Alicia Whitfield is a 21 year old that works day and night. Her life was going down hill.. But it all got worse when her boyfriend broke up with her and left with another girl..
A few months after the break up, Alicia got fed up with being alone. She talked to her friend Grace, who worked at an orphanage, and she suggested Alicia adopt a child, or a pet.
"A child could occupy you and fill that hole in your heart!!" She smiled.
"I don't know, Grace. I feel like I won't be a good parent..."
"Nonsense!!! You are sweet and you know how to adapt to situations!! Plus you have always been good with kids!!"
"Mmm.."
"Will you at least come see the kids?? Maybe you will click with one!"
".. Fine.."
"YAY!!!!" Grace jumped up and grabbed my hand.
She led me to the childrens area. All of them were enjoying their lives, ignoring her and Grace.
Though one looked at Alicia and gave a sweet flash of a smile that melted her heart.
Grace noticed and gave me a big grin, then went and brought the kid over.
"Oliver, this is my friend Alicia! Alicia this is Oliver!! Our little angel of a child!!"
"Hi.. I am Owiver!" Oliver smiled and waved.
"Nice too meet ya, Oliver! How old are ya?" I smiled.
"I am 5!!"
After about 2 months I decided to adopt Oliver.
When I brought him home he was so excited. We played and ate and did lots of fun stuff together over the years..
And now here we are. Ten years later.. Oliver is now 15 and I am 31..

I got up this morning feeling nervous as always..
I grabbed my clothes, got dressed and ready, then left..
The bus ride was hectic, everyone yelling and cursing so early in the morning... I could hear them even with my headphones on with the music all the way up.
Through out my day people were happy. Well most were anyway..
When I finally got home, I threw my backpack in my room and turned my music all the way up again. I found a note on the counter.

I sighed, she has been working late a lot recently.
After I ate, showered, and did my homework, I watched some youtube until it was around 12 am. I finally decided it was time to sleep and put my phone on the charger, then turned off my light and slept.
