For the first time in years, I woke up early, and in a good mood. Since my parents were both in their room, sleeping, I thought I would surprise them with breakfast. I got out of bed and realized I was still wearing Nialls clothes. They still had his good smell on them. Stretching, and putting on my slippers, i grabbed my phone and crept over to our small kitchen. Outside I could hear the birds chirping a tune-full song, and the sun was shining brightly for it only be eight in the morning.
I turned to grab three packets of hot chocolate that my mother bought while touring yesterday, in our bag of food. She always insisted on buying food so you didnt have to always go out to eat and get stuck with an expensive bill. Adding the mix with hot water into three different cups, I stirred them each softly. Now what to have for breakfast? Aha. Rummaging through the food bag, I found pancake mix. Yum.
By the time I started to flip the pancakes, my father came out of the room and patted me on the shoulder.
" Your in a good mood." he smiled, overlooking the pancakes.
I just shrugged and kept flipping.
" Where's mom? She's usually up early.."
" She went to sleep with a headache last night. She still has it this morning. No plans today unless it gets better." he went to go sit down at a small table. I didn't want to sound like a complete snob for not caring for my mother, because i did, but this was a good excuse to go to the barbeque today.
I set a plate in front of my father after the pancakes were done and flopped two pancakes on his plate along with a bottle of syrup. Thinking that my mother was probably hungry too, i put two pancakes on a plate for her as well and took it in to her.
"Pancakes?" She asked, sitting up in her bed. I nodded and smiled as i set them down on her lap. She smiled back weakly, her way of saying thank you.
"Well? How are they?" I asked my dad, sitting down and shoving a forkfull into my mouth. He gave me a thumbs up, a mouthfull of food still in his mouth. Mmm, they were good. Good job, Halle.
"What are your plans for today?" My dad asked out of nowhere.
"Oh, well I was invited to a barbeque at my friends house at three." I replied, hoping he didn't ask who my friend was.
He cleared his throat and went to put the plate in the small bilt in sink that was provided by the hotel, and washed it off. I finished my own pancakes and joined him in washing the plates.
"Is this friend a boy?"
"Yeah.." I shrugged.
He gave me one of his dad looks.
"Can't I have a friend that's a boy?" That, afterall, was what Niall and I were considered. I sighed to myself, some how wanting to be more. My dad looked at me again, but without saying anything. I took that as a yes, I can go and hurried off to shower and get changed.
The warm water hit my back, tingling all of my senses. The heat made the glass shower fog up so that I couldn't see out. Taking long in the showr, as usual, i finally got out and dried off. My hair was wrapped in a towel, along with the rest of my body and i walked to my room to get clothes to wear. Picking through the dresser, i found a perfect Victoria's Secret Pink off the shoulder t shirt and a pair of denim shorts. I took my time changing into my bathing suit first, then putting on my clothes. I then blow dried my hair. My phone buzzed.

I couldn't help but smile. He texted me first, meaning that he was thinking about me. running a hand through my hair and thinking about what to reply, i texted;

I hope i didn't sound awkward. I decided on a no make-up day today, i didn't want to lok like a racoon when i went underwater. The clock on the wall read 1:30pm. Still having time, I tought i'de call Kelsey for a chat.
"Halle!" she practically screamed into the phone.
"Kels!" I mocked her tone of voice.
We talked for what seemed forever about stupid things, and the vacation we were going on to the beach when i got home. I found out she was no longer single, but apparently in a very serious relationship since three days ago. Wow, she got over her ex-boyfriend fast. God knows it didn't take me long to get over Tony, but Kelsey was different. She dated around alot, and sometimes she would sleep around. But that was Kelsey, no matter how many boyfriends she went through in a year, everyone still loved her because of her personality. Carefree, outgoing, hilarious, and totally happy all the time. She could be having the worst day of her life and still joke about it. That's why I loved her.
We said good-bye and hung up. There was no more messages fromNiall, so i eft my phone on my bed and went to go get his clothes. His sweatshirt was so soft and comfortable. I put it in a bag along with the rest of his things and shoved my phone in my back pocket, ready to leave.
"Hey, mom?" I peeked my head into her room. She was laying in bed, eyes closed, but i knew she was still awake. She opened themalmost instantly.
"I'll be back a little later, okay?" I asked.
"Be carefull sweetie" she said. "And please call. Don't talk to strangers, and stay with people you know." She vaguely went over her usually long list of rules and safety pre cautions. I gave her a kiss on the forehead and smiled sympethically.
"I'll be safe, I'll be with Niall." She squeezed my hand and then let it go, shutting her eyes once again. I lfet after hugging my dad, ignoring his attempts to find out who my riend was.

"Hey!" Liam said, holding the door for me to walk in. I smiled at him as he gave me a small hug. Their flat was pretty much bare, noone here. He saw me looking around.
"In the backyard." He pointed at the door. I nooded and walked with him outside where four other boys stood around a grill, laughing and shoving one another. Then i saw two girls sitting on the same lawn chairs Niall and I sat on last night. I got a better look. They were both very pretty. One had straight dark brown hair and big eyes. Her complexion was perfect. The other sat in her bathing suit with a phone in her hand. She too had brown hair, but hers was wavy and she wore sunglasses.
"Halle!" I heard an irish accent yell excitedly, as a pair of strong arms hugged me around back.
"Niall!" I said in the same happy tone of voice. He smiled. The rest of the boys turned around. Holy shirtless. All four boys had no tops on. Liam had swimming trunks and a loose polo on.
"HALLE!" Louis screamed, running over and hugging me, more like crushing me. The two girls looked up and smiled.
"Halle, this is my beautiful girlfriend, Danielle." Liam said, sitting down next to the girl with straight brown hair. She smiled widely and waved.
"And this..." Louis let go of me and hugged the other girl lightly around her chest." is my gorgeous girlfriend, Eleanor." Eleanor waved and smiled. Niall was still behind me, watching the introductions.
"And uh, which one here is your girlfriend, Niall?" I asked, looking at Harry and Zayn, and then smirking at Niall. Niall blushed and smiled, then looked at his feet.
"Well.." Niall started but then got tackled to the ground by Harry.
"Back off Halle, Niallers' mine!" He glared at me and then started to laugh at Nialls attemps to get up, but Harry remained sitting on him. Zayne was still at the grill, trying to get hamburgers and hot dogs on.
"I say we swim first, eat last." Zayn turned to say to everyone. He put down a spatula and turned one of the dials on the grille. Everone shrugged and agreed. Danielle and Eleanor talked with me while walking through a door to the indoor pool. It was rather hot in their, but it felt so nice.
"CANNON BALL! COME ON BOYS!" Louis screamed and jumped in, surfacing a couple minutes later, gasping for air. Ealeanor look frightened so she went to the edge to see if he was okay. Danielle left to walk down the steps in the pool. I stod awkwardly, not really wanting to dtrip in front everyone.
"Come on then, love." Nialls nudged me from behind as he jumped in with the rest of the boys jumping after him. I waited another minute or so and finally bent over to tie my hair in a loose bun. I slid off my shorts and took off my shirt, adjusting my bikini. I saw the boys looking. Being who I am, I walked around to the diving board and stepped on.
"Do a flip!" Zayn said.
"No, no..you've got to do a backflip." Harry said. I rolled my eyes. Did they think i was that ammature?
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, blocking out the whispers of everyone. I jumped, holding my breath and going straight into a perfect double forward flip. The water hit me and i opened my mouth on accident. The water rushed into my mouth and nose. I pushed my feet against the ground hard, and struggled to the surface. Coughing and spluttering, i came up. Niall was the first to reach me. He took my hand and held my back, swimming me over to the shallow end of the pool. I saw Eleanor, feet in the pool, shooing Louis oaway to see if I was okay. I was greeted by Harry, Louis, Liam, Danielle, and Zayn. They surrounded me, some patting my back.
"You okay?" Louis asked. I choked a few more times before nodding. Choking in front of the boys, great job Halle. My heart beat was slowing down. I recovered and wiped my mouth from all the water i had choked up. I apologized for making them worry and they started to laugh.
"It wasn't your fault!"
"Are you kidding? That was a great flip."
I smiled at all six people around me. Danielle grabbed my wrist and led me out of the pool.
"Come on, let's take a brake. We can talk." She smiled warmly at me. I wrapped a towel that sat in a nearby hamper and plopped into a chair away from the pool. She sat in another and looked at me. We sat in an akward silence, i didn't know what to say. I focued my attention on the boys. They were playing chicken. Niall on Liams shoulders and Louis on Harrys. Zayn was just wading and yelling out "Go!" every now and then for a new game.
"Niall likes you." My head snapped around to Danielle. She was also watching the boys. Her eyes drifted over to me. I shook my head in dissagreement.
"He does." She stated simply. She laughed when I shook my head agin.
"Liam says he never stops talking about you." I turned back to watch Niall, only to find him looking right back to me. We looked away awkwardly. Harry looked at me and then back to Niall. He shoved Nialls arm and the rest of the boys started to do the same.
"Watcha lookin' at Niall?" Zayn winked.
"Shut up." Niall whispered, looking to see if I heard.
"We're just friends." I shrugged, still looking at him. The words tasted sour in my mouth. I ighed. Danielle noticed.
"He'll come around, Halle. He's nervous."
I hoped so.
