Carlisle's pov.
As I drive to my house I can't help but keep glancing at Sophie.. she's the most beautiful girl I have ever seen and she's mine. At least I think she is I haven't exactly asked her to be my girlfriend. Woah that sounds weird I haven't had a girlfriend in centuries. I glance at her one last time and see she's looking at me smiling. If I could blush out of embarrassment I'd be as red as a tomato. "Carlisle you do realize my father is the chief of police and if he knew you weren't looking at the road he would probably have you arrested." She tells me giggling. "I am a very good driver but you are right I will keep my eyes on the road.. I don't want your father to put me in jail. That would mean I wouldn't be able to see you." Once again she giggles. "I'd bail you out." She stops mid sentence because I've just pulled up to my house. "Sophie it's okay if you aren't ready to do this-" I'm cut off by her. "I'm ready Carlisle." I smile and get out of the car to open her door and as I do i take her hand as well. We both begin our walk up to the house holding hands.
Sophie's pov.
I can't believe this! I'm holding hands with Carlisle! I'm as happy as a cloud.. what clouds can be happy, maybe,possibly,probably not. I think stupidly to myself. Suddenly Carlisle stops and I realize we are at the front door, my palms become to grow sweaty out of nervousness. Carlisle notices and squeezes my hand trying to reassure me which it does. He opens the door and we step inside. It's nice and warm in their house even though they are vampires that don't require heat. They must have done it for me. I smile as we continue to walk through the house. Carlisle leads me to a set of doors and as he opens them I see a beautiful study full of books. I squeal at the sight. "It's beautiful." I say gasping in awe. "I'm glad you think so." He tells me chuckling. "This is my study.. you can come in here and read whenever you'd like." He says smiling at me. "Thank you." I say in a whisper. "Are you ready to go see everyone?" He asks and I nod my head in return. Here goes nothing. I think as we walk towards the living room.
