Chapter 17:
Imogen pursed her lips, ignoring the guilt that gnawed at her as she had spent all yesterday deciding if she was going to tell Scott what happened or not. But, Formal was tomorrow and he had yet to bring it up to her. They hadn't really spoken since a couple of days ago when she had tasered him in the woods. There was this unspoken tension between them.
"Hey, Im."
She blinked in surprise as she closed her locker to look at her boyfriend who was standing there with Jackson who had a nervous look on his face. "Uh, hey." She gave the two a weird look. She was a little confused as to why the two were together when she was sure that they still hated each other.
"I know that I haven't asked you to formal and I really really want to go with you but, I'm not allowed to go because of my grades." Scott told her, feeling embarrassed that he had let his grades get that bad.
"Oh." The guilt grew as she now knew the reason for his lack of mention of the formal around her.
"So, Jackson here asked me if he could take you to the formal since I can't go and I know you want to go." He said, Jackson nodded. Scott had heard his girlfriend telling both Lydia and Allison that he hadn't asked her and he felt horrible that he hadn't asked her. But, Coach had cornered him today and basically told him he couldn't go to the dance.
"I already told you Jackson why I didn't want to go with you." She said lightly reminding the boy next to her boyfriend with a small chiding look. "And anyways, I already have a date." She added in quieter tone.
"You do?" The two asked her, Scott looking a bit hurt that he didn't know and Jackson looked surprised.
"Yeah. I didn't know you weren't allowed to go to formal. I just thought you just didn't want to go." She said, looking apologetic to her boyfriend who felt bad for lying about when coach had forbid him.
"Well, I guess that okay." Scott muttered, clearing his throat and tried to not look jealous. "So, who are you going with?"
"Hey, Imogen." A smaller voice caused them to turn to the taller boy with blue eyes and curly hair. "So, we're still going to the dance together, right?" He didn't want to feel like he was purposely trying to get between the couple. It wasn't like he had a shot with her anyway.
Imogen gave him a friendly smile. "Yeah, Isaac. I'll text you my address, alright?" He nodded, sending the other two boy's a cautious look before walking off.
Scott tried to not feel too jealous especially when the other boy seemed way too nervous to even try anything on his girlfriend. And it wasn't like he wasn't going to be at the formal because he was. Even if she wouldn't see him. He was going to be there.

"Nothing's wrong." Allison assured both girls as they noticed her frowning as they rode the escalator. "I just - I have a lot on my mind."
"You could smile, at least. Ever heard of the saying, Never frown. Someone could be falling in love with your smile?" Lydia said, glancing between both girls.
"I like that phrase. Keep that phrase in mind and don't get mad." Imogen said, and shared an amused glance with Allison who perked up at the reminder of what they had planned.
"Why?" She asked warily, eyeing her two friends.
"You're going to cancel on whatever dumb, roided - up jock you said yes to and you're going to go with somebody else." Allison said, instantly forgetting that she came from a line of werewolf hunters or that Derek Hale was in a basement being tortured by her aunt.
"Because you deserve to go with someone who will actually appreciate you." Imogen added, unable to contain the grin on her face.
Lydia eyed the two with caution. "Who?" She almost looked afraid, she didn't like the looks they were sharing.
The brunettes shared a grin and the they all got off the escalator, both girls pointed to her new date. "Him."
"Remember your saying, Lydia." Imogen said, seeing the frown on her friends face when she saw that it was Stiles. "Someone could be falling in love with your smile."
Lydia pressed her lips into a thin line before letting out hmph and reluctantly made her way past Stiles as she went off in search of the perfect dress. The brunettes shared an amused look before going off in search of a dress of their own.

Imogen eyed the dress on the rack in front of her, unsure of what color or what length she wanted her dress to be. But, since it was a school dance at the end of the day, she decided on a shorter dress. So all she had to do was choose a color.
Lydia and Allison were both already trying out the dresses they had found.
Her eyes fell on the dark blue dress.
"That dress would definitely make your eyes pop."
Turning her head, she looked away from the dress to look at the man standing only a few feet away from her. Her breath caught in her throat, a sudden pit in her stomach at the feeling the man gave her.
"Uh, you really think so?" She asked, trying to not look too uncomfortable even though she could sense something dark about this man. Although there was something about his eyes that sent a sinking feeling in her stomach.
Peter eyed the young girl, finding her very familiar or rather her appearance. This was Imogen Lewis, the girl his young beta was smitten with. He still remembered how she had hurt him in the drive in and he was sure that it had been her back at the school. He hadn't been able to see her but he could feel presence of someone in the hallway. It was obvious that she was still learning and that his beta had no idea what potential his girlfriend had.
It was definitely going to be amusing when Scott found out that his girlfriend was a witch and it would be even more amusing to see how she'd react to finding out that her boyfriend was a werewolf.
He nearly smirked at the thought.
"Of course." He said, putting on his charms. "You have very beautiful blue eyes. Mother's?"
"Uh-no." She shook her head, shifting uncomfortably at his question. She didn't want to be rude but she also didn't know how to get away from him.
"Attention shoppers. To the owner of a blue Mazda, license plate -"
Imogen's brows furrowed at the announcement. "Did she just say a blue Mazda?"
"-5768. Your car is being towed-"
Her eyes widened. "Oh, god. That's Allison's car." She muttered, using this chance to slip away from the creepy stranger as she went off in search of her friend to tell her about her car. She hadn't noticed the bitter look that had passed on Peter's face at the mention of the Argent girl.
Peter let an amused smirk tug at his lips, watching the young witch run off. "I have to say, Scott, I continue to be impressed with your ingenuity." He said quietly, knowing his beta could hear him. "Just remember - You can't be everywhere all the time."

Blue eyes stared in the mirror, eyeing her appearance. Imogen finished putting on the last touches of her make up and was satisfied with her look. She had gotten a navy knee length lace sleeveless dress and it with nude pump heels.
There was a passing feeling of disappointment and guilt that she felt at the idea of going to the Formal with another guy that wasn't Scott. Even though he had assured her that it was fine but it really wasn't. She had nothing against Isaac, he was a nice guy but he wasn't Scott.
He wasn't the boy she was undeniably and irrevocably in love with.
Which was why she needed to tell Scott that she was a witch. She couldn't keep that a secret from him anymore. He deserved to know.
Especially because she wanted him to know just who he was with. That the girlfriend he had was a witch.
▷▷▷▷
"Wow."
She felt her cheeks heat up when she heard Isaac's mumble and wondered if she might have gone a little extra with her appearance. She hadn't put on that much makeup and her dress wasn't that short.
Ben cleared his throat, eyeing the teenager for second before looking at his niece with a more softer look. "I think what he means to say is, that you look beautiful, Imogen." He complimented her.
She smiled. "Thanks." She paused, glancing at them both. "Both of you."
"You're welcome." Isaac said, still looking a bit sheepish about his previous comment. He was still amazed at how he had gotten a date with one of the hottest girls in the school. Even though he knew it wasn't a date since they were just going as friends.
"Hold on. Before you guys leave." Ben held up a camera, giving his niece an amused smile when he saw the pout on her lips. "Come on, just one picture."
"Come on, if we don't do as he asks, he'll force us to take more embarrassing pictures." Imogen muttered over to Isaac who nodded. He stood stiffly beside her and she gave him a mirthful smile, "You don't have to be all stiff." She mused and he hesitantly wrapped one arm around her waist. The two smiled looking at the camera before pulling apart. "Alright, we should get going."
"I'm going to start the car." Isaac muttered, quickly going outside.
Ben couldn't help but chuckle as he watched the teenage boy practically rush out of the house. "He's actually afraid of me. If only your boyfriend was like that." He mused thoughtfully, before looking at his niece who frowned at the mention of Scott. He knew how upset she was that he couldn't go to the dance because of his grades. "Have fun but not too much fun."
She huffed, rolling her eyes playfully at his obvious fake stern tone. "Okay, I'll try not to."
Pressing a quick kiss to his cheek, she muttered a quick goodbye before leaving the house and ready to go to the Formal.
