Serena's POV:
After my shopping spree with Bonnie, we went out to see Ash and just like the typical Ash he is, he wasn't there. He probably got interested by another Pokemon. But he came waling slowly , shoulders drooped and totally pensive in thought. What was wrong with him?
"Is something wrong Ash?", I asked him. My voice seemed to startle him in such a way that Pikachu nearly fell off his shoulder.
"Pika Pika", Pikachu said nodding in a non cheery voice with his ears drooped down.
"I saw.....Alain do some stuff with that weird guy who asked me my Greninja" I couldn't see him this way. I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Ashy, Alain is also a strong trainer. You saw his Charizard right?", I asked him not surprised at all.
"He......He was talking about taking over the world or something Serena. There is definitely something wrong. He was also talking about taking Squishy away to join into something called a Zygarde or something"
When Ash said that Alain was going to take Squishy away, Bonnie immediately hugged her pouch close to her chest with a horrified expression.
Seeing her expression, Ash gave her a grin and said,
"Don't worry Bonnie. Nobody can come near Squishy when I'm around "
Bonnie seemed to relax after this and began to play with Dedenne. I just winked at Ash and this caused him to blush. Few months ago, I would have
thought a hundred times before talking to another person but now I could think of a hundred ways to speak with a person. As Clemont put it, I was now more Ash - like.
"I have to talk to Alain, right now. I have to get to the bottom of this matter as soon as possible", he said still not convinced that he might have misunderstood the conversation. I kissed his cheek in an attempt to help him think straight.
"Come on Ash! I don't want you to go depressed like how you were after you lost to Wulfric", I said.
"That time I was disappointed in myself. This time, I'm scared. I have NO idea how severe the situation might be."
The next day
Bonnie's POV:
"Come on guys! Lets do some last minute warm ups. We face our strongest opponent today. We may have lost to Alain before. We lost to Sawyer too. Didn't we win against him? I say that we can do the same against Alain!", Ash told his Pokemon who all roared their names in agreement.
"Hey there Bonnie!", he greeted me grinning.
"You seem to be happier now, Ash. Feeling better than yesterday?", I asked him.
"Maybe Serena was right. Maybe I was overreacting to that. Alain may seem kinda creepy but he won't do stuff like that right?"
"Awww! You listened to me? That's sweet of you", Serena came from nowhere and told him in a kind of a mocking voice to which he pouted.
Suddenly, the clock struck 11 and Ash began to run towards the league stadium. Where did that clock come from? I don't know about that but it looked really cute. Dedenne was sleeping in my pouch again so it was kinda tough for Squishy to make space for himself. With no other go, I carried Dedenne close to my chest so that Squishy will be comfortable and ran after Ash. When hyped,I am sure he can run faster than Pikachu when he is using that Lightning Running Attack . I think its called Bolt Tackle. I don't know. I guess its Volt Tackle otherwise. After this I began to run after Ash.
Ash's POV :
We reached the stadium about half an hour before my finals. Though I have tried to suppress my suspicions, I can't help but think that Alain is doing something bad. Like always, the others went to get the front seats. But Serena stayed with me for a few minutes.
"Are you okay, Ash?", she asked me.
"Just a bit nervous Serena. It'll go after my match begins", I told her giving her a grin.
"Pika Pika!", Pikachu reassured her.
"Okay. I know you'll do your best today. ", she said and hugged me tightly. I returned the hug but the fight was gonna begin soon.
"You should go. The front seats won't wait for you, you know?", I told her in an attempt to irritate her. She just smiled and kissed me lightly, then left to take her seat. Then I went towards my entrance region. Like the last time, the security guard gave me a microphone. I wore it and entered. Alain was there but not with his partial Paul-kind of smirk but with a somewhat worried look.
"The finals of the Kalos league has no different rules. Each side has 6 Pokemon and once 3 Pokemon of a trainer are unable to battle, the stadium will be switched. Am I clear?", the referee asked us. We nodded our heads.
" GOOD! Let the battle.......COMMENCE!"
"Charizard! Let's make Kalos ours!", Alain roared throwing Charizard's Pokeball. Why would he begin with his ace and why did his comment of making Kalos HIS, trouble me?
So I decided to counter with Greninja.
"Greninja! I choose you!", throwing Greninja's Pokeball.
"Charizard, start off with a healthy dose of Flamethrower!"
"Counter that with a Water Shuriken to his mouth to direct the flames away from you. Then use Water Pulse!"
"Charizard dodge it by flying up and use Overheat!"
"Greninja use Double Team and use Water Pulse on Charizard's belly", I ordered. Both Charizard and Greninja were hit by the attacks. By the Double Team, Greninja was able to dodge most of the attack and Water Pulse did little damage to Charizard but took him off balance and forced him to crash - land. Still, as proud as ever, Charizard shot a massive Flamethrower in the air to show his defiance. Greninja was least bothered by it.
"Charizard let's do it! Key stone, respond to my heart. MEGA EVOLVE CHARIZARD!!!"
"Greninja, Stronger.......TOGETHER!"
"Charizard, use Dragon Claw and toss him in the air. Then finish him off with Seismic Toss!!"
"Greninja, make 2 Water Shurikens and on my call , toss them EXACTLY where I tell you", I told him and he nodded his head. Charizard came blazing with his white claw towards Greninja, but he was quick. He had already made the 2 Water Shurikens and held them menacingly. Not now.......steady buddy, I HAD TO DO IT NOW!
"Throw one blade on the edge of Charizard's left wing "
Greninja complied and Charizard veered away in another direction .
"Throw the other one at the same place again. Then when he is close to the ground, use Aerial Ace!"
"Charizard, use Flamethrower on the ground to weaken the impact of your fall and block with Dragon Claw!"
Both the attacks made contact but since Charizard had taken damage his attack was a bit weak. Both of them were panting heavily due to exhaustion.
" I THOUGHT YOUR CHARIZARD WAS STRONG, ALAIN!!", a voice thundered loud enough for the both of us to hear. Then I saw him.......the red haired guy - Lysandre.
Immediately, Greninja took a defensive stance and gave Alain an accusing look. I don't blame him though.
"You said that his Greninja was very strong but you NEVER told me about the enhancements Greninja has, when it undergoes the Bond Phenomenon! And you, boy, I need your Greninja, RIGHT NOW!"
"I kinda sorta knew you'd do something like this Lysandre or should I say leader of TEAM FLARE?!"
,I screamed.
I knew that my mike was very much active so Diantha , Professor Sycamore , Officer Jenny and other security may do something to prevent him from escaping.
"Oh Boo Hoo! Your Greninja NOW boy!"
"But first, CHARIZARD I CHOOSE YOU!!!"
Then came out my alpha Pokemon towering at a staggering 6'8". He gave me a smirk and shot a MASSIVE flamethrower in the sky which was at least of a 5 metre radius after which he growled at Lysandre and puffed his nose for another attack.
"Call in the reinforcements!!", Lysandre yelled.
"Same here, except my reinforcements are coming far quicker than yours."
An ear piercing screech was heard after my mocking comment.
