MADDIE POV.
The light shines through the window and blinds my eyes as i wake up. I sit up and wipe my forehead for some reason i was sweating like hell. I look down beside me and Harry wasnt there.
I feel kind of nervous when Harrys not about, i feel as his the one protecting me and when his not there i feel like no ones there to protect me. I have known Harry for three days and i feel like this, seriously?
I get up and look out the window, there were a few walkers on the edges of the trees, this made me feel more nervous now and by now i felt scared. I rushed down stairs and no one was around. Panic coursed through my body and i felt tears pricking at my eyes.
I know this seemed pathetic to cry but his the one protecting me and without him now i dont think i could make it. I run back upstairs and run back into my room. Still no sign of him. So i rush down the hallway until someone bumps into me.
"Woah calm down" a deep irish accent says.
I look up to see Niall, he sees my tears pouring down my face, and worry spreads across his face. He pulls me into a tight huf and rubs my back.
"Whats happened?" He asks still holding onto me. I push away slightly and look up so i can see him.
"Its Harry... i.i dont know where he is" I sniffle then wipe my eyes.
He laughs slightly and pulls me into another hug "Mads he only went down to the cellar to find some wood to board up the windows"
I start to blush and feel silly for crying "Oh-h i just got scared because there was a few walkers outside and i was scared if he went out the or got biten or so-"
"Shh his just down in the cellar, i understand why your upset" Niall cuts me off and pulls my arm slightly "C'mon i will take you down there i was going down there to help him now anyway" He smiles.
I follow him downstairs and to the front door where there is a little cupboard of to the side, well i thought it was a cupboard but it truns out to be the door to the cellar. He opens it up and a bit of dust comes from the force of the door.
"Its a bit dark so just hold onto my shoulder if you want, theres a little light down there though" He says then starts to walk down the stairs.
The stairway was very narrow and sent chills down my spine. It was freezing down here and really dark which wasnt the best thing. We got to the bottom of the stairs, the cellar was massive it had shelves everywhere with old toys, pieces of tools, wood, paint all sorts of stuff me and Niall weaved in and out on the shelves to get to the back corner of the cellar where Harry was sorting out wood to board up the windows, there was a massive tourch on the floor which lit up the whole corner.
Harry had his jeans on and his shirt tied around his head. His dark tattoos looked magnificent againsted his tanned skin. his body looked all sweaty from the hard work he must of been doing.
"Niall could you hand me that" his deep raspy voice asked.
He looked up and saw me, he smiled which looked adorable his dimples were showing and his eyes completely lit up. I smiled back and gave him a tight hug, when i pulled away he looked a bit took back about what that was about.
"Whats a matter" His voice was soft and was like a melody to my ear.
"I thought you left or something had happened to you, i didnt know where you was, i bumped into Niall and he brought me down here to see you" I say.
"Ah good old Niall bringing you down here" Niall shouts from the other side of the cellar which makes me giggle.
"Shut up and carry on with your work leprechaun" Harry chuckles
"Oi shut up at least i dont look like a girl with all that hair" Niall appears with a smirk on his face.
"I dont even look like a girl and anyway i like my hair like this" He says trying to hide the smile.
That was one thing about Harry that i love, his hair, the way it was just so curly, he could look so adorable with it but at other times look so mature, it just suited him so well.
"Okay, okay" Niall says sarcastically then walks of.
"Okay, Okay" Harry mocks him in a stupid attempt of an Irish accent which makes me laugh loads.
"Right carrying on, I would never go" He says then brushes his thumb along my cheek "I woke at 7:00 and you looked so peaceful and these last two days have been stressful so i thought i should leave you"
That reminds me i havent even bothered to get out my phone to look at the time. I grab out my phone and look at the time which reads 11:00am I gasp at how long i laied in, i never lay in that long.
"I better head back upstairs to see if eveyones alright, did you need any help" I ask.
"No but when we board up the windows i think we might need some help" He answers.
"Okay just give me a shout"
He walks up to me and gives me a soft kiss on the cheek which causes me to blush, i look back up at him and smile before walking away. I can hear him chuckle from my blushing. I walk up the cellar stairs then shut the door behind me.
"There you are i was wondering where you was" Perrie says looking over to me from the couch.
"Oh yeah i just went to go and see Harry, it looks like were going to have to help board up the windows later" I sigh and throw myself onto the couch next to her.
"Oh fun, fun, fun" She says sarcastically and rubs her face.
She was a very pretty girl even with no make up she looked georgus, i always feel so out of place when im around people like Perrie, i felt the same for Victoria.
"I was looking at the food, and its only going to last us at least till the end of the week and its already wednesday so me and Zayn were talking and we think two of us at a time should head out once a day next week to find some type of food or water" Perrie says looking down at her watch.
She had a good idea, there was going to be no stores round here for at least 3 or 4 miles unless Harry knows of any, but i wont say anything like i promised.
"That sounds like a good idea" I smile.
Louis walks into the room and seats on the couch oppisite.
LOUIS POV.
I go and sit on the couch oppisite Mads and Perrie. Maybe now was a good time to go and talk to Mads about what happened on the phone. She was good friends with my family. I remeber when her dad used to come home out of his head and on some occasions she would run to my house and stay there the night. Thats how Maddie became so close to my family. Even on the Christmas she, Victoria and Niall spent it with us.
"Erm Maddie could i talk to you upstairs quickly" I ask.
Perrie gives an odd look but Maddie smiles back then smiles over to me. She follows me up the stairs into my room and i shut the door behind her. She takes a seat on my bed and and i sit next to her. I try to hold in the tears but i just cant, Maddie had never seen me cry before im usually not one to cry in front of people but in this case i guess thats wrong.
She looks at me shocked not knowing what to do, She pulls me into a tight hug.
MADDIE POV.
Louis was cryinging in my arms i didnt even know what to do, it used to be the other way round when i used to run to his house and cry in his arms.
"Louis whats a matter" I ask i dont know what else to say im not used to people crying especially Louis.
"I--its my mum" He mumbles.
He pushes himself away then wipes his eyes.
"On the phone, the signal didnt go, i think she droped the phone and something happened" He sniffles.
"Wait so your saying the signal didnt go" I ask rasing and eyebrow trying to get to the bottom of this.
"Well no she sounded out of breath on the phone and there was screaming in the back ground, then it sounded as if she dropped her phone" He says still trying to hold back his tears.
I felt so bad for him right now, if that happened to me i just wouldnt of been able to hold into it for that long.
"I feel like i could only tell you because of everything that happened yesterday and i dont want to add more pressure onto Niall so i had to tell you"
I nod and give him a reassuring smile. "You dont know what happened, so they might still be alive she could of ran away from some walkers and droped her phone"
He nods at me and wipes his eyes "Yeah probably" I smile to him and give him one last hug.
"We should go and help board up the windows now" I say getting up and walking out with Louis following.
We both walk downstairs into the living room.
"Im just going downstairs to see if the boys need help now" I say.
Both of them nod and i walk over to the door which seems to be open now. I carefully walk down the stairs. I get to the bottom and walk back over to the corner that i was in earlyier. Niall, Zayn and Harry are all down here now and seem ready. There all holding onto pannels of wood stacked ontop of each other.
"Ah Mads could you carry the nails and Hammers upstairs" Niall says in a strainned voice walking of upstairs with the pices of wood.
"Yep" I reply and walk over to the shelf where the tools are. I find 4 hammers and a massive box of nails. 4 hammers really Harry for one house? The thought makes me laugh a little. I decied to look at some of the other tools that could possibly be used as weapons.
There was a drill but it was a plug in one which wasnt so good, i look back over to what Harry was cutting up the wood with but it was just a flimsy saw which wouldnt help much. I carry on looking but then my eyes come across something.
"Ah jack pot" I say to myself.
I push past the shelves and walk over to a wall that had an axe on it. It was hanging on the wall on a hook, It was massive. I could hardly hold it but it would be good for someone like Harry or Zayn. I picked it up and the rest of the tools i need then made my way back upstairs.
When i get up the top i walk over to the living room and throw everything onto the couch next to Perrie.
"Woah whats that?" She asks eyeing up the massive axe i was holding.
"Thought it would be good for when two of us need to each go out next week" I smirk.
"Perfect" She smirks back.
I walk over to the boys that seem to be arguing how to board up a bliming window, and i thought boys were meant to be good at all the DIY stuff. I grab a piece of wood and two nails for either side and a hammer.
I place the wood against the window and hammer it into the wall using the nail. The windows were small in this house so it wasnt that bad. I walk over to the other side and do the same. It only covered up half to the window but the boys could do the other half.
When i was younger and my mum used to be healthy my Dad used to always do DIY around the house and it used to fascinate me so i guess now i have just picked up the technique.
I brush my hands of and smirk at the boys "Now shut up and lets get this done"
They all laugh then look at the window "Good job" Niall says looking at the window.
I smirk "I know, I know"
"Well me and the pro over here will do the upstairs as theres not as many and you lot can do down here" Harry says smiling at the ingenius name that he gave me.
We both walk upstairs with him carrying the wood and me the hammer and nails. There was only 6 windows to do as Harry insists on keeping the hallway window not borded up because he wants to keep it as a look out window.
We walk over to the first window, he sets the wood down and brings over two bits. I hold the wood as he nails the wood down. He still had his top around his head, i liked the way he done that, maybe i should do it... or not. I laugh at the thought which makes Harry give me a odd look.
Before i knew it were onto the next room, i do the same for by holding up the wood and letting him nail it into the wall.
"You look cute doing all this work" He says smirking
I blush and smile looking down, Harry grabs my cheeks "Awww look at you all blushing" He dimples were proper showing now so i decied to tell him the obvious as well "Awww look at Harry with is massive dimples showing" I say, "shh, you" he smiles walking over to get the next piece of wood. "Well you should shh aswell then"
He hammers in the next piece and we walk to the next room.
"I found a massive axe in the cellar that could help"
Harry puts on a thinking expression "I dont ever remember having that in there, oh well thats good" He smiles, i smile back then hold the piece of wood up.
In no time were done, the hallway was dark now except from the beam of light coming through from the main window at the end.
We both walk downstairs and everything seemed borded up aswell, all the light had been sucked out the house and it seemed so gloomy but i guess it was for protection.
I huff and walk over to Perrie who was slouched on the sofa everyone else takes a seat and we all remain silent for a minute. I get out my phone to look at the time 2:00pm time does fly when your having fun my sarcastic thoughts tell me. Im so lucky that Victoria packed a charger for my phone otherwise it would of been dead by now.
When i put my phone away someones elses phone starts to ring to break the silence. We all look at each other shocked and each grab our phones out our pockets to see if it was them but by the look on Louis face i think it was his phone.
I'M SO SORRY I HAVENT UPDATED LIKE ALL WEEK I HAVE BEEN BUSY, I KNOW THIS CHAPTER ISN'T THE BEST BUT I MIGHT DOUBLE UPDATE TOMORROW I'M SO SORRY GUYS!!!!
