Natalia.

It didn't take me long to find a witch so I could locate my estranged brother and sister. My father and I were in good standings with other species so favors weren't hard to ask for. She made me promise we wouldn't unleash hell on the world or there would be consenquences but could she blame me?

They murdered my father.

The blood on the map trinkled down to two completely different spots in  the world and there was no way I could get to them without being caught and killed myself. "Can I just get the message sent to them instead?" I asked her and she looked at me reluctantly before nodding. I held out my hand so she could channel me for my power and she took my hand as the flames in all the candles around the room got higher and there was a slight breeze in the room. "Write the message on this paper." She said handing me paper and ink.

How do you tell your two older siblings that their dad was brutally murdered and that we're now orphans.. that we have to be on the run again?

The time has come for Dad and now it's time to go, together. Sierra Mountains. was all I wrote on the paper before giving it to her and she crumpled it in her hand and started to whisper in Latin before holding the paper over the flames in her hand. As the paper turned to ash she blew it on the map and the candles out at the same time.

"You have to go now and they'll receive their messages almost immediately." She said to me before cleaning up all her remainings from the spell. She cleaned in such a hurry. If anyone found out she was helping a hybrid she would be tortured into giving information and killed. "Thank you, Sage. For all your help over the years, you and your mother have been more helpful to my family then you'll ever know." I said to her and she ran over to me and hugged me. Over the years me and Sage pretty much grew up together, we figured out our powers together. She became pretty closed off after her mother died but she never stopped helping me and my father whenever we needed it.

A true friend.

I gave her one last look over before exiting her small house. The weather was thick and humid as I stepped out. Running all the way to the Sierra Mountains would take too long and the switching between packs would definitely get me caught. I had to do things the mundane way and get on a plane. I didn't leave without saying goodbye to  my beloved Father. The man who has never left my side, the only  man I've ever loved besides my brother. No matter what species he was he did not deserve to go like this. I buried him at our home. A beautiful near the border of Romania and Bulgaria, both of my parents home countries. Although it was burned down over fifty years ago, the underground still remained and that's where lay right next to my beautiful mother.

She had a hex put on her for creating an unbalance with magic. She died in all of our arms that day and my siblings haven't trusted the witches since then.

I missed them and I needed them more than anything right now.

The flight from Europe back to America was a good twelve hours. Getting back to American soil was bittersweet, especially since whoever was responsible for my fathers death was in the states. No European pack was big enough, stealth enough or had enough resources to kill a ancient werewolf of Royal Blood.

A King, if you will.

I made arrangements to have a meeting with the Alpha of the Sierra Mountains pack, we needed allies and a territory to stay at and the Sierra Mountain Pack was perfect. Their ex Alpha was my fathers best friend and the only person outside of his family that he ever trusted. Their new Alpha was his son and he's kept the pack on their toes. They were great fighters and hunters.

I compelled myself a car and took the drive to the Mountains, immediately smelling the scent of more than a hundred wolves as soon as I got near the territory border. A big black blur ran across the windshield and instantly knew pack guards were after. I kicked the car in park before jumping out the window and taking stance. I heard the tree crushing under a foot trying to speed towards me through my left ear and I instantly threw out a kick to the left hitting a buff dark haired guy in the ribs. He flew back into the woody area nearby and three more big guards started to stealth towards me as I got ready to fight some more, I glowed my eyes to show I wasn't the one.

They instantly stopped in their tracks when a distant but loud voice screamed "Holt!"

It was an Alpha tone so I knew the Alpha was coming. It felt like a number of eyes had been on me at that moment as he emerged from the woody area. He had a walk like he was king of the world, you could see the confidence in every step. The sunlight glowed off of his tan face and muscles. His green eyes peered into mine and I could sense the intimidation.

"No one touches the hybrid and that's an order." He said before coming over to me and towering over me. He was about six-six and I looked at me with intent. "Natalia Valeriev we've been expecting you." He said as he took my hand and kissed it. Tingles ran up my arm and through my chest and I cocked my head up at him. "Alexander Viktorov. A pleasure." I said shaking hands and keeping my face as straight as possible. This meeting was strictly business and I needed to get things situated before my siblings got here.

The ride to the pack house was quiet and the pack house was even quieter. The meeting room was dark and big and my dad's best friend was there waiting for me. "Chicho Viktor." Chicho means uncle in Bulgarian. He swallowed me into a hug and I didn't feel like some big scary hybrid in his arms, I felt like a little girl again. So little that I was human again, of course with vampire and werewolf qualities but human again. He smelled of old Bulgaria and tears started to swell up in my eyes but I squeezed them away. He reminded me so much of my father and it made this hurt ten times more.

"Any one other than an Alpha and Beta, may exit now." He said and some people left. There were three people left, Alexander, and another female and male. "Natalia you know what you're asking is a big favor." He said gesturing for Alexander to come sit at the desk and he did. I sat in the seat in front of him as he took out a file. "I know but you owed my father a big favor." I said uncrossing my legs this conversation sounded like it was about to go left. "Three hybrids on our territory isn't even a favor, it's an unnecessary target on our backs. It's a dangerous situation." Alexander said opening the file.

"You can't be serious right now." I said gripping the chair. Anger started to run through me and I ended up breaking the handle under my hand. "Natalia. Calm down." Viktor said but I wasn't listening to him. "Both you brother and sister have gone on multiple ripper binges in their lifetimes." Alexander said and Viktor put a hand on his shoulder. "So has your father and probably half of your pack, but they're still here." I said and before I was cut off I stood up. "We're not asking for protection or assistance, I'm asking for shelter while we figure out who's trying to take us out and who killed my father!" I yelled and it came out more like a growl. "I will not be talked to like that in my own pack house. Hybrid or not." Alexander said standing up and staring me in my face.

"Enough." Viktor said and my eyes turned to him. "Your family can stay, but beware the first sign of trouble. You're out." He said and pointed at the male and female behind me. "Meet Drew and Drea. Twin Betas. Drea will escort you to your new home. Drew stay back and talk with us." I gave them all a look before walking out of the room with Drea. She was a petite, blonde and had a mean walk to match her mean face. She clicked the keys button and turned on a black Maserati coupe. As I got in she sped down multiple street and I could tell we were going deep into the pack territory. She sped through the streets so easily in thigh high boots and looked so fit in her all black outfit. "It won't always be that bad." She said cutting through my thoughts. "What?" I questioned not knowing exactly what she was referring to.

"The hostility with Alexander. It won't always be that bad. Dealing with one hybrid won't be easy let alone three." She said and she started to slow down on a dark street. "You're right but with the family history I thought the welcome would be just a little warmer." I said sighing as I looked at the huge house on my right. "Warm enough for you?" Drea said putting the car in park. She handed me a set of house keys and a new cell phone. "All important numbers are already saved in the phone. Including mine, call if you need me." She said and I just nodded before exiting the car. As I walked up the steps and opened the door into my new home a sense of relief overwhelmed me.

Any time hunters were after us, we would constantly be on the run. No breaks. There wasn't even time to breathe half of the time and now we had shelter and a pack that would potentially look out for us.

I toured the house on my own taking comfort in the solitude. The kitchen was amazing and modern, the dining room had such a high and beautiful arced ceiling that my very high standard siblings would love. I walked down the long hallway into a office room that I know my big brother Dimitry would love. A study right across from it that Ekatarina would love. The more I thought about my siblings the more anxious I got. I walked up the grand staircase and found a room that I instantly felt comfortable in. It was so amazing with a balcony attached to it. This house was like a breath of fresh air.

Warmth overwhelmed me as I slid under the covers. I was so tired and at peace that sleep took over me and I was in a deep sleep before that.
