It was a cold night outside. Ruby and I were bored so we decided to go to some place she knew. She led me to a dust shop. The place itself was pretty cool but the name was pretty cringy... 'from Dust till Dawn'. Now, I may be in for a pun from time to time, but this one was just BAD. Still better than Yang's puns though, just need to make sure not to tell her that. I may be fast, but that doesn't mean that I want to deal with an angry Yang. Anyway, Ruby and I had decided that we didn't need any social interaction, so we put our headphones on and went to the back of the shop. There we found multiple magazines on weapons, and while I may not be as 'passionate' about weapons as Ruby, I still can appreciate a good weapon design. Some of them were REALLY cool. Even the music seemed to agree as the beat dropped at a chainsaw that could change into a minigun! I, no both of us got so absorbed in our separate magazines that we didn't realize what was happening (You should really know what happens by now). While I was calmly reading my magazine, I could hear Wolfe's voice in the back of my head.
In head
Wolfe: (y/n)?
(y/n): Good to know that you're still alive...
Wolfe: I can't believe I'm doing this
(y/n): Okay, okay but why'd you call?
Wolfe: I can feel some bad people, and I don't like it.
(y/n): So?
Wolfe: I want you to stay on your guard, because if you die, I die.
(y/n): Anything else?
Wolfe: Yes, maybe try letting me out from time to time, Maybe than I would actually start to like you. You keep me bottled up in here!
(y/n): Highly unlikely, do you remember last time?
Wolfe: Actually I don't, I forgot...
(y/n): REALLY!!! *sigh* Well, we couldn't keep control over our body because we were both fighting over control, and eventually You won and sent Tai flying into a wall.
Wolfe: That wasn't that bad.
(y/n): Rae had to knock us out!!! And you didn't feel the strain on my body, did you?
Wolfe: Of course not, to feel the physical pain I need to be in control. Which I never am!!!
(y/n): Let's just say that getting stabbed didn't seem like a bad at that time...
Wolfe: Hey uhm, when are you going to realize that ruby is fighting a thug while you're just standing here?
(y/n): WHAT?! Why didn't you tell me earlier!!!
Wolfe: You didn't ask!
(y/n): I don't know if you can tell, but I'm giving you a death glare right now...
Back to outside of your head
I quickly turned off the music, and headed towards ruby, who was now fighting some thugs outside of the shop. As I walked through the door I heard some ginger haired guy say something about splitting ways, before flipping his cane's underside up and aiming at ruby. I got in front of ruby and split the bullet/grenade in two by cutting it. This unfortunately didn't get me completely unscathed out of it. While Ruby was fine and was smiling at me, I could feel the strain from catching an explosion to the face. I fell to one knee, and panted for a while.
Ruby: (y/n)!!! Are you okay?!
(y/n): I'll live, just give me a minute.
ruby: *to the shopkeeper* You okay if I go after them?
The shopkeeper merely reacted by giving a quick nod.
(y/n): Don't you dare go after him wit---
Before I finished she had already left.
(y/n): On days like these I really hate not having aura...
As I climbed up the ladder I heard some explosions, which made me worry and increase my speed. Sure it hurt like hell to strain my already hurting body even more, but I couldn't forgive myself if anything were to happen to Ruby. I arrived just in time to see some lady in with a purple skirt and a white blouse and ruby get blasted by some fire from the ground. At that moment my mind went blank, an my blood ran cold.
I looked towards what could have caused this and found some woman flying away in a bullhead. I didn't realize that my left eye had completely turned (fc), and I didn't care. I jumped of the building nearing the height of the bullhead, and spun around with both my swords, whilst activating my aura. This created a huge slash wave. Unfortunately for me, the bullhead managed to dodge it. The slash however seemed to be powerfull enough for the bullhead to be blown out of its course. It recovered and quickly made it's escape. I then realized I was still in the air...
(y/n): AW SHIT!
You fell down the height of a building, which luckily for you had some conveniently placed dumpsters next to it. You nearly passed, with the black crawling all over your vision, until you heard a voice. It was Ruby!
Ruby: (y/n)!
She jumped down to the dumpster next to me and helped me out of it. After I pinched my cheek, I hugged her tightly. I didn't know how to react, and from what I understood, neither did she.
Ruby: Uhm (y/n), why are you hugging me?
(y/n): Because all I saw was you and some blonde lady getting inhaled in flames. Talking about her where is she?
She then cam walking down the alley we were standing in. Ruby recognized her from god knows where, and started freaking out.
Ruby: OH MY GOD!!! You're a huntress! Can I have your autograph???
She then lifted us both up in some purple bubble, which I could only assume was her semblance. She hovered us all the way until we arrived at a dark room, with two chairs, a table and a lamp stationed on said table. Kinda scary, perhaps something is not entirely right?
She started lecturing us about, how dangerous what we was did.
Woman: I hope you realize that both of your actions will not be taken lightly. You two brought yourself and others in great danger.
Ruby: They started it!
(y/n): What she means is that they were in the middle of a crime, robbing a store, and we tried to stop them.
Woman: If it were up to me, you'd be sent home with a pat on the back -
This made ruby smile for a brief second, but I noticed her grabbing her riding crop.
Woman: And a slap on the wrist!
She then tried to slap her riding crop down hard on the table, trying to scare ruby a little. However, me being the idiot I am, had to play hero and caught the damn thing in my hand to take the hit instead of ruby. The woman seemed startled by my action, but continued after a second. Meanwhile you shook your hand around, trying to regain any form of feel in it.
Woman: But, there is someone here who would like to meet you.
Then out of the hallway, a man in a green suit with grey hair walked into the room. In his hand he had a cup with some beverage, and for some reason a plate filled with cookies.
Man: Young man, I'll be coming to you in a moment. Ruby Rose, You ... *dramatic pause* have silver eyes.
ruby: Uhm...?
Man: So, Where did you learn to do this?
Ruby: S-Signal academy.
Man: They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?
ruby: Well, one teacher in particular.
Man: I see...
He then places the plate down. Ruby looks at me first, to which I shove the plate towards here while shaking my head smiling. After a few days I had learned one thing: Do not come between Ruby and her cookies. She started off by gently grabbing one cookie. Then looking up a few times, after which she practically inhaled those cookies. As much as I like to eat sweets, I can't inhale food.
Man: It's just that I've only seen one other scythe wielder of that skill before. A dusty old crow...
Ruby: *muffled* That's my uncle.
Ruby: Sorry, that's my uncle Qrow, he's a teacher at signal.
(y/n): Heh, a dusty old crow. I need to remember that for when I actually meet him.
The woman than glared at me angrily.
(y/n): Sorry to interrupt, it's just a fun thing to call someone. I'll try not to interrupt anymore.
Ruby: I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing, and now I'm all like ---
She then proceeded to do some ninja moves with some home-made sound effects.
Man: So I've noticed. And what is an adorable girls such as yourself doing at a school designed to train warriors?
Ruby: Well, I want to be a huntress.
Man: You want to slay monsters?
Ruby: Yeah, I only have to more years of training left at signal, and then I'm going to apply to Beacon. You see, my sister is starting there this year and she's trying to become a huntress, and I'm trying to become a huntress because I want to help people. My parents always taught us to help others, so I thought I might as well make a career out of it. I mean, the police are alright, but huntsmen and huntresses are just so much more romantic and exciting and cool an just you know!!!
I wanted to say something, but realized that both of them were just staring at her. So I just played smart for once, and kept my mouth shut.
Man: Do you know who I am?
Ruby: You're professor Ozpin, you're the headmaster of beacon.
Ozpin: Hello
Ruby: Nice to meet you.
Ozpin: You want to come to my school?
Ruby: More than anything!
He then gave a small smile towards the woman, who still hasn't introduced herself. She looked away and didn't seem to agree with what Ozpin was about to say.
Ozpin: Well okay!
Ruby looked wide eyed for a second before running out of the room all happy and cheering. This caused a smile to grow on your face.
(y/n): Uhm, miss, could you please keep an eye on her while I'm speaking to Professor Ozpin?
She didn't look all to happy, but Ozpin motioned that she should leave us for a while.
Ozpin: Young man, I don't think I've got your name yet.
(y/n): Oh, I'm sorry about that. My name is (y/n) Wolfe.
Ozpin: Do you know how rare it is that I can't find any data on you.
(y/n): Not really, but I can imagine why you don't have any dat- ah crap...
Ozpin: Why, am I not allowed to know about your mission with miss Rose?
(y/n): Yeah kinda. WAIT WHAT?!?! How do you know about that?! If they find out they're going to, well I don't know what they'd do... But it probably isn't nice.
Ozpin: Calm down for a moment, I know about it because I ordered for someone to protect miss Rose. But I never knew who Tai had chosen.
(y/n): Uhm, what are you saying?
Ozpin: I'm saying that I am the one who ordered you here, and don't worry no one will get to know your secret.
(y/n): Phew... That's a relief.
Ozpin: Now on to the business.
(y/n): What business?
Ozpin: Since it is your mission to protect Ruby, I want to invite you to Beacon as well. I just need to know how old you are.
(y/n): I'm fifth- I mean sixteen years old. I'm sorry, my birthday was just yesterday.
Ozpin: Alright then, hereby you are welcome to Beacon Academy.
(y/n): Don't I need to have gone to some sort of combat school or something?
Ozpin: Tai is overprotective. This means that he has confidence in your skills if he lets you protect his daughter. Besides, I saw what you can do when angered...
(y/n): Uhm... What did I do exactly? I can't seem to really remember after seeing ruby hurt.
Ozpin: Well... *Shows you the footage* You created a shockwave strong enough to make a bullhead change its course.
(y/n): Thank you, will this be all?
Ozpin: Yes, I'll see you again in a few days.
The two of you stood up and shook each other's hands.
