Chapter 17(meeting)
Unknown POV
I waited up in the trees for the elites to return from the attack. I finally spotted the leader of the elites walking uo to the tree, so I jumped down right in front of the leader. He was a middle aged wizard with long dark brown hair. He wasnt very tall maybe 5'6
"You lied to us!" he spat out bitterly. "You said she wasnt going to be there!"
"No I did not" I simply stated. " I said she might not be there"
"well she was" he huffed. "She killed several of my people. She killed them like animals!"
"well what did you expect, to win? Did you think you can over rule them?!" I said laughing a little at them. "I did not hire you to for that! I hired you to couse a distraction. To through them off!" I said with a hint of sarcasm
"I know that, but I wasnt expecting for the bitch of a princess to kill so many of us. If I see her I again I'll kill her with my bear hands!" he spat out
"YOU WILL DO NO SUCH THING!" I hissed at him "Try it and I'll kill everyone of your pathetic race!" I said venomously
"Im sorry my lord. I wasn't thinking when I said that. please forgive me" he begged
"Very well I forgive you....Here's your payment an more for the troubles" I said as I handed him an envelop full with money. He grinned
"Thank you my lord" with that they vanished into thin air.
Now lets go check on 'everyone' back at the castle smirking to myself
Varas POV
I opened my door to see who was knocking and it was none other than Drake...
"What do you Want drake" I said irritatingly
"well hello to you too sweet princess" he said while trying to kiss my hand, but I quickly pulled back.
"Why are you here? why arent you at camp with my brother?"
"well I was there until the queen requested me so here I am" he said with a smirk. But why would my mother want with him I wondered.
"Why would she want to see you? " I asked suspiciously
He look away and just shrugged. I know he knows something but refuses to tell me, I've tried reading his mind but he put up a wall.
"Well I cant keep her majesty waiting now until next time my sweet" he said before bowing his head and walks off.
"what does your mother want with him?" Nora asked
"I dont know but I dont think its good."

(still varas pov)
I was standing at the head of the table with my parents on the right side of me and Nora to my left. Then some clan leaders and some of the other commanders. Gabriel wasn't present, but he'll be here tomorrow while our second watches over till he returns. Then Drake entered and sat at the far end of the table. My head body guard Loosh was leaning up against the wall close to me.
"Good everyone is here and accounted for" I said using my authoritative voice. I looked around staring everyone into their eyes, they all nodded
"I called this meeting to discuss matters that happend at the camp the other night. Nora and I were attacked by hunters on our walk" everyones eyes widened in shock.
"How is that possible? they were killed off over 20yrs ago" one the clan leaders
"Thats not all" I stated and immediately everyone had there eyes on me. Clan leaders not looking into my eyes because its a sign of challenge.
"Caine is leading them as well" I stated showing no emotion. Everyone gaspe and everyone started to ramble on about the situation.
"Are you certain about this?" one of the cammanders asked
"Most curtain. Nora and I were out for um..a walk the other night and Cain walked out from the trees with several hunters by his side."
"they atracked us luckily Gabriel and some fighters showed up and help defeat the hunters." Nora added in for me. I need to be careful and not give away anything
"I heard something else princess if you dont mind me intervene" I narrowed my eyes to Drake
"Please proceed Drake" My mother said
"what has he heard!" Nora thought to me
"I'm not sure" I replied worriedly but still showed no emoition
"Yes of course please proceed Drake. What 'Have' you heard" I said sternly adding more force to the word 'have'
"Well that night you both went missing once again-" I cut him off
"we went out for walk not missing! "
"yes well your brother was looking for you anyways, I was speaking to him that night and we both heard a loud howl out into the distance. Prince Gabriel immediately shot up told me to stay at the camp site and took two fighters with him." He said with a smirk on his face. My heart rate picked up big time but I still showed no emoition. He continued saying
"I spoke to one of the fighters after they returned he said that, when they got there that he saw werewolves fighting to and that you said that the wolves weren't the enemy but the hunters...why did you say that" he question me and all eyes were on me again, I kept my gaze on drake.
I really wanted to hit him, but I kept myself calm. Everyone was waiting for my answer
keeping my gaze to him and in much authoritative tone "Yes I said that because us Vampire and those dogs have one thing in common is that we both dont like hunters. I spoke briefly with there leader an said just this one time we'll team up because we were out numbered by the hunters. He agreed an the fighters were going to attack them so I told them that the werewolves weren't the enemy that night but the hunters."
"How did those dogs come about?" my mother asked me, looking straight into my eyes
"As I said before we were on a walk and I left a part out because it wasn't important. But the part I left out was that we came across 2 mutts and we were going to fight them but then, we stop because we heard several people approaching and then when they came into veiw we saw Cain an all the other hunters behind him. We exchanged some words and we agreed just for that night we'd work together to defeat them. One of them howled for back up. I didn't call any because I knew that Gabriel would of heard it an came with fighters, Which he did. After the hunters retreated, we sent away our fighters as they did theres. We echanged a few words about how this doesn't changed a thing between us in this war and they agreed an we went our seprate ways." I said not breaking a swet and not breaking my gaze with my mother. By the looks of her expression she bought it but my father doesn't seem he did. It was really hard to insult my beloved kind like that....it also hurt a little.
"Very well" my mother said
"So what are we going to do with Caine?" One of the clan leaders asked.
"For now keep an extra look out because we have several enemy's coming up all of a sudden. We just be on high alert and aware of your surroundings. No one in your clans are allowed to be alone in the woods at night." they all nodded in agreement
"In two days we'll have another meeting on this matter and Lead commander Prince Gabriel will be leading this meeting with my assistance. Any other question?" looking around see if there's any other questions
"Ok there is none meeting dismissed" Everyone arose from there seats and bowed their heads to my mother and father then to me. Everyone exited except my father and Nora and loosh.
"You both my go I want to speak to my daughter alone" my father said
"yes your majesty" loosh and Nora said before leaving. Nora looked over her shoulder and gave me a apologetic smile.
"Vara whats going on? I know you were lying during your speech. There was some truths in it but you lied as well." he looked me in the eyes searching for something
"Father-" I was about to speak till he cut me off
"I know something is up I can see you dont want to talk about yet. I understand, you dont have to tell me right now, but when your ready I want you to tell me fair enough?" he asked sincerely
I sighed in relief. " Yes father thats fair enough. Thank you" I said then giving him a hug
"Like I said before you can tell me anything ok? I like how we can talk about anything and I want us to keep it this way"
"I do to father. Thank you" hugging him again
"I love you sweetheart don't you ever forget that"
"I love you too father"
