"Harry, have you seen this?" Louis asked as he scrolled through instagram, stopping on a video that looked interesting. It was a video of people doing the banana sprite challenge. Harry walked up behind Louis to watch the video.
Harry winced at all the banana colored vomit pouring out of the people's mouths only seconds after they had finished eating the banana's and drinking the sprite.
"Why would anyone want to do that?" Harry asked in disgust, clearly not understanding the point of the challenge. Louis frowned at Harry's reaction. He wanted to try the challenge because it seemed interesting but he knew there was no way he'd be able to get Harry to do it with him.
"You have to try not to throw up after eating two banana's and chugging some sprite. It's impossible I guess," Louis said and Harry still looked confused. Sure, it wasn't a fun challenge in the end but it was a cool experiment to try at least.
"I don't see how that's any fun," Harry said as he backed away from the phone, getting tired of seeing people being sick over and over.
"Maybe it'll be fun if you try it?" Louis suggested and Harry immediately shook his head. There was no way in hell Harry would ever want to voluntarily throw up. It just didn't seem fun to him and no was going to be his final answer no matter what.
"You love banana's though," Louis said and he did have a point. Harry usually ate at least one banana a day so eating two very quickly wouldn't be hard for him at all. Louis could have easily tricked him into doing the challenge by just giving him a can of sprite after he ate his daily banana but that would be an awful thing to do.
"I do love banana's, but only when they actually stay in my stomach," Harry replied and Louis nodded, feeling a little defeated that Harry didn't want to do the challenge with him. He didn't even bother asking Harry at this point so he decided to text Niall.
Niall replied to Louis' text instantly so Louis called him.
"Hey!" Niall said happily on the other end of the line. Louis nervously bit his lip, afraid to even ask the question. It was all seeming incredibly stupid to Louis now but he really wanted to try the challenge and he didn't see the fun in trying it alone.
"I have a question," Louis said, not even responding to Niall's cheery greeting. He felt a little bad but he was too eager to ask the question.
"What is it?" Niall asked, sounding slightly concerned.
"Have you seen the banana sprite challenge?" Louis asked and Harry playfully rolled his eyes at Louis, nearly laughing at the fact that Louis was so desperate to do the challenge he was inviting Niall.
"Yeah, looks absolutely horrid," Niall responded and Louis sighed. That wasn't exactly the response he was looking for.
"Well, would you want to come try it with me?" Louis suggested and Niall laughed on the other end of the line.
"Sure, be there in fifteen," Niall said before hanging up the phone, leaving Louis in complete shock. He wasn't expecting anyone to say yes.
"You're so going to regret this," Harry said like a concerned mother. The challenge was definitely pointless and possibly unhealthy but Louis just wanted to try it once. He still had a flicker of hope that Harry might end up doing the challenge with him but it was fading fast.
"We don't even have sprite, Lou," Harry said and Louis groaned dramatically.
"I'll just tell Niall to bring some," Louis said before going back on his phone and texting Niall the request. Niall quickly responded with a cheery. 'Got it'. Louis didn't understand how Niall always responded so quickly, especially when he was supposed to be driving right now.
Louis was now beginning to feel a little nervous about doing the challenge, but he still wanted to. He wasn't really allowed to back out now after he had already invited Niall over and made it such a big deal.
The fifteen minutes went by quick and Niall was now banging on the door as hard as he could. Niall always made his presence very known when he visited Harry and Louis. It took a lot of energy to hang out with Niall since he was basically the human version of a tall can of Redbull.
Louis unlocked the door and Niall immediately rushed past him, acting as if the house was his own. He set the items on the counter before eagerly turning to Louis and Harry only to see them both stood there by the front door with amused expressions.
"Ready, lads?" Niall asked excitedly and Harry instantly shook his head.
"I'm not doing it," Harry responded quietly, sounding a little embarrassed about it. The more he thought about it the more he realized just how lame he was for not doing it. Niall had come all the way over from his house just to do the challenge and that made Harry want to be brave and change his mind but he just couldn't.
"Why not?" Niall asked loudly, sounding a little concerned. Harry's heart started beating quickly and he could already tell Niall and Louis were going to pressure him into trying it. He really didn't want to do it but he also really didn't want them to see him as a loser.
"Please do it with us, Babe." Louis said as he grabbed Harry's hand, practically begging. Harry shook his head before pulling his hand away from Louis' and crossing his arms dramatically. "There's no way," Harry huffed.
Niall shrugged, "suit yourself." He took the cans of sprite out of his grocery bag.
"I got extra banana's just in case," Niall said as he pulled out a bunch of banana's. Louis cheered before grabbing the banana's from Niall and shaking them in the air, clearly trying to tell Harry something.
"Harry, please!" Louis begged once again as he gestured to the extreme amount of banana's they now had. There was at least twelve of them which was way more than they needed but it was okay, too many banana's never hurt anyone.
"I don't want to," Harry said quietly as he attempted to start walking out of the room, hoping if he just left maybe they'd stop. Louis almost instantly grabbed the younger boy's hand and Harry sighed, feeling stressed out about the situation.
"Lou, please stop," Harry whimpered and Louis' face softened at the words, he looked like he felt bad about it all now and Harry figured that would be the end of his what previously seemed like endless begging.
"Will you at least watch us?" Louis asked as Niall picked up multiple cans of sprite and a couple banana's, heading into the backyard.
"I guess.," Harry responded, unsure if he even wanted to watch. If it was too gross he could just look away but he didn't want to look weak. Harry didn't know why he was feeling so self-conscious about not wanting to do the challenge but it was really messing with him at this point.
Niall and Louis walked into the backyard excitedly, each of them holding a few banana's and two cans of sprite. Harry sluggishly followed behind, definitely not excited for what was about to go down.
"Okay, how do we do it?" Niall asked as he peeled one of his three banana's. He began to eat it as Louis stated the instructions. Niall nodded before peeling his second banana. He was eating them pretty quick and Louis could barely keep up.
Harry had a little time to reconsider his final choice as he watched them eat the banana's and he was definitely swaying towards saying yes. It didn't look so bad, not yet at least. He hadn't seen any sick yet and that could affect his decision so he waited a little while longer.
Niall finished his banana's and began chugging his first can of sprite. Louis was still on his last banana but he already looked like he was somehow struggling.
"Just the banana's are making me feel sick," Louis joked before tossing the peel on the ground and opening his own sprite. Harry watched in amusement as they both chugged their drinks. He didn't know how long it took for the puking to kick in but he figured it wouldn't be too long.
"I feel so full," Niall laughed as he tossed his second can on the ground after finishing it. Louis did the same only moments after and they both waited for the inevitable. Niall was finding it all too amusing. He couldn't stop laughing at how stupid it was and soon his laughs turned to gags.
"This is absolutely disgusting," Niall laughed as he hugged his stomach, bent over slightly. Nothing had happened yet and Niall was pleasantly surprised. Maybe all he would be left with was an upset stomach.
Without warning Louis bent over and puked up a disgustingly yellow stream of sick, it puddled into the grass and Harry winced at the sight, he didn't like this one bit. Louis coughed a few times before groaning, obviously regretting his choice. Niall laughed at the sight before straightening up, feeling totally okay.
"This challenge is ridiculous. I guess only weaklings can't handle it," Niall said as he jokingly nudged Louis who was continuing to puke onto the grass. Louis gave a small laugh before taking a deep breath, hoping it was all over.
Harry was surprised that Niall didn't end up being sick and it made him believe that he could handle the challenge himself. Harry was known to have the weakest stomach out of all the boy's but he still thought that maybe somehow he would be fine.
"I'll do it," Harry said out of nowhere, feeling happy with the surprised look on Louis and Niall's faces. It made it all seem worth it and even if he did throw up it would only be for a second and then it would all be over.
"Go on, Harry!" Niall cheered loudly as he rushed inside the house to grab the extra supplies. While Niall was gone Louis stepped closer to Harry, trying to make sure he really wanted to do it. It didn't make sense why Harry said no so many times earlier only to say yes now.
"Are you sure you want to do it, Love?" Louis asked and Harry nearly rolled his eyes at the words. Louis spent almost the whole morning trying to convince him to do it and now suddenly he didn't want him to. Louis was definitely confusing but it didn't change Harry's decision.
"I'm sure," Harry responded and Louis shrugged, looking a little uneasy about the whole situation. Niall ran back out and handed Harry the two banana's.
Harry peeled them both quickly and ate half at a time. He would definitely call himself a banana eating professional which sound's pretty wrong but he seriously took pride in how fast he could eat a banana.
Niall cheered loudly which only motivated Harry to go faster. Louis stood quietly, no longer liking the idea of Harry doing this. Harry moved onto the sprite and stopped halfway through his first can, placing a hand on his stomach.
"Oh god," Harry groaned as he chugged the other half of the can, nearly gagging at how fast he was going. Niall handed him the second can and Harry chugged it down quicker than he had done with the first one.
Harry looked extremely uncomfortable as he dropped the empty can down on the floor. Louis noticed Harry's hands were shaking and he must have been nervous to do this. Louis felt really bad for pressuring him earlier but he couldn't do anything about it now.
Louis was about to apologize for being so annoying earlier but he was cut off by Harry bending over, hugging his stomach as tightly as he could as puke poured from his mouth. He groaned at how bad his stomach hurt and he knew he wasn't done puking yet.
He hoped it would be over soon because he absolutely hated this. He was shaking like crazy at this point and Louis was beginning to feel a little worried. Niall laughed loudly as he watched Harry continue to be sick on the grass. He clearly wasn't concerned one bit.
"It h-hurts so bad," Harry groaned, no longer caring about coming across as cool for doing the challenge. He just wanted it to stop and maybe expressing his feelings would help a little. Niall looked a little sympathetic at this point but he couldn't hold back his laughter.
"I don't think is normal," Louis said in concern as he stepped closer to Harry, holding his curls back to avoid them getting covered in vomit. Louis used his free hand to gently pat Harry's back, figuring it would help in some way.
"Louis, the challenge is to puke. I'm pretty sure this is normal," Niall said and Louis nodded. He did have a point but Harry was puking way more than Louis did and he didn't understand why. They both had the same amount of bananas and sprite.
"Oh my god," Harry muttered under his breath as he gagged again. He had gotten past the bananas and was now puking up this morning's breakfast. Louis frowned in concern but remembered Niall's comment. This was totally normal.
"Are you alright, Babe?" Louis asked as Harry closed his eyes, breathing heavily over the mess he just made. Harry shook his head, nearly falling over at the movement. He looked incredibly weak and it didn't make any sense.
"Don't be dramatic, Harry," Niall joked, trying to lighten up the situation a little. Harry whimpered before gagging again. It now seemed like he was puking up everything he had ever eaten in his life. He just wasn't stopping.
"L-L-Lou," Harry rushed out shakily. Louis had no idea what was happening but he continued to help as much as he could. Harry coughed and sputtered over the pile, clearly panicking. He retched harshly before bringing up more puke.
It didn't look fun to be Harry at all right now. He was puking more than Louis had ever seen anyone puke before and he didn't like it. He decided after this was all over he would delete his Instagram app so he wouldn't get inspired to do any more stupid challenges like this.
Harry swayed for a moment and Louis grabbed tightly onto the younger boy's arm, trying to steady him. "You're alright, It's okay," Louis whispered soothingly although he wasn't too sure himself if everything was okay.
Niall held back a laugh at the fact that Harry could barely stand at this point. He figured it was just nervous laughter now because this definitely wasn't funny to him. Louis looked up at Niall with fear in his eyes and Niall frowned.
This wasn't at all how Louis expected this challenge to go. He thought it would all be fun and games but he was now extremely thankful that he invited Niall over, just in case anything serious happened.
Harry didn't even seem like he knew what was happening at this point. He gagged harshly once more before feeling incredibly dizzy. He blinked a few times in attempt to make the feeling go away but it didn't.
"L-L-Louis," Harry slurred weakly and Louis grabbed Harry's arm tightly once again after he noticed just how unsteady the boy was. Harry fell limp in Louis' arms and Louis felt his heart speed up to an unhealthy rate.
"Woah, woah, woah," Niall rushed out once he realized what was happening. Louis was using all his strength to keep Harry up but Niall could tell he was struggling.
"N-Niall, help!" Louis shouted, tears beginning to fill his eyes. Niall grabbed Harry's other arm and helped Louis lower him onto the grass. It was silent for a few seconds before Louis spoke again.
"What do we do?" He asked, sounding incredibly panicked as he crouched down beside his husband, gently slapping his face in an attempt to get him to wake up. It wasn't doing anything at all and Louis continued to let the tears fall.
"It's okay, Lou," Niall whispered softly, placing a supportive hand on Louis' shoulder, assuring him that everything was fine. Louis wasn't convinced one bit but he had to admit Niall did calm him down a little.
"Let's just wait a couple minutes," Niall said before sitting down on the grass right next to Harry. Niall was surprisingly calm about all this and Louis figured he was only a little more worried than Niall since it was his husband that just passed out on the grass.
"I feel so bad," Louis said sadly as he grabbed Harry's hand.
Niall didn't respond and the silence was soon interrupted by Harry groaning. Louis felt incredibly happy but all his joy quickly turned back into fear as Harry puked once again, he was laying flat on his back and barely had time to react.
Louis watched helplessly as Harry weakly rolled onto his stomach, using a shaky arm to support himself. His clothes were now covered in puke but he didn't really care about that at this point. He tried to calm himself down as he felt the dizziness set back in but there was nothing he could do to stop it.
"Are you okay, Gorgeous?" Louis asked softly, trying not to cry in front of Harry, knowing it would only cause more panic for the puking boy. Harry gave a weak nod before falling back onto the grass, taking deep breaths.
He didn't have any more strength to keep himself up. Harry buried his head in his hands as he sobbed. Louis didn't know if it was from fear or from the pain but either way he didn't like it at all.
"You're okay, you're okay," Louis whispered, but Harry shook his head.
"Dizzy." The younger whimpered as he removed an arm from his face, using it to find Louis. He felt like the entire world was spinning and he needed something to grab onto. Harry unsuccessfully patted the ground before wincing. He totally just put his hand in his own puke.
He nearly gagged again just at the feeling of it but was too focused on the fact that he felt like he was on a spinning carnival ride. Louis grabbed Harry by the wrist and wiped his hand off on his own jeans.
Louis then grabbed Harry's hand, giving it a small squeeze. He didn't care that there was now puke on his pants. He just wanted to help Harry.
"Niall, go grab some water," Louis suggested and Niall nodded, hopping up to go grab a water bottle from inside the house. He was back within seconds and Louis opened up the bottle, gently helping Harry sit up before offering the water.
Harry took the water shakily, barely able to bring it up to his lips. Louis helped him steady his hands before he took a small sip.
He finally looked like he was going to stay conscious and Louis was thankful.
"No more challenges, please," Harry said weakly and Louis and Niall couldn't help but laugh.
"I promise I won't ever do another challenge again," Louis responded and Niall nodded in agreement.

This is so bad and It's nearly two days late I'm so sorry about that ): I just wrote all of this in half an hour, trying to get something up before it got too late. and just as I was about to publish it I deleted the entire first half of the story. I was busy all day yesterday and most of today but I really don't want to let anyone down so I wrote this very quickly. I might rewrite it later since It's pretty awful but for now I'll leave this with you guys. Its my fifth update on this account and I'm still so happy to be here! Niallisababe2010 I'm so sorry!
