River POV
Lola and I were on FaceTime talking about random stuff.
" You want to go to the basketball game tonight ". She asked.
" Yeah ". I say smiling.
" Alright I'll meet you there ". She said.
" K ".
I hung up and went downstairs to see my mom and little brother in the kitchen.
" Mom can I go to the basketball game ". I asked sitting next to my brother.
" Yes but you'll be there really early because I have to take Ryan to a birthday party.
" Alright I'll get ready now ". I said with a big smile.
I hurried upstairs and took a shower.

I was done with the shower I looked at my clothes. I put on my high waisted light jean and a black crop top. I left my hair down because it's cute that way. Than I put on some lip gloss.
" COME ON RIVER ". I hear my mom say.
I got my clutch and my phone and other stuff and left.

We pulled up to my school and I looked at my mom.
" Ok be safe ".
" I know mom ". I say.
" Here ". She said handing me 30 dollars.
" Thanks ".
" Call me when it's over ".
" Ok ".
I kissed her cheek and said bye to them and got out. She pulled off and I walked in the entrance where you had to pay for the ticket. When I got my ticket and started to go in the gym. I got in the gym I was really early because they were warming up. I sat on the bleacher on the top.
August POV
We were warming up when we did I saw Rivers walking in. She had on these jeans that fitted her just right.
" Man quit staring ". I heard Que say.
" Nigga shut up.....she look bad ". I say.
" I'm not going to lie she is but she a fucking freshman ".
" So that don't mean shit to me ". I say dribbling the basketball.
" Go talk to her ". Eric say.
" Nah ".
" You scared ".
" I'm never scared ".
I dropped the ball and went over to her. She was looking down on her phone.
" What's up ".
She looked up and smiled.
" Hey ".
" So you solo tonight ". I say.
" No my friend is coming ".
" Oh.....so how's the French going ". I asked.
" Bad it's really hard ". She say smiling.
" Maybe I can help you later ".
" Umm wouldn't it be too late ". She said with a confused look.
" 7:30 ain't late ".
" Umm ok ".
" Alright ".

I turned around and it was my coach.
" I'll talk to you later ". I say with a smile.
I went back to the court and look at my coach.
