I really couldn't be bothered to go to work. Especially since it meant seeing Matt.
I heaved myself from bed, took a shower and got dressed.
When I got to the office I got the black coffee that I drop off at Matt's office daily.
When I walked in his head was in his hands and I couldn't help but stare.
I put the coffee in his desk and turned around to leave.
"Alessia wait," he said and I turned around to face him.
"What?" I asked sternly.
"Close the door," he said finally looking at me. "Sit down."
I closed the door then sat down.
Not because I forgave him, but because I wanted an explanation.
I deserved one. Especially after he fucked me.
As I sat down I looked deep into Matt's eyes. I could see hurt.
It was like I could feel his pain.
"What?" I asked again, trying hard not to show him that I felt hurt of what happened the day before.
"I owe you an explanation," he said looking down at his desk.
"Yes. Yes you do. You can't fuck me then not expect me to wonder why your ex girlfriend is coming to your office!" I said angrily.
"I understand," he replied. I couldn't understand how he could remain so calm. "Come to my office at the end of the day, and I'll explain everything."
And I did. I knocked on the door and saw that Matt had packed up all his stuffed ready to go home.
"Hey, come lets go," he said looking at me.
"I'm not going anywhere with you until you explain everything."
"Then I guess you're not going to get an explanation," he said heading towards the door.
I knew that if I wanted a full explanation, I needed to go with him.
I needed an explanation.
