Kayla is a shy girl and suffers from depression. Her dad left her and her mother when she was little. He used to beat her and her mother.
She has a YouTube channel with just under 50k subscribers. She started doing after seeing how popular it was to post Minecraft videos and commentate while playing. She slowly discovered other channels who were a lot more popular than she was and she began to fall in love with them even if she'd never meet them.
One day she runs into her all time favourite YouTuber, TheBajanCanadian at Starbucks. He invites her to come over to his house.
There she also meets Jerome and his girlfriend who she is not fond of.
