Hazel POV
We are watching tv when I get up and go to the bathroom. My text tone goes off.
You better not get anywhere close to Ian tonight. If I see or find out, you'll see what's coming.
I roll my eyes and put my phone down. I use the bathroom and walk back down the hallway, "Make sure you stay with Lily tomorrow at the fight."
I turn around quickly and see Ian leaning against the wall, "Jesus!! You scared me!! Why?" He lets out a long sigh, "I don't want Megan and her friends to mess with you."
I lean against the wall across from him and smile, "I'll be alright and plus I'm going to the back with Owen and then I'll be up there with y'all." He looks at me with a glint in his eyes, "What's wrong?"
He slides to the floor and runs his fingers through his hair, "Nothing, someone's on my mind right now."
I look down at him, "Ian, do someone you know got hurt because of bullying?" He looks at me with wide eyes, "H-ho, why do you ask?" I shrug my shoulders, "Just the way you act towards it."
He stands up quickly, "D-d-don't ask me that question ever again!!" I look at him with wide eyes and with fear, "Ian! Why won't you tell me?! I'm your friend, you should tell me some things."
He looks down at me, "Some things are better not to be told!" He walks away from me and heads back in the living room, "You want people to open up to you, yet you don't do it yourself." I say to myself as I walk back in the living room.
I look at Ian and he stares at me as I sit down. "What took you so long? Ian went to the bathroom and came back before you." I look at Austin and scoff, "We girls have to sit down, wipe, and struggle to pull our pants up if they are too tight. All you boys have to do is unzip, pee, shake, and zip back up." Lily claps her hands loudly and nods her head, "Amen!! Preach Hazel! That is so true!"
Austin rolls his eyes and I stick my tongue out at him. Ian stands up and grabs a slice a pizza, I look away from him and look back at the tv.
Owen pulls me to the floor beside him, "Ah!! Why did you just do that?!" He shrugs his shoulders, "Because I want you beside me." I roll my eyes and look back at the tv.
Lily stands up and stretch, "Where do we sleep?" Owen looks at Lily and points upstairs, "I have a pullout couch in my room. Me and Hazel can share a bed and two other people can sleep on the pull out bed." Austin holds his hands up and shows us three fingers.
"Where are the other three supposed to sleep at?" Owen looks at Austin, "There's a smaller room across from mine and there are two twin beds and a futon." I stand up and stretch, "I'm tired, I'm going to go ahead and lay down."
Owen looks at me and stands up quickly, "I'm coming with, y'all can stay down here or come along."
"I call the pullout couch!!" Lily shouts, before Shane could even say anything, Mason holds his hand up to stop him. "We already know that you're sleeping with Lily. There's no need for you to yell it out to the world."
We all laugh and Shane glares at Mason, "Owen carry me on your back." I jump on his back and we all start heading upstairs.
I turn to look at Ian and see that his eyes look distant. He looks up and our eyes connect, I turn away quickly and lay my head down.
I know now not to try to get to know Ian. This is his second time lashing out on me.
Mason, Austin, and Ian go to the room across from us. Owen throws me on his bed. I let out a squeal as he jumps on the bed with me.
"Does anyone snore?" We all look at Owen and me and Lily points at Shane. "W-what?! I don't snore! Do I really?!" Me and Lily both nod our heads and he holds his hands up in surrender, "Well my bad. I can't help it, so deal with it."
We all throw a pillow at him and he throws them back, "That was really childish." He gets on the bed and covers himself with the blankets. Lily looks at me and smile, "Night Hazel and Owen. If you're going to do it, please be quiet."
Mine and Owen eyes widen and our mouths drop, "Like hell, they will!! Cupcake you better not and Owen if you try something I'm going to kill you!!" Owen starts laughing and I put my face in my hands, "We're not going to do nothing. Why do you always say that Lily?"
She shrugs her shoulders and smile, "I love y'all reactions." I get under the covers and Owen turns the lights off, "Goodnight everybody. Me and Hazel aren't going to do anything if so we will be going downstairs to the living room."
"Owen!!"
"Hahaha!!"
"I'm going to kill this asshole!!" Me, Lily, and Shane say at the same time. Shane jumps on the bed and hit Owen everywhere.
Lily starts laughing and I get under the covers and close my eyes, "GOODNIGHT!"
Owen and Lily continue to laugh, "I'll deal with you tomorrow, you lucky I'm tired." Shane gets back in bed and mumbles a goodnight.
I let out a relieved sigh after five minutes of quiet. Hopefully, it's not too loud in the morning.
Morning
I am being wakened up by Shane and Lily arguing, "Please tell me the reason." I ask Owen who is sitting up watching the two argue with a lazy look on his face.
Owen looks at me and sigh, "Shane cracked a joke on Lily and she got mad." I look at them both with an annoyed look on my face.
I slide out of bed and walk to the other room. I look around and see everybody sleep, I get on the futon with Austin.
He opens his eyes and mumbles something, "Lily and Shane arguing?" I nod my head and he opens the blanket up so I can get under with him. He goes back to sleep and I just lay there.
All of sudden Mason starts groaning really loud, "Ugh!! What the hell are they arguing about this time?!" Mason gets up and stomps over to Owens room, "SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LET THE REST OF US SLEEP!!!"
Mason comes stomping back, he starts mumbling as he gets back in the bed. I hear Austin laugh and look at him. He stills have his eyes close, "I'm guessing they're done arguing."
A couple hours later
We are all in the kitchen eating, "What time do you fight start, Owen?" Owen looks at Shane, "It starts at seven."
I look at the clock, "It's 2:00 now. What do y'all want to do until then." They all look at me and laugh except for Ian and Shane, "We have to leave now, it takes a while to get there. This is a big fight so it's hosted at a different Underground."
"Meaning we have to leave in like an hour. We have to be there an hour before my fight starts." I look at Owen and groan, "Why is it so far away?" They all laugh and Lily comes to hug me, "I wonder the same thing the last time we had to go there."
"People drive that far to see you and Ian fight?!" Shane asks with a shocked look on his face. Owen nods his head, "Yes because we're the only ones with an undefeated streak pass ten wins."
I look at Owen with shock eyes and then I look at Ian who is looking at his phone.
I let out a long sigh, I hope I didn't affect the way he fights tonight because of our conversation.
Skipping to Fight
We are now at Underground and Shane is jumping up and down with excitement, "Cupcake! This is our first fight!!" I laugh and look around, "I didn't know it would be like this."
Fighters in all different shapes and sizes are here. From small to big and from tall to short. We walk in and follow Owen, "I'm going to get ready, I'll be right back."
"Do you know who you're fighting?" Mason ask while looking around, Owen looks at him and smiles, "No I don't, I fight a little bit differently. I like to know who my opponent is only if I'm in the ring." We all look at Owen with interest in our eyes.
"Ian, do you know who you're fighting?" Ian looks at Shane, "I forgot his name, but he is more on the heavy side with quick hands." He glances at me and looks back at Shane.
Owen comes back out in his attire. "How do I look?" Owen starts posing and Lily starts posing with him. Owen throws his arm over my shoulders, "Follow me so y'all can be in a certain spot when I start fighting."
We follow him and he takes us to his corner. Owen trainer comes up to us, "Let's go, Owen! You need to get in the ring!! He's announcing your name."
The announcer announces Owen name and people start cheering like crazy.
"Woooo!! Owen, you got this!!!" Someone shouts, "I put all my money on you!!" Someone else shouts.
Owen opponent is a twenty-six year old man who is a couple inches taller than Owen. He also has a little bit more muscle than Owen.
The bells ring and the fight begins.
