I can imagine McCree being like a kid on a sugar high during Christmas cause he never really got to experience it with people he loved, being a part of Deadlock and all. And then Hanzo is still kind of iffy about celebrations and Christmas seems a little too "flamboyant" for him, so having McCree run around haphazardly drains him.
