I blink. Sarah. Why is it that people always pop up at the worst times?
Her eyes are wide and her face is red. I look at Olivia, who's just as shocked as I am. I clear my throat and take a step back. "Um. Well. Hi."
"Hi," she squeaks.
"Hey," Olivia says since I can't say anything. She doesn't seem bothered. At all.
I gulp. "What's up, ma dude?"
She blushes. "I think I should leave...?"
Olivia smiles and grabs me by my waist, pulling me close. "Nah, I think you can stick around. As long as you don't mind a little PDA." She winks at me.
Sarah smiles. "I"m just glad my best friend is happy."
Olivia nods. "Yeah, I'm happy too."
"So...." Sarah trails off. She's wanting to know when this happened. Don't ask me how I know. She's my best friend.
"I just asked her to Homecoming," I tell her, motioning towards the flowers.
Sarah smiles. "Aw! I love you!" She hugs me.
But I'm looking at Liv. And she's looking at me.
She smiles.
And I smile back.
