Last night we finally told them, it feels so good to tell everyone. They were all excited...except for Iris. I look over next to me and Caitlin is fast asleep, I love waking up next to her.
"Cait" I whisper in her ear
"Mmm" she mumbles
"Cait. Let's wake up. We have to start planning the wedding"
"Really! I already have so many ideas" She says eagarly getting out of the bed
"That's great. But before all of this planning, we need to get ready for work" I tell her, she turns and faces me with a sad look on her face
"I don't wanna. I just want to stay here with my fiancé all day and plan my wedding" She complains
I get out of bed and walk over to her, I wrap my arms around her.
"We will. I promise" I give her a quick kiss on the temple before we both start to get ready
S.T.A.R labs...
We walk into S.T.A.R labs to see 2 familiar faces, I wouldn't really expect them to be here.
"Felicity? Oliver?"
"Hey...here they come, the future Mr and Mrs. Allen. I knew you two were together and now I find out you two are getting married. I am so excited...Caitlin I better be a bridesmade" Felicity says more quickly than usual
"What she meant by that was congrats" Oliver says pulling me in for a quick hug
"What are you guys doing here?" I ask them a bit surprised
"Well Star City has been slow and Felicity thought it was a good idea to come and visit. Plus she wants to help plan the wedding" Oliver says
"That's great, I need all the help I can get. Hey...where's Cisco?" Caitlin asks
"He had to go out and get something. But he will be back. Now Barry, you and Oliver can stay here and catch up while me and Caitlin are going to get coffee and discuss you" Felicity says grabbing Caitlin's arm and pulling her out of the lab.
"Well how have you been Ollie?" I ask him
"Good. But not as good as you apparently, so your getting married?" He asks me again
"Yeah"
"Well I guess I was wrong about the hero getting the girl" he says bringing memories back to that conversation a few years ago
Meanwhile...at jitters...
Caitlins pov
"So tell me all about the proposal" She as as we sit there drinking our coffees.
"Well he took me for a walk outside near this lake, the moon was shining and it was very beautiful. Then he took my hand and he started telling me all about the day we met and how he instantly thought I was beautiful...then he got on his knees and proposed" I tell her thinking back to the event
"That is so sweet! I always knew you two had something special"
"I sorry I didn't tell you the last time you were here. We just decided to keep it a secret till last night. We told everyone and they were all so surprised but they were happy...except for Iris" I tell her
"What happened with her?"
"I think she really loved Barry and she was upset that he didn't tell her, she was already upset that Barry didn't tell her about him being the flash but this just...it ruined everything. So that's a bummer beacuse I know how much Barry cares for her" I tell her trying not think about those two together to much
"Well she will come around...so tell me what are your plans so far for the wedding?" Felicity ask changing the subject
"Well I wanted the wedding to take place at the same place where he proposed. That's what I got so far"
"Well we have lots of work to do then" she says pulling out this binder, it looks like a wedding binder.
This is gonna be fun.
Iris's pov
I can't believe it! Another secret he kept form me. I mean some best friend he is...this is not fair. Barry and Caitlin...I mean, they are so wrong for eachother. I definitely belong with Barry. Maybe I can convince him somehow? Yeah right...like he will listen to me. I am sitting on my couch trying to think of a way to make myself feel better but its not working.
"Hey baby are you okay?" Dad asks me taking a seat next to me
"No. How can you be okay? Barry lied to you too, yet you're so happy for them."
"Iris...I am happy for them, they have been through alot together and just because they kept it a secret doesn't mean I won't support their marriage. I wanted one of my kids to get married...and now it's finally happening. You should be happy" Dad says giving that dad speech I am so used to hearing
"Its just...I thought me and Barry were gonna end up togther" I tell him
"Sweetie. I'm sorry that it turned out like this. But if you don't want to lose Barry forever you need to support him and be happy for them" Dad finally says standing up and walking upstairs
He left me with a lot to think about, I still don't know of I can be there and watch the man I love marry another women.
Barry's pov
I decided to call on sick to work today, I just spent the rest of my day hanging out with Oliver. Eventually Cisco came in the join us.
"So Barry...have you decided on who your best man is gonna be? You know I know someone who you have known for awhile and you hang out with them everyday. They are amazing" Cisco says to me, I know he is clearly talking about himself
"Cisco do you wanna be my best man?" I ask giving in to his not so clever hinting
"Yes!" He screams
"Okay calm down...Oliver I need a groomsmen. Do you mind?" I ask Oliver next
"You bet. I won't be surprised if Caitlin hasn't already asked Felicity to be her maid of honor"
"Cool. Now that is dealt with. I need to figure out where Caitlin is...we have wedding planning to do. So Oliver how long can star city last without the arrow or its mayor?"
"For like a day. But I promise to say my goodbyes tomorrow" He says
Ring ring ring
I pick up my phone to hear Caitlin voice on the other side.
"Hey. Are you two still at jitters because its been a few hours?"
"No. We are at a bakery near jitters looking a cakes. How about you meet us over here?" Caitlin asks
"Sure. Be over there in a flash" i say before hanging up
"Did you really just make that joke?" Cisco asks
"Yeah. Catch you guys later" I tell them before running out of star labs and over to the bakery
When I get there I walk in to see Caitlin and Felicity sampling a cake.
"Hey beautiful. Have you tasted one you like?" I ask giving her a quick kiss
"Yes. I want this one...it's a marble cake with vanilla frosting. It has chocolate drizzle over it" She says taking a another bite
"Looks good. I want a bite" I tell her, she feeds me a bite of the cake
"Mmm. I love it"
"You two are so cute!" Felicity says gushing over us
"I know right" Caitlin says, just then Felicity gets a text
"Oh. I need to go...Oliver is already at the hotel. We have to go back to the city tomorrow. I will say goodbye tomorrow morning" Felicity says giving us both a quick kiss before heading out
"Well I think this is the cake. But I think we need to go home and figure out a wedding date before we decided a cake"
"Yeah...Let's go" Caitlin says, I grab her hand and we head out
Once were far enough from the store and the people, I pick her up and run her over to the house.
"Barry. Since were getting married. I think it's time we move your stuff in. What do you think?" Caitlin asks
"Well since I practically live here already...I guess I could move my stuff in"
"Great. Now how about we watch some tv?" She suggests
"Ok"
We take a seat on the couch and begin watching some movie. I really can't wait to be married to her.
