Ali's pov
"Snow is falling all around us..." Lily, Grace and Emily sing along to the Christmas songs that are blasting through the house
"Merry Saturday" Emily cheers, kissing my cheek
"You three are over the top"
"Just cause you're the Grinch"
"I am not. I love Christmas, I've loved Christmas for like eight years now"
"And I've loved Christmas for thirty" Emily tells me
"I've liked Christmas longer than Lily and Grace. So my point is proven, I'm not the Grinch"
"That's debatable, you made us get a pop up tree. Although I guess I'll keep the tree considering you're drop dead gorgeous"
"Good, cause I don't want a real tree. It'll mess up the house"
"That's exactly what the Grinch would say" Emily chuckles
Lily picks Grace up and they giggle as Grace tries to hold a mistletoe above our heads. We both kneel down slightly until our heads are under the mistletoe and we quickly kiss each other
"Did you know that if someone holds a mistletoe over your head you need to buy them a cat or a dog?"
"Really? I though you kissed the person who's under it with you?" I question, raising my eyebrow
"Nope. It's the twenty-first century, you need to buy them a pet"
"Hold it up again" Emily tells them
They hold the mistletoe above us and this time Emily kisses me more passionately
"Ewwww" we hear Lily and Grace moan after a short time of us kissing
I pull back because I remember that when I was young I always wanted to throw up when I saw my parents kiss, it wasn't until I started dating that I realised how nice it is to see your parents so madly in love, although Emily finds it very difficult to stay away from my lips so Lily and Grace are probably used to us kissing.
Emily's pov
"I love this song" I smile as I sway from side to side
"May I have this dance?" I smirk, bowing to Ali
"Why of course" she replies, curtsying and holding onto my hand
I pull Alison close to me and wrap my arms around her waist
"Oh I get to be the woman" Alison laughs, wrapping her arms around my neck
We begin to sway back and forth lovingly staring into each other's eyes until the chorus comes and we move more freely. I spin Alison around multiple times until she gets dizzy and I have to pull her close to me to prevent her from falling. We sway back and forth again and Alison giggles the whole time, turning red with embarrassment every time I sing along
"I don't know how to dance" Alison laughs
"I used to but after trying to help Hanna win that dance competition I gave up"
"Let's just keep swaying for a while" Ali blushes at me, readjusting her arms around my neck
Another Christmas song begins to play and I belt out all the lyrics singing them to Alison
"All I want for Christmas, is you....ohhh baby. Oh all I want for Christmas is you..." I awfully sing
Alison giggles, let's go of my neck and begins to jump up and down with Lily and Grace. She jumps onto the sofa and sings her heart out
"Would the Grinch do this?" She asks pulling Grace and Lily onto the sofa with her, they bounce on the sofa singing, dancing and throwing tinsel around the living room
They look adorable with tinsel wrapped around their necks like scarves and having fun bouncing on the sofa

Ali's pov
Emily receives a phone call and then hangs up, telling me "I'm going out. I'll be back soon"
"Where are you going?"
"My mom needs my help"
"Can I help?" I ask
"No, I'll be fine"
"You sure? I've not seen Pam in a while so I might come anyway"
"No. I'm going myself" she shouts, running out the house
"Where did Mom go?" Lily asks, climbing off the sofa to stand beside me
"Nana's, she'll be back soon"
Lily sweetly smiles at me before taking my hand and leading me back to the sofa. Lily, Grace and I snuggle up on the sofa and watch Disney movies
Emily's pov
"No. I'm going myself" I say running out the house, looking back to make sure Ali isn't following me
I feel bad for lying to Alison, but if she found out where I'm going I don't think she'd ever forgive me
By the time I arrive at the brew I have multiple miss calls from Alison
"Are you okay Em? You seemed upset when you left or like you were in a rush. Phone me" Ali's voicemail says
"Was that Alison?"
"Ehhh...yeah" I reply to my associate
"Thanks for meeting me" they smile, sitting across from me
Ali's pov
Emily returns home 3 hours after she ran out the door
"Where have you been?"
"I told you I went to my mom's"
"Where did you go?"
"My mom's"
"Emily. I'll give you one last chance to tell me the truth and I know you weren't at your mom's because I phoned her to see why you weren't picking up and she didn't have a clue where you were"
"I was no where. It doesn't matter" Emily sighs, walking towards our bedroom
I grab her arm and pull her back "Emily Where were you?"
She blankly stares at me
"Emily we're not going to sleep until you tell me where you have been"
"I'm going to bed" Emily tells me as she pulls out of my grip
"Emily" I shout after her
"You know what's the point"
"The point in what?" She asks, twisting around to look at me
"I tell you everything and you can't even answer a simple question. Where were you?"
"I'm not telling you"
"I give up"
"Give up on what? Trying to find out where I was?" She shouts
"I give up on everything"
"Ali I need to know what you mean by everything"
"Just shut up Emily. I honestly think you're trying to start an argument. What do you want me to say? That I give up on us?"
"Well have you? Given up on us?" She asks
"Of course not, but it seems like you've given up on being truthful and not keeping secrets from your wife"
Emily storms off to our room and I don't see her again until I go to bed. Neither of us speak to each other after our argument and even the things I normally love about Emily makes me even more annoyed. Her whistle through her nose infuriates me and keeps me awake for most of the night
"I will always love you" I whisper just before I drift off to sleep
Emily's eyes flutter before she groggily whispers "I love you too"
