"No." I said
"Its not up for discussion." He sighed
"I'm not doing it." I stood up
"Sehun, sit down. I'm not done."
"Well I am." I walked out and slammed the door behind me, "Hell no." I muttered while walking away
I saw my mom standing in front of the couch looking worried.
"Did you know?" I furrowed my brows
"Yes, I know you hate this but please, just listen to what he has to say!" She cried
"I'm done listening. I'm tired, I'm exhausted, aren't you tired? He's always bossing us around like we're just another one of his workers. For god's sake we're his family. I'm his son."
"Sehun plea-"
"Nothing you say will make me change my mind." I said
"I'm not giving you a choice! You will do as I say." My dad walked out of his office
I ignored him and walked out of the house. I'm not doing it. I'm not moving abroad, not for this stupid company. I'm finally happy with this, and he's asking me to throw it all away.
I ended up sitting on the bench in the backyard after I had wandered a bit. My mind went back to the time Victoria came over, and how nice it was to get to see her.
There's no way I could leave all this behind.
Mr. Oh
"I didn't get the chance to tell him." I sighed
"I'll cal-"
"Just leave him alone for now, I'll get to it later." I interrupted, "I'm gonna be sitting in my office. Tell me whenever he comes back. Just tell him I want to talk to him."
"Don't forget to take your medicine first." She said
"Right." I sighed and went back inside of my office
Mrs. Oh
I heard the sound of the door click and I quickly stood up.
"Sehun!" I said
He turned and looked at me. I contemplated whether I should send him to his father's office or talk to him myself.
"Come sit here I need to talk to you." I sighed
I sat down on the couch and patted the seat next to me. He stood still for a second before giving in and sitting down. I fidgeted, not knowing where to start.
"I'll just get to the point." I said, "Your father, he's not well Sehun." I gulped
I looked at him, expecting something, but he didn't even react.
"Do you know what that means? It means he's dying, it means he won't live long. It means he won't be able to see you get married nor have kids. Do you understand what I'm saying!?"
I hadn't realized I was crying till I felt the tears drop on my hand. I wiped my eyes and looked up at him again. This time he was staring at the floor, but he stayed quiet.
"I just want you to listen to what he has to say. I know he's always tough with you. But if there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that he loves you dearly. He means well Sehun, I promise. He wants to send you to his teacher. The same one that helped him get through life. The same one who helped him build this company." I placed my hand over his, "Your father won't be there to teach you how to handle this so he's sending you to someone he trusts will help you. You and I both know you're not ready to manage this company yet. That's why he wants you to learn how to, so you don't become a mess. It's just a few years Sehun, then you'll be back before you know it."
"How long." He asked, still staring at the floor
"I'm not sure, 5 years at most." I answered
"5 years!?" He scoffed
"At most." I repeated
"How long will dad, you know?" He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose
"The doctor said he has around a month and a half left." I sighed
"When was he planning on telling me this?" He whispered
"Right now Sehun that's why he was calling for you!" I said
"Then he should've started the conversation with that. Why did he start by saying he's gonna send me abroad!?" He stood up and yelled
"Please go talk to him." I begged as my tears streamed down
He looked at me for a second as if he was thinking before he scoffed and headed to the office.
Victoria
I tried calling Sehun but he wouldn't answer me. Is he really upset at what happened during the mall? What's it to him anyway?
I sighed and left my phone on my table before going downstairs. What's the point in calling again when I know he won't answer.
"Hey mom." I greeted with a slight frown
"Is there something wrong?" She asked
"No, just tired that's all." I forced a smile
"Oh yeah, Mrs. Oh called yesterday saying there was a dress coming for you. Did you know?" She asked
"Oh yeah, did it arrive yet?" I asked
"I think it's coming tomorrow." She replied
"I can't wait to see it." I grinned
"Its so sweet of Sehun to buy it for you! Now do you regret this marriage?" She laughed
"I still don't want to get married." I said
"But if it wasn't for this, then you would've never gotten to know Sehun." She winked
"Righttttt." I rolled my eyes, "By the way, have they not set a date for the wedding yet?" I asked
"I actually don't know. The Oh's haven't brought it up, which is kinda weird." She shrugged
"Huh." I replied
"They really should give us a date soon, I mean we still haven't planned anything whatsoever." My mom started
"We still have to choose a place, a house for you both, a-"
"Mom, I get it." I sighed
"You know what, let's go see your wedding dress tomorrow." She said
"Not tomorrow." I replied
"Then after tomorrow?" She asked
"I don't know mom, I'm gonna ask Sehun first. He should be there." I said
"Fine, just make sure you tell me cause I'm coming too, you hear me?" She said
"Yes ma'am." I laughed
