Greetings, my loyal subjects.

As you might've guessed by the title of the chapter, I'm going to talk about Peter, the demon I introduced you to in the last chapter. You see, I've decided to draw pictures of the unique characters Y/N meets on her journey through Hell because I understand it'll be easier to imagine them that way. I will be doing this with important characters only for the sake of whatever's left of my sanity, as there will be many. I will also give you bits of information on them as well— much like I did in Mephistopheles' chapter.

Let us begin, shall we?

————————————————

Human Form:
_______________________________

Name:
Peter is the only name he goes by. Demons don't really have any surnames, unless they make one up for themselves, so that is why I only give a first name for them, and sometimes, they would rather be called by their title rather than name. His title will be shared later on in this chapter.

Hair:
Shaggy, dark brown— nearly black hair swept to the right which covers most of his forehead. Basically, it's the emo cut.

Skin Type:
I'd say fairly tanned. He has a lot of scars on his face: two on his left cheek, one on the right cheek, one on the left side of his chin and a whole bunch on his forehead, which is why he covers it with his hair.

Eyes:
Amber-brown eyes with yellow-orange flecks that give them a fiery look.

Body Type:
•He looks slim at first glance, but he's actually pretty muscular, particularly in the chest and arms.
•He is 5'11 (180.34 cm) in height.
•Like his face, his body is also covered in scars.

Half-Demon Form:

{Honestly, I think this picture looks so ugly. It was my first sketch of him, though, so I figured I'd put it in.}

Skin Type:
His skin is a light grey in demon form.

Eyes:
Like most demons, Peter has black, pupil-consumed eyes while in his demon form.

Body:
Not much about his body changes, except for his teeth. He has a mouth full of sharp teeth, but he has one canine tooth that's longer than the others, causing it to poke out over his lip.

Usual Attire:
•While off duty, he prefers to be dressed in comfortable clothing: sweats, hoodies, sneakers and even slippers. Even on duty, he could sometimes be found wearing comfy clothing. I'll be honest, this man has no sense of style. He just throws anything on.
•When he's working, however, he wears black armor on his torso, along with matching, metal gauntlets with sharp claws. Technically, he has no claws, so he finds these useful. However, he does not wear armor on his legs in case he has to change into his full form, which you will see why in a second.

•Also, he carries a dog whistle with him along with a regular whistle for work. One is for the Hellhounds, while the other is used as a signal.

Full Demon Form:
________________________________

Body:
•Now, Peter's true form is more beast-like than human with a hunched back and massive mane of dark brown— nearly black hair. Though, his torso and arms are still humanlike, aside from the fact that his arms are much longer.
•Though he can stand on his hind legs, it is less comfortable than on all fours while like this
•Two, long twisted and wavy horns protrude from his forehead and are angled back.
•His legs are covered in thick, wiry hair to match his mangled mane and are bent more like an animal's while his feet have short but thick claws with four toes. This is why he wears quickly removable pants, as it wouldn't be comfortable wearing any with those kind of legs. His hands are human, though.

•Behind him is a thin, whiplike tail with a tuft of dark brown fur on the tip
•At the end of his long snout is a gaping hole that acts as his mouth. Inside it are three rings of razor sharp teeth.

•He is absolutely massive in this form, standing at ten feet (304.8cm) on his hind legs

Job/Abilities:
•Peter's duty is to guard the castle from lower-ranking and freeloading demons that live outside the gates. He was found useful with his status as "alpha" a.k.a. controller of Hellhounds, which prowl the castle grounds.
•He has the power to communicate telepathically to any creature, including humans and demons, which is handy, considering he's mute. When he "talks", you don't hear a definitive voice. The words he wants to say just pop into your brain and linger there long enough for a person to recognize what is being said.
•His title is Captain and Keeper of the Gate.
•Peter has highly developed senses, like most demons, and is able to walk up walls in a gravity-defying manner.
•He is considered a lesser demon, meaning he doesn't have as much power as some of the higher-ranking ones, like Mephistopheles. Because of this, if it wasn't for his job, he wouldn't be allowed to live in the castle with the high-ranking demons.

Personality:
•Serious when it involves work— for the most part, anyways. He does have a tendency of making small talk with those who pass through the garden when he's bored or wants to stir up trouble.
•He doesn't care much for looks and doesn't particularly concern himself with coming off scary, which means he's more often found in human form than full form.
•He's a bit cheeky, which is what got him into a bit of trouble in the last chapter. He can't really help it. He likes to push buttons with his snide or suggestive comments.

Thank you so much for reading this far, guys. I hope you're all enjoying the story and are appreciating all the hard work I put into these chapters. There is so much detail that goes into this book in particular, in comparison to some of my other works, so it means lot to hear your comments. I hope to keep you entertained as you continue on.

Until next time, my darlings,

~Golden~
