The day everything became long distance was rough for both of us. We didn't sleep a minute the night before the flight - not because of what you might think but because we were talking about our fears of the future. That talk should've happened way earlier and I'm sure we both realised that although we never said it out loud.
We should've talked about special date nights. We should've talked about the different time zones. We should've talked about visiting.
Yet somehow, in the heat of the moment, everything was forgotten and that night there were too many worries and sorrows clouding our head to really think straight.
The morning he left to go from London to New York it was raining. In fact, it was pourring down from the sky as if us saying goodbye to eachother tore its heart apart. It tore mine apart, that is something I'm sure of. Something I wasn't so sure of was if it tore his apart as well.
That's the thing about long distance relationships, you never know if they'll miss you as much as they say. I think that is where our problems started - with the doubts.
