I woke up to the smell of eggs and bacon coming from across the room.
"Morning," my mom said, "happy birthday sam!"
"Thanks mom." I said half asleep considering it was 8 o'clock in the morning.
"Your brother and I made you breakfast!"
"Where's dad?"
"He had to go on a business trip. We might be moving, but that's to discuss later." My mom said nervously.
"WHAT?! MOVING?!" I said with great anger, "WE CANT MOVE!! I LOVE NEW YORK!!"
"Honey calm down it's not official yet. It's your birthday, let's celebrate!"
"Fine."
Moving?! Are you kidding?! I wouldn't move away from New York if my life depended on it. What an amazing way to start my birthday.
I decided to eat my breakfast in bed before things could get any worse. Then my dad called.
"Hi sweetie, happy birthday!!" my dad said
"Yeah yeah yeah whatever. Listen dad, im not moving. I don't know what gave you the crazy idea that it would be best for us to move. Because, I won't do it!"
"Samantha Espinosa you will not talk to me like that! It is not official that we are going to move, so I don't need you worrying about it. Daddy has to go into a meeting. I love you! Happy 16th."
"Bye, love you too." I said upset
I can't believe my own dad won't reason with me about this. I can't move. Especially to a place I will probably hate.
