As the sirens retreat,
And the weapons are down.
Somewhere a mind is clouded
With thoughts,
That just won't let it sleep.
Maybe its one more night
Before the demons are conquered.
Or its just one more night
Before the voices in the head,
Get the better of him.
The skies get darker and darker,
A mind tormented,
With bruises of the past,
And uncertainties of the future,
Hopes to find that one way to home,
Out of a thousand that lead nowhere.
The sun rises and darkness fades
And the sirens are blowing again
And the weapons, ready to kill.
Maybe its one more day,
Where it survives.
Or maybe its the day
When the paranoia kicks in,
And destroys everything
It ever called home.
