Many of Naruto appeared.'Shadow clone??..... He's grown' Hakuei thought as her lips curved lightly upwards. Seeing how he has grown just makes her heart swell up in joy. She wanted to congratulate him, but now was not the right time. This was a battle. It was a battle between a genin and a demon. A battle of death. It may seem impossible between kids and a demon. But let us not forget about the two other adults.
Don't underestimate any of them. The Hatake was a prodigy of his clan. 'A man capable becoming a hokage if needed to be one.' As Hakuei puts it. He was able to copy over a thousand justus with just only one sharingan eye. Something not even an UCHIHA do properly without two sharingan.
Hakuei was as well a prodigy. A person wants and will do anything needed to establish peace between two countries. A heir to the Great Uchiha clan of The Hidden Leaf. Otherwise known, to the Uchihas, as the Great Uchiha Princess. She was of a person who chose to bear the curse mark of a certain Snake Sannin in the place of her comrades. She was the one who can mold an element, command them, and become one with the spirit of that very power. She was the only one who could do so.
They could both defeat this demon of the mist. Even if they are powerful, Zabuza had a history of his own, a bloody history.
"Ten years ago, The Hidden Mist Graduation Exam was forced to changed. This change came after the previous year..."explained Kakashi.
Sakura grew curious,"Change?......"
Zabuza kept his head down and silent. The memory of the killing raced through his mind. Slowly, a smile etched behind those bandages.
"What change? What did this devil do?"
"Without a pause or hesitation... a young boy who wasn't even a ninja had killed over a hundred of the students."
Suddenly, Zabuza looked up. His expression was an insane one. An expression full of lust for blood. Sasuke saw it.... That the expression was just the same one as the one in her eyes. That same feeling. He was ,for the first time, afraid of his sister. His sister so gentle had the same kind of lust as this.....as this demon. It was frightening. But he looked up. He had to stay strong for only one reason. A reason far more important than any of his foolish ambitions. To protect his sister was the one reason he had live and had stay strong for. He was going to make her proud.
"That was sure fun" said the demon.His gaze met with the boys, causing them to flinch in fear.
Out of no where. Zabuza appeared in front of Sasuke. He hit the boy with his elbow. Then, without wasting time, punched him. The boy fell to the ground, coughing blood. A worried voice,"Sasuke-kun!!!!"Kakashi looked extremely worried for Sasuke. The jounin glanced at his sister. She remained emotionless. Oh, how could have he forgotten... In every battle, just like her brother, her facial expression was masked behind a cold, impassive look. She looked as if she never cared. But Kakashi knew her better than Sasuke even. He could see through her hardened mask. He could see that she wants to jump in and help them.
Hakuei knew better indeed. She knew if she continue protecting the boy, he could never achieve his clan's eye. The Sharingan....that only appears when the person is in a dangerous situation or life risking battle. To have her brother wield this, she had to step back and only aid them when needed.
That brings us to the present.
All of Naruto's clone got ready to attack the man at once, who only seem a bit amused," Ah...Shadow Clones... and a large amount.." In each of the clone's grasp was a kunai," Here I come!!!"
Slowly, Sasuke began to get up, blood dripping from his mouth. He silently watch as Naruto charged the boy.No doubt he was surprised. Even with many clones, a kunai could not win against a seasoned shinobi with a big ass sword.
'It's useless! He can't be beaten!'.
Naruto threw something towards Sasuke, thinking that it was the only way to beat him. It was a simple plan. 'I see....so this is the plan....Good thinking Naruto!!' thought Sasuke. Hakuei stopped destroying the clones to watch the teamwork between the two. She smiled,'Ara......ara.....how cute! They finally thought of team work.'
Then her head felt as if it was hit several times by a rock. It pounded again and again. Though her expression did not show it, her eyes were clouded with pain. It was so bad that she had to deactivate her dojustu.
Although pain clouded her vision, she did not stop. She defeated every one of the clone until there were only six left. By then, Naruto and Sasuke had already freed Kakashi.
'All of them have gotten stronger now. What have I missed out?'
Sasuke and Naruto returned to the side lines to watch Kakashi.
The copy nin was aware that he may not have enough chakra to keep the sharingan any longer and perform the justu at the same time. That water prison absorbed a large portion of his chakra. But he couldn't fail. He had to succeed in order for his students to survive. He wasn't going to let them die like his teammates and Sensei did. Not this time.
Hakuei could see the determination within him to protect his students. She smiled, ' Kakashi has changed greatly as well.'
Although Kakashi couldn't sense it, Hakuei did. A water clone snuck up behind him and was about to slash him from the back.
Clang!
The sound of swords clashing could be heard.
One slash.
A horizontal cut.
A block.
She pushed him back.
He stumbled.
She sent a massive wave to drown him. But then again, he is a water clone. So how did she destroy him. Boiling hot water caused him to turn hot and is finally gone.
And of course, she hadn't forget about the team.
A gigantic wave came crashing down upon her team. Before it could hurt them, the water stopped and spiraled upwards. Under her command, it moved its target to Zabuza. The man was forced to his knees under the force of the justu. He looked at the woman who looked at him blankly with those cold sea blue eyes. No mercy. Even if they were friends, on the battlefield, the final connection broke. That title as friends is no more. They were enemies now on a death field.
Hakuei glared at him. He should know that this was his fault for not giving up the mission. But then again, mist ninjas are very stubborn and rarely give up. She just hope he will before it's too late. Before she ..... kills him. Just thinking about it sends chills down her spine. She hates that word. That one word that she wants to avoid doing or even using that word in a sentence. However being a ninja, this word happens everyday. She must do it... that is if she wish to.
Her power could kill people when she doesn't have enough control over them. After all, djinns are very powerful spirits.
The genins and the old man watched in awe. The two jounin stared at each other. He readied his hands as she readied her sword. Before they could send the final blow, needles jabbed themselves into Zabuza's bare neck. He fainted immediately.
Their eyes searched for the owner of those needles and finally landed on a masked ninja who looked young, perhaps in their early teens.
"You're right. He's dead," a young voice emitted from behind the mask. Hakuei was right..he was in his early teens. and somehow, the voice sounded so familiar-very familiar in fact.
Naruto seemed to have noticed as well for he seemed beyond shocked. His surprised face says so. Kakashi sighed and gestured for Hakuei to lower her weapon. She did as he transported himself from one of the many branches towards Zabuza's cold, hard, unmoving body. Making sure he was dead, the Hatake crouched down and pressed his middle and index finger to the bare neck. There is no pulse.
'He's really dead,' he thought. But said nothing.
The unknown ninja bowed his head in thanks,"Thank you very much. I have been searching for an opportunity to kill Zabuza for a long time."
Hakuei's blue eyebrows rose in suspicion. Something's not right. There were plenty of times he/she could have killed the man, especially with only needles. Kakashi then mentioned something Hakuei had forgotten about. The mask. "You're a Hidden Mist Hunter Nin aren't you?"
"Impressive. You are correct." Hakuei nearly scoffed. The mask was basic knowledge and the Hidden Mist symbol was taught during academy days. Exactly how much does this person underestimates Konoha ninjas?
"Hunter-nins?". Hakuei turned her head to the source of the voice. It was Naruto. Hakuei sighed and pinched her forehead; she needed to teach him a lot about the outside world. Thankfully, the hunter ninja was kind enough to give the boy a brief explanation about what he does. Kakashi, who was in deep thought, narrowed his eyes in suspicion towards the boy.
Naruto was still shocked and wasn't able to accept that this kid- not much older than he is- was able to defeat a man who his sensei and his sister had been struggling to take down with just one strike. He won't accept such things. So he did what came to mind first...
"WHAT THE HELL?!WHO ARE YOU?!"
"Don't worry Naruto. He's not the enemy," said Hakuei, walking towards the blonde boy, then placing her hand on his shoulder. 'For now that is', she silently added in her mind.
Naruto still wasn't having any of it. He looked up to her, into her warm blue orbs and protested,"But-But--"
A firm gentle squeeze on his shoulders and he said no more. Hakuei then gave a reassuring smile and simply looked towards Kakashi who had his back to her and said,"In this world, there are those younger yet stronger than me..."
"Hakuei's right." answered the older ninja without looking back. "Take it away."
"Farewell".......
"He's gone!!" said Naruto, once again surprised. But the surprised he felt then did not match his surprise when his Sensei fell all of a sudden.
Luckily, before he was able to hit the ground, a flash of blue and brown flashed in front of their eyes, catching their sensei. Hakuei had changed back to original clothes and caught their sensei while at it. Her once neat low ponytail was now loose and messy. Her eyes had blood dripping from them and cuts adorned her body. Her shirt had been ripped open at the shoulder and tattered. Amaterasu was tucked back into its sheath and the scroll that contained Vinea was tucked back into her pouch. And Kakashi was being carried bridal style....
Tazuna quickly offered his home as a stay for them to recover and they had accepted and now set off.
3 genins, an old man, a weird sensei, and a strange women...
