Chapter 5
~Rapunzel~
I was beyond flustered. Jack Frost is so cute, ugh, and this whole cute flirting thing.. He's probably like that with everyone, don't be ridiculous Rapunzel. I mean, he's a teenage boy after all..
I had started a job at this cute little flower shop over summer. I love it so much, flowers are so perfect. Beautiful and meaningful. Really, there is nothing better than helping someone pick out a gift for loved ones.
Tying my apron around my waist and neck, I went around watering the plants and putting out new ones.
In between jobs, I wrote down things we'd need for tomorrow night.. I wonder what Jack did when he hung out with people before.. Oh, I hope we're not boring..

Waking up the next morning, I groaned. I rubbed my eyes and desperately tried to make my alarm stop beeping.
Jack had texted me yesterday, and we stayed up til around 3am talking to each other. Oh, I get to see him soon!
I jumped up, Rushing to the bathroom to brush my teeth. What should I wear? How should I do my hair??
Just play it cool, Rapunzel. You cannot have it look like you're trying too hard, I scolded myself.
After digging through my closet for an obnoxious amount of time, I decided on a peach/pink backless sun dress and gladiator sandals.
I looked in the mirror, and ruffled my hair. I suppose I'll leave it down today and natural. I didn't even consider trying any makeup, I still couldn't figure out exactly how that whole thing worked..
I checked my phone on the way out, two messages. One from Merida, who needed a ride again, and Jack? Awwwhh.
I opened it, 'Morning, Corona. You dream about me?;)'. I felt my cheeks get hot. Ugh, such a flirtttt. I have to be cute back..ugh flirting is so hard.
'Does this mean you dreamt of me, Frost?' I texted back. Oh my god, I suck at flirting. I bit my lip, and headed over to Merida's.

Merida and I got to school exactly at 7:30. Half an hour early, perfect time, I smiled.
Merida groaned, "do you always have to be so damn early?"
"Maybe you should get your tire fixed. It's not the hard, ya know." Giggling, I got out and threw my bag over my shoulder. "I look alright, right?" I mumbled to myself.
"Stop mumbling like that, why're you so worried about your outfit?" I jumped, Merida was suddenly right at my side looping her arm with mine.
I looked at her, and pouted. "I dunno, I'm being silly, aren't i? I mean, he could have anyone, Mer. Shit, he could have more than just anyone.. All at the same time! He's not gonna bother just going for me" I stopped rambling and took a deep breath.
"Whoa, Punz. Who're you talking about?" she looked in my eyes curiously, "Is this about that new kid? Rapunzel, he'd be stupid to go for anyone else. Plus, you are being silly. You don't even know him that well yet."
I sighed, and we sat down on a bench out front.
"I know, I know. I'm being crazy, I just.. I don't know. He's cute, and nice, and funny. And I think he has a crush on me too, I mean, we were up all night texting!"
Merida smirked and spoke sarcastically, "texting all night? My god, it's true love!" She stood up on the bench and started shouting, "TRUE LOVE, EVERYONE! JACKUNZEL FOREV-"
"MERIDA!" I squealed, pulling her down by her rasta stripped hoodie, "You're so horrible! Jackunzel?! Really?" I blushed like crazy, looking around. Only a few students lingered, staring at us. My blush deepened.
She laughed, "it just felt right".
"least I'll admit I like him, unlike you with Hiccup" I smirked.
Merida instantly glared at me, "I don't not like Hiccup Haddlock, I can barely stand being around him. Not that it would matter even if I did, he's like head over heels for Astrid."
I rolled my eyes, "you're in denial. Plus, he doesn't even like her anymore."
"Who're we gossiping about?" Merida and I jumped when Hiccup spoke.
My eyes widened, how long had he been there?
"Shit, Haddlock!" Merida wrinkled her nose, "you can't just sneak up on people like that!"
He smiled and looked down, "I'm sorry, did I scare you?"
"Of course not!" Merida snorted. "I don't get scared."
I crossed my ankles. "yeah, right", I teased her.
I looked at my phone, no new messages. I hope Jack doesn't over sleep.. I glanced over to the parking lot, and ended up standing up to see better. What did he drive again?
"Looking for me, Blondie?" Flynn walked up to us, and tugged on the bottom of my dress. "I like this," he smirked, "I'd like it better on my floor-"
"Good morning to you too, Eugene." I swatted his hand away. What a pig. Eugene and I had a small thing last year, went on a few dates, but he kept trying to move way to fast for me. So, I told him we had to be strictly friends and ended it. A+ for persistent tho, I wrinkled my nose.
Hiccup and Merida were bickering, although Hic looked like he was blushing slightly.
"I just mean you look nice, Merida" hiccup mumbled, awwwwhh.
Merida stood up, "I have to go talk to someone. See ya later, Punz.. Hiccup." then she hurried off into the building looking flustered.
Hiccup sighed, "Rapunzel, what's her deal? Is she seeing someone?" He spoke softly, looking at the ground.
I smiled, "No, Hic. I think you make we nervous though, I've never seen anyone but you make her so..idunno." I giggled, "totally knew you liked her though!"
He blushed, "shut up".
"She is pretty hot, brah." Flynn butted in.
Hiccup looked at him weird, and shook his head.
While I giggled at their awkward exchange, I noticed a familiar white haired boy getting out of a car. My heart fluttered.
He even looked great from a distant. His hair was messy, like it had been yesterday. Black jeans, white v-neck, vans, perfection.
He noticed me looking as her got closer, and smirked. "Take a picture, it'll last longer!" He spoke loudly.
I blushed, OH! A picture! I need one for the contact I.D. on my phone!
I took out my phone, and brought up the camera. Just about to get a picture, Jack grabbed my phone.
"I was joking, Corona!" he laughed, going alittle pink in the cheeks.
"No, you're right!" I reached for my phone, but he held it up to high. I pouted, "Jack Frost, I need one!"
Hiccup smiled at us, "Hey, Jack. You're coming tonight, right? We're most likely going to just stay over all night."
I stood on my tippy toes, put on hand on Jacks shoulder to steady myself, and reached.
Jack smirked at me, then looked at Hiccup, "Yeah, sounds like fun. Rapunzels house, right? I'll probably need directions, or a ride."
Flynn looked at us all, "wait, what's happening tonight?" Shit, I didn't want him to know..
I huffed and looked over Jack, where would I put my phone if I were a guy? Back pocket?
I bit my lip, and reached into one of his back pockets. I'm touching his butt, ahhh, I found his phone and quickly pulled away.
Jack turned to me, eyes wide, "did you just.. touch my butt?" Hiccup laughed.
I blushed, "n-no" I wiggled his iPhone in front of him, "least not with the intention of just touching it". I brought up the lock screen, of course. Well, I can still spam him with pictures..
"You don't have to pretend you didn't just wanna grope me" he smirked.
I rolled my eyes, "as if", and open up his camera. I turned it to the front facing camera, crossed my eyes, and took a selfie.
Jack laughed, "alright, alright, here." he took his phone, leaned closer to me, and kissed my cheek? I instantly felt my cheeks get hot.
He smiled and whispered in my ear, "I'll send that one to you". W-wait! H-he took a picture?
Flynn growled quietly, and left but I didn't notice.
I looked at Jack, flustered and not sure what to say. I could still feel his lips on me.
The 5 minutes bell rang, snapping me back to reality.
"We should get going, Rapunzel." Hiccup smirked, "See ya later, Jack!" I'm glad they seem to be getting close, yesterday they were really formal to each other.
Jack smiled, slipping my phone into my bag, and ran his hand down my arm, "Yeah. See ya, Hiccup.. Rapunzel".
"You better send me that picture, Frost" I smiled, and went to first period with Hiccup.

Hic and I have the same English class first period. He kept making faces at me across the room and I tried not to giggle.
Second period, I had visual arts. another class with North. Then third, I had a free period so I just stayed in Norths class til 4th.
I checked my phone. Jack had sent me the picture and comment, 'you look so cute, Rapunzel'.
I smiled, and bit my lip. The picture was cute, but it was definitely because of Jack.. One arm around my shoulder, the way his hair fell into his face, his lips on my cheek.. I felt my cheeks get alittle hot.
The bell for the end of 3rd period rang, and the class headed out. I moved my stuff to the back table.
"North, I'm gonna go get a drink!" I let the teacher know, incase I was late getting back. I knew I won't be though.
Lucky the vending machine with the lemonade I like wasn't occupied. I typed in the code, and felt an arm snake around my waist.
"Hey, Blondie." Eugene grabbed my drink, and pulled me along with him.
I wiggled away, "I planned on drinking that, you know."
He smirked and threw an arm over my shoulders, "doesn't mean you can't share". Ugh, what is his deal today?
"Eugene," I moved his arm off me, "what's up with you today? I thought we agreed that we weren't like this anymore."
He crossed his arms, "I've decided I'm over that." putting his arm back around me, he lead us to class.
"You see, Blondie, I don't like the way you were acting this morning. You're still my girl." I wrinkled my nose, and sat in my seat.
"I'm not 'your girl'." I looked around the room, Jack wasn't here yet.
Eugene grabbed my chin, making me looking at him, "Rapunze-"
"I'm sorry, am I interrupting something?" Jack dropped his bag, and plopped into his seat.
Eugene glared at him, "Ye-"
"No, perfect timing actually" I smiled at him. Such perfect timing. "you mind if I sit over next you? The company over here is being rude." Jack only nodded, i moved over to the other side of the table.
Eugene rolled his eyes, and mumbled to himself.
Class started, and Eugene fell asleep after a few minutes.
Jack turned to me and whispered, "are you and him a thing?"
I looked at him, he looked nervous. Shaking my head, I whispered back, "no, no, no".
Relief washed over his face, "good... I mean, I didn't want to get in between anyone.. You guys seemed to be fighting when I came in."
I looked at my hands, "we use to have a thing, for like 2 weeks, but I learned I didn't really like him anymore than a friend". I bit my lip, Jacks going to start distancing himself now. All because I made a short term mistake with Flynn..
But instead, he smirked and started playing with my hair.
"Your hair looks good down" he flushed slightly, "I mean, it looked good up too".
I smiled and teased him, "You hair looks good down too, but I don't know about it up".
The bell rang, Eugene jumped.
Grabbing my stuff, I looked at Jack. "You ready?", I smiled.
He smirked, "alwayssss".
Out front, we meet up with Merida and Hiccup again. They looked awkward, as usual, but seemed to be talking again after this morning.
"So, what's the plan?" I asked cheerfully. I love having my friends over, it's always such a great time! Plus, now Jack gets to join us! I'm so glad Merida and Hiccup accepted him into the group. Well, Hiccup did. Merida was treating him about the same as she did when I first introduced her and Hic.. I guess that's a good enough sign.

YAY FASTER UPDATE THAN BEFORE(:
I've had a lot of time at home and alone though so I had PLENTY of writing time.
Hope this isn't lame, or boring .-. I feel kinda weird that I'm still only on day 2 of them knowing each other but oh well(: it feels right too so it's just the way it's going to be!
