Days passed and everything
got worse and worse.
My live was crashing down
and there was absolutely nothing
I could do about it anymore.

I protested in every way
possible, every way you can imagine,
but without me they can do it quite properly though. So good, they are searching for my lover, my beloved murderer.

They do not need me, they never did.
I was just a tiny piece in a big game.

With the ring they were
going at a fast pace,
it was absolutely incredible
and insane. They already knew more than ever and it is not even a week ago they took the ring from me.

They followed the tracks,
followed the small answers
leading to the big one.
Leading them to him.

Conversations with them
were never pleasant,
firing their questions away and expecting me to
answer and admit.

The woman I met only
a couple of days ago was
the one who moved at the fastest pace. Karoline knew how to
get her way.

She already said my
so-called-captor is the one who
murdered Elijah and yes,
they are right. But eventhough my mind says Harry should be punished indeed, my heart protests.

And they always say to follow your heart, follow the things it tells
you by beating.

I do not say anything about him being a suspect and saying they are right,
nor do I tell them anything.
But as I said before, it is not needed,
without me they can find him one way or another.

"June, how nice of you to come and see me. I have been waiting for you,"
Karoline says when I enter her all white office. A big room with a lot of windows, letting me see the outside of the building.

I only nod and look at her,
expecting her to take the lead in this dreadfull conversation.

I once tried to ignore them all
and just avoid the sessions we were going to have, but my mother found out and told me she would drive me here and wait for me outside the office.

"We will start slowly,"
she hands me a cup of water,
for which I have asked and I
take a sip.
"How did the captor treat you?"

"Good."
I answer shortly.

She smiles and inches closer with her head, her eyes staring into mine and intimidating me.
"Good. If I ask you to describe him,
how exactly would you do that?"

"Nicer than all of you together."

She chuckles and writes something down on the paper in front of her.
I lean over and try to read what the damn thing says, but it is too small.

"Do you want him to be locked up?"

I stare blankly at her and wait for an reaction to break free. For about a minute she does nothing,
completely nothing and I find myself getting a bit annoyed with her.

"So about the ring then. I assume he gave you the thing."
I look at my nails and nod,
they already know the
answer though.
"He did. Beautiful thing."

She agrees and tells me how they studied the thing and looked around
in the jewelry business,
how it was a limited edition.
"It is a one-piece. Nobody has ever recreated the thing, so it must be something he asked them to made especially for him."

I shrug, not really knowing the answer on the explanation she just told me. Her eyes keep watching me closely and not once do they leave me out of sight.

"I know you fell in love with him,
or at least that is what you think. But okay,"
She is now the one shrugging,
"that is quite alright by me. I know you developed sympathy for him."

"That is what you think,"
I interrupted her in a mocking tone,
"but okay, that is quite alright with me."

Her chuckles enter my ears and I mentally roll with my eyes at her.
I stand up and I see her straightening her posture.

"How pleasant this conversation has been, I must say it is time for me to go now, so have a nice day."
I plan on turning around and leaving this conversation,
when once again she stops me.

"Sit. Down. We are not finished.
I have one thing to say,
we are coming closer and closer
to the answer June. So I hope you prepare yourself to see your kidnapper being locked up.
Maybe today, maybe tomorrow."

She takes her stuff and writes something down.
She looks up and I meet her stare.

"-Oh, and one thing. We are solving the case of Elijah, but I assume you already know the answer to that,
don't you?"

Night comes faster than expected
and just as every night I find myself
being awake and looking out of the window. My eyes staring at the moon and its stars. Shining and lightning the world that holds such cruelty.

I trail a way up my arm with my long
nails and feel the goosebumps
forming on my skin,
when I remember the day Harry saw me at my most vulnerable.

Both half naked we were pressed against eachother and we felt eachother, we touched eachother and made sure to never forgot its feels.

I smile and try to hold on to that memory, before the painful ones with blood and scars make their
way to the surface.

I let out a deep sigh and
see my shadows on the wall.
Moving with my body and my movements.

I smile and this is the way I spend most of the nights, looking out of the window it all started with and thinking about him.

My murderer, my sinner,
my lover.

When the sun comes up and
my eyes begin to close out of pure tiredness, I ignore the lack of sleep and get up. Seeing the schoolbooks on my desk, I ask myself how on earth I will catch up with everything.

A knock on the door interrupts me and after that the door is opened,
to see Lauren standing there.

Her blond hair cut short and
her tan skin shining, looking healthier as ever she smiles at me.

"Hey June, everything alright?"
She slowly enters my room,
it almost looks like she is afraid to scare me and I shiver at the thought.

"Yeah, I am quite alright."
She nods and a silence enters the room, I feel uneasy and I assume she feels the same way. Although I can not quite understand why.

"I came in to let you know
they figured out who kidnapped you and they are getting him."

I gasp out of shock and
fall on my knees. They are fast,
so incredibly fast this news suprises me and I did everything to keep him hidden, but it was no use.

"What? No! How..how did
they find him?"
I sat down on the bed and let my tears fall out, escaping me and my tired body and mind.

"They tracked down the shop where he bought the ring he gave you and the owner of the shop gave all the information what was needed. Your captor had to give his address and further information when he bought the thing. The rest was simple."

It was done, everything I was afraid of, is happening right now and there is nothing I can do about it. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

"Why are you telling me this,
why not one of them?"

"Because they knew you would
listen to me."
She smiled sadly at me and it
did not reach her eyes.

But it did not bother me anymore,
the only thing paining me was the fact they found him. My lover was caught and I did know what was going to happen and I was afraid.

Afraid for him, for myself and for us.
