A young girl sat in her dark damp and musty cell awaiting her death after what she had done and confessed to it was a guarantee she would be headed for by be nuse, she would be hung for her crimes and the forgotten all about.
Or thats what she taught would happen to her but well that's not exactly how it went after two prison guards came in and chained her hands in front of her and her angles as well as a metal collar around her neck so they could pull her through the castle and up to the office where he life would change for the better or the worse that was still u clear even after the us coming offer.
She was dragged up stone stairs her skin breaking and bleeding but by be guards just smiled maliciously at the sight if her pain as he was dragged further In t o the castle walls burning in to one and the light bringing her eyes by the time she reached a pain black oak door where they stopped and halled her to here feet before they knocked on the door and waited to be told to enter.
After a couple of seconds a male answered then with just one word "come" is all that was said before she was yet again dragged dragged by the heavy chains in the room and was practically dumped in the floor but was healed up by the chains the two men had a hold of kept here up on her feet under there weight.
Then looked up from his stack if papers and at the two gates holding her "take the chains off I doubt she will attack me or even have the street to do so" he said this and the guards took the chains off she nearly fell to her knees under her own weight but only just manages to stand without falling.
The man looked at her before he spoke "A woman is the next to be executed interesting" he remarked as she looked back at her file before speaking again "Yelena it says here that you admitted to murder and admitted it as well " his face changed for a split second but not to anything she could read
The girl Yelena only answers with a "yes sir" knows g better it was the only thing she could say that would get her sent back down there to suffer more than she was already.
To what she didn't expect was his offer "now I know you next fit the hanging but a position has recently opened in the castle and as per the law it is to be offered to the next person to be hung for their crimes is offered the job as food tester for the commander ", the man offered her the job to her astonishment I mean she was a convicted criminal in the eyes if everyone butcher self think she did admit that she had kill3d that man but then how could she have denied it after where she was found and how she was found
"your offer in me the job of food tester a criminal who as you say admitted there crime? " she asked I. Such a way it could be considered rude in the slightest but more as a miss I understanding of what he was saying
"yes that is what I am saying unless you would rather hang " he said this in a way that was rather line swing if she was stupid Yelena looked back at him for a second before she spoke

He then told Yelena she was to report here every day and ask to see Valek for her antidote, this caused confusion to her
"some will be along soon to collect you and take you to your room and yet your new uniform" and as If it was all planned out on was in fact a regular occurrence that this happened a knock at the door was heard
They came in and Yelena was told to follow them but they walked that fast and she was that starved of food and water she struggled to keep up.
There first stop was the baths and all was said was "wash twice and some till I return with your uniform " was all the plump older woman sad before she disappeared leaving Yelena alone in the room, wasting no time she washed three time just to he sure she hasn't missed a spot and c9med here hair through carefully before she soaked in the large bath tub full of hot water.
The only pace that had hot water was the castle complex she was currently in most people would have to boil water for a warm bath and put it next to there from or have a cold bath and that was it
When the older lady cone back yelling was all ready out of the baths and had one of the soft warm towels wrapped round her feeling as is she shouldn't keep people waiting on her, she quickly dressed I a red button down shirt and black pants she had to roll up and a black belt that went round her tiny frame twice to make sure her pants stayed up and dot fall down.
There next trip was to the kitchen where she was handed a small bowl if broth with little to no flavor and a small chunk of bread she wanted more but was told it would only make her throw it all back up again so she didn't asked again and went back to following this woman who hand not sent a look of anything other than pure hatred since they had left the man's office.
The next place they entered much to her own annoyance and that of the other woman who never slowed her brisk pace down for Yelena was the seamstress who turned at her appearance and rushed round clearing new pants and shirts having then before pushing her behind a privacy screen for her to change.
Once changed Yelena felt a lot more cm fit a bowl and was even handed spear uniforms as well as a pair of boots, she had taught that they would hurt adhere deep after not were I f shoes for the last year but in fact they crushed here feet and feet as if she had been wearing shoes the while time.
Next she was taken to her room and told to sleep and be ready to start work the next day at day brake.
Not feeling safe Yelena wedged her desk chair under the handle of her door being hanging her uniforms in the small closet and opening the window
It was only after all of this that Yelena realised that her room was equipped with a car for her to sleep on even if it looked bumpy and rather uncomfortable to sleep on but it was always better than the cold damp dungeon floor where she had spent the last year sleeping in her own blood sweat and well other things.
That night Yelena slept for the first time in a year or that's how it felt to her when she hard the hanging on the door and then the yelling that it was time to go and meet Valek and start her training.
So up she got getting out of bed and taking the wedged from its place and chair placing it back where it was the day before before walking out of her room and closing the door behind her self, all he for proceeding to follow the same order woman as the night before again through the maze of stone walled corridors and back to the black oak door.
One she enters she was handed a cup and told to drink it as if this killed her Valek wouldn't waist his time training her for her to die after all his hard work and have to train a new food tester so she drank it and backed out.
When Yelena woke up it was days later and she was covered in a pool of her own vomit not sure how she got there but was glad that who ever had brought her had not placed her on her coat but they hadn't even others to check on her or if they did they didn't think to clean her up a bit.
It wasn't till she hurt two fermilier voices she was use to hearing before her year in the castles dungeon, they were guards of her previous home where blagdon had son kindly taken her in or that what he like to remind her and the other girls that where there.
The were walking to each other about when would be best to well have there way with her so Yelena did the only thing she could in that moment and well just kept quiet and listened to there conversation and when would be best to damage her off clean her up and have there fun.
It was only when she was sure that they were gone that she slipped out of her room and down to the maids cleaning supply getting a bucket and disinfectant to clean the room up opening the window again so get she didn't pass out form the fumes it was giving off
She then grabbed a spark uniform and went to the baths carefully and stripped of her dirty uniform and washed twice to get rid of the smell she the. Socked on the warm bath for about twenty minutes before getting out and dried then Changed in to her uniform she had brought down with her and made her way to what she remembers being the kitchens for breakfast and that when the old lady walked in surprises to see her obviously.
