"What do you think, oppa? Is it better in English or should I translate it?" Jennie asked. She showed Mino the lyrics she wrote for the song she's composing.
"It's the rap part, it's fine. And it shows consistency on your songs since your last song As if it's your last has an English rap. And raps sound cooler with English lyrics." Mino explained.
"I see. You're really an expert in this." Jennie praised Mino.
"Mic check 1,2. It's from Be I right?" Mino asked.
"Uh, yeah." Jennie looked away.
"So I guess this is for B.I? Still like him?"
"Yeah. It's not that easy to get over someone that you really love, you know." Jennie said, feeling sad again.
"Why did you let go of him when you still love him?" Mino asked.
"I don't know." Jennie looked outside the cafe.
She suddenly remembered the first time she met Kim Hanbin.
Flashback---
"Hi, you're Jennie right?" A guy who's probably an inch taller than Jennie talked to her. Jennie immediately noticed the mole of the guy. He's with another guy who's way taller than him.
"Uh, yeah." Jennie answered.
"It's sad to eat alone. Is it okay if we join you?" The other guy asked. He's wearing glasses and his eyes are really squinted.
"Uh, yeah, sure. But only today, the other trainees might think of me as a flirty girl." Jennie answered.
Jennie had some "friends" on her first week, but after the monthly assessment (which wasn't really monthly because they do it twice a month for new trainees), Gdragon immediately noticed her, and the other girls hated her for that. Jennie is not yet on a team or group, she's still a stand alone trainee.
"They wouldn't. We also talked to them the first time they joined here. But don't get us wrong. We're not flirting, we just wanna make the new trainees feel comfortable." The smaller guy said.
"Why do you have two plates?" Jennie asked when she realized that the taller guy carries two meals.
"What's wrong with eating two? Just kidding. This is for Hanbin. Our leader." The taller guy said.
"Oh, I see. We haven't said our names until now."
"You're right. Shall I go ahead first?" The smaller guy asked.
"Sure, go ahead."
"I'm Kim Jinhwan, 94 liner." The smaller guy with a heart shaped mole introduced himself and stretched out his hand. Jennie took it.
"I'm Kim Jiwon, just call me Bobby. I'm a rapper and a 95 liner." The other guy said. Jennie shook hands with him too.
"I'm Jennie Kim. I'm a rapper and a vocalist, but I really wanna be a rapper. I'm a 96 liner and I don't have any group yet." Jennie introduced herself.
"Annyeonghaseyo." Another guy came to their table.
"Oh, finally, our leader, Kim Hanbin." Bobby said and patted the lower back of the guy in front of them.
"I'm not their leader." Hanbin said.
"Annyeonghaseyo, I'm Jennie Kim. 96 liner." Jennie introduced herself. She was about to stretch her hand to Hanbin but Hanbin bowed and greeted her.
"Annyeonghaseyo. I'm Kim Hanbin. A 96 liner too." Hanbin introduced himself. His lips were slightly pale you can see with one look only that he's a leader type, he's obviously been working day and night.
Hanbin smiled and his dimples popped out.
Jennie's heartbeat went wild that moment. Gradually, she started admiring Kim Hanbin until she slowly fell in love with him.

"Jennie?" Mino waved his hand in front Jennie's face, making Jennie return to the real world.
"I'm so sorry, I dazed off." Jennie apologized.
"It's fine. I said that I have to leave now, is it okay?" Mino asked.
"Oh, yeah. Thank you for today." Jennie stood up and bowed at him. They greeted each other goodbyes and Mino left already.
Jennie sat down, looked at her coffee.
I miss him.

Jennie stayed in the studio for the whole day. She finished the lyrics and now she's working with the bgm and sfx.
"Aish. This sounds so ugly!" Jennie said and wrote new chords while singing.
"The notes are too high. It doesn't suit the song." A voice behind her suddenly said. Jennie almost fell from her seat.
"You scared me!" Jennie shouted while holding her chest.
"I'm sorry. I was on my way home but I saw the lights on so I thought maybe I can help." Hanbin said.
"I can do this alone." Jennie said.
"But you can do it with me too." Hanbin insisted and walked a few steps towards Jennie.
"But I wanna do it alone! I need to get used to a life without you." Jennie said. There was a short silence. Hanbin bit his lip and brushed his hair up.
"I'm sorry, but it won't happen. Yeah, we broke up. But that doesn't mean that I'll leave you. We're a family here in YG. We can't be avoiding each other. We might be guesting on the same shows, and we can't be awkward. So right now, let's fix our problem." Hanbin said.
Yeah right, family. We're just mere sisters and brothers here on YG. Just like Bobby's song for Jisoo, Tendae. Jennie thought.
"Why do you have to say something so long? First of all, we're not awkward and we're not avoiding each other, at least for my point of view. And second, what do you mean problem? We're on good terms, right? We both agreed on our break up. And lastly, I hope that this is the last time that we'll talk about our break up. Stop rubbing to my face that I had a failed relationship." Jennie said and flipped the lyrics so that Hanbin won't see it.
I didn't even agreed to our break up! I didn't say a word. But I guess you're right. We both broke up, what's the point on fighting over this? Hanbin thought.
"I understand. Do you want me to help, or not?" Hanbin asked for the last time.
"No. I can do this alone." Jennie said without looking at Hanbin.
"I understand." Hanbin sighed. "Here. It's the only food I have in my bag, but please eat it. And go home before midnight. I'm caring for you as a friend, araseo? I'll go now." Hanbin gave her Pringles and left.
As Hanbin left, Jennie felt a huge part of her leave too. She felt weak.
It was like a Deja Vu on what happened a few days before they broke up. But the difference is, Hanbin was the one who pushed Jennie away.

"ARGH!" Jennie screamed as she crumpled a paper and threw it.
Jennie started crying.
It still fucking hurts.

"I'm so sorry. My voice is not good right now." Hayi apologized. She's featured in Blackpink's new song, the one that Jennie wrote.
"It's okay. You need to rest now. Let's finish the recording here. Good job, everyone." Jennie said and they started packing up.
"Finished recording?"
"Yeah." Jennie heard Hayi's conversation.
"Let's go now?"
"Yeah."
Jennie looked at Hayi. She wished she didn't.
She saw Hayi and Hanbin's back, with Hanbin's hand wrapped around Hayi's waist.
Of course. It's been 5 months. They're two weeks dating now.
Wake up Jennie, you're the only one left dreaming. He's already on a new beginning, so why the heck are you stuck on the past? Jennie thought to herself.
