dancer"
"Oh really? then let me go and invite he-" jeongyeon was about to get up when chaeyoung forced him to sit down.
"I will break your legs if you did" chaeyoung joked while jeongyeon chuckled.
"Then go and dance with her stupid!"
Chaeyoung sighed and looked at Mina who was swaying to the music and staring at the couples on the dance floor.
"Uhm Mina" Chaeyoung said grabbing my attention "Do you want to dance with me?"
"Hm?"
He unbuttoned his jacket and got up "shall we dance?"
He held my hand and I got up, following his steps we walked to dance floor and I was facing him he put his right hand on my left hip side, and his left hand gently grasped my right hand and hold it up he placed it on his left chest same as my right hand. I wasn't wearing a high heel, he was taller than me and he kept staring at my eyes. I felt shy and nervous, I yelped and looked away but he gently held my chin and made me look at him.
"You are so beautiful mina" he said softly enough for me to say it.
"Thank you"
"I was a fool when I thought for a moment that you don't suit me"
"I still don't chaeyoung-ah, you were forced to marry me and you-"
"Shuush" he touched my lips with his index finger and smiled at me "Let's forget this now and enjoy the night can we?"
I nodded my head slowly and smiled at him, I didn't know that looking at someone's eyes could make me this happy... I think I am starting to love him and get used to him around me... I forgot about his mean words or actions. I think we have to start a new page now.
11 PM
After we arrived at the mansion, I took off my dress and make-up. I was sitting comfortably on our bed, reading a book about how to treat your kids. Chaeyoung was talking to his grandfather I guess. I was about to get up and drink water when he came into the room.
My heart... wow, I've never felt like this, it was beating so fast and I felt all my senses froze in front of him.
"Do you need something?" he asked.
"Yes water"
He didn't hesitate to pour water into an empty cup we place beside the bed, he handed it to me and our hands touched again by accident but he walked to the bathroom.
I touched my chest, is it because of the pregnancy? My heartbeats aren't stable right now, my cheeks were burning, and eventually, I woke up from my shock and sat back on the bed, doing some cross stitch I am working on.
Chaeyoung took a shower and wore his pajama, he started working on his laptop on the couch and doing some phone calls until it was almost twelve, I noticed that he was walking back and forth in wide steps in front of our bed. I was concentrating on my cross stitch but he was making me dizzy.
"Chaeyoung? Are you okay?" I asked.
"Hm? Yeah sure!" he smiled and looked back at my Aida fabric.
"Hmmmhmmm " he cleared his throat. I sighed and looked at him, what's wrong with him seriously?
My questions were answered when I saw him grabbing a bag from his suitcase.
He placed it in front of me as he sat down "It's for you" he said firmly.
"There is still something.. you know.." he pointed at inside the bag.
"Such a nice way to give a gift" I kept staring at it then at him, he was lightly smiling. "Thank you" I said and looked inside it, I found three shirts black, white and red. The smile couldn't leave my face, it's not because of the shirts it's because of the drawing of a baby doing peek a boo.
My lips parted as I held a yellow baby shoe.
"You still don't know the baby's gender so I thought yellow suits both genders" he stated "What? Why are you sad, you don't like it..?"
My tears fell from my eyes without me knowing, pregnancy is making me so emotional that day I was watching a video about a cat hugging a baby, I kept crying for five minutes and now I couldn't stop my tears.
"It's the first thing I own related to him, thank you" he smiled at him.
"I just bought them when I was free in France" he scoffed and looked around "It's not that important"
"It's important to me" he looked at me and smiled shyly he grabbed the cross stitch and placed them in the bedside drawer.
"Stop working on them you are spending so much time on them!" he kind of whined? I didn't know that he can be this childish.
We laid on the bed and eventually we fell asleep.
Third Person's POV
Chaeyoung was never a light sleeper, but he heard mina groaning next to him. He looked at her and she was frowning and mumbling un-understandable words.
"Mina Mina" he was repeating and lighting patting her shoulder until she gasped and opened her eyes, her hands went to his chest and she grabbed a fistful of his hoodie, he held her hand and caressed it.
"Are you okay?" he asked concernedly "Do you want water?"
She nodded and he gave her his bottle and she drank almost the half of it.
"I've been seeing these nightmares for one week now, I hate nights because of them"
He watched her looking down with anxious eyes but he opened his arms "Do you want me uhm" he muted for a bit "to be your dream catcher?"
She kept staring at him and at his open arms "what happened to you suddenly?"
"I realized that you are different" he stated "my arms are starting to hurt" he joked.
She found herself leaning in, burying her face in his chest while he hugged her. He finally started to fall for her, and realize that not all women are mean and full of hatred as he always thought.
He looked down at her she was in a deep sleep.
"She is beautiful even while sleeping" he said in a low voice and smiled at her, he closed his eyes and drifted to a deep sleep.
'I found a reason to wake up in the morning from now on'
