Coran readies pods for Pidge, Shiro, Keith, and I as Lance and Hunk blast off in the blue lion in the direction of the yellow lions coordinates.
Allura had mentioned to us before that we only had two hours to find the lions. We'll be traveling through wormholes that will only last for two hours, and I'd rather not be trapped on the other side of a wormhole.
Pidge and I exchange a high five before heading into our respective pods. Keith took the controls and soon we were shot off into space and a wormhole.
Once on the other side, a planet was in front of us. He gently lands us down and we both get out in silence.
'Wow this is super awkward...he hasn't spoken a single word...'I think to myself as I follow after Keith who's looking down at a map.
We walk a while in silence before I felt a strange tingle in my heart.
"Ow." I quietly say while stopping and placing my hand on my chest.
Keith notices me stop and approaches me.
"What's wrong?" Keith questions as I search around finding the feeling stronger in the direction of a meadow to the left of us.
Without a word I quickly start in that direction. The tingling got stronger as I grew closer. Once I was at the center of the meadow, I knew the lion was here.
"(Y/N)? What are you doing?" Keith asks from behind me.
"I can feel it." I respond while clutching my clothing at my chest and searching around the meadow.
In a small bunch of grass was a small deer type of animal. It was tangled in some vines and seemed absolutely terrified.
I look back to Keith who hasn't noticed it and I begin walking towards it. Ever so slowly I approach it and pause whenever it would become afraid.
Once I made it to the creature I slowly held my hand out for it to smell. It took a sniff and began to calm down as I placed my hand on its head.
I untangle the poor baby, and when it's free, it feebly stands. In the woods behind it was its mother, who sat patiently for her child's return. I smile at it and it lets out....a bark?
I stare at it confused as Keith begins to walk up behind me. The creature notices and they both sprint off into the forest.
"What was that?" Keith asks and I shake my head while still looking after them, not knowing how to answer.
Below us, the ground began to rumble and shake until straight down the middle of the meadow ran a huge crack which began to open upwards on each side.
Keith grabs ahold of me by my midsection and carries me into a tree to the side of the meadow.
"Ah Keith!" I yell as I grip onto him tighter.
"What?" He asks as I shut my eyes and shake my head.
"It's nothing nevermi-" I halt my speech as I notice what was beneath the meadow.
The white lion sat, completely untouched, underneath the meadow in some kind of underground safe.
Like the blue lion, it had a force field around it, yet it was a pale white color. It was smaller than the blue lion by quite a bit, but still seemed so powerful.
Keith helps me down from the tree and we slowly approach the white lion.
"Well?" Keith asks with his arms crossed.
I look up to the lions eyes and notice what Lance was talking about before. It's eyes were following me.
I approach the force field and place my hand on it.
"Hi there....um my name's (Y/N). I'd um....like to be your paladin...?" I say and Keith stares at me funny as I shrug my shoulders to him not knowing what else to do.
The force field then dissipates and the white lion lowers its head to me.
"That actually worked?" Keith asks dumbfounded and I release a small giggle.
"Seems so." I say while excitedly entering the lion.
The cockpit was identical to Lance's except everything was white where his was blue. I take a seat in the chair, which was extremely comfortable, and the console begins to glow and the two handles appear.
I grab ahold of them and the lion jumps up into a standing position. I look down at Keith and smile to myself.
I push the handles forward sending the lions head towards Keith. I open the lion's mouth and now Keith was sitting within the lion's jaws.
I hear a door open behind me and turn around finding a grumpy Keith with messy hair standing behind me.
"Really?" He asks and I smile.
"Sorry about that." I say with a giggle as I push the controls forwards sending the lion into the air.
I return Keith to the pod and we both fly back through the wormhole, and to the castle where everyone had already returned back to.
"Hey (Y/N)!" Pidge excitedly calls out to me as I step out of the white lion.
As I turn around I see everyone walking towards us. Keith gets out of the pod, and his hair was still a mess. Lance froze.
"OH MY GOD! Look at mullet head!" Lance yells whilst laughing so hard he began to cry.
I look at Keith sympathetically as he tries to fix his hair.
'It's my fault. I shouldn't have done that to him...' I think to myself as I turn towards Lance with an angry expression.
"Shut up Lance! He only looks like that because of me! It's my fault, so don't make fun of him!" I yell which catches everyone's attention.
All eyes were on me as my face goes red with embarrassment. I quickly run behind the white lions legs and cover my face with my hands.
"Wow Lance. You angered the shy one." I hear Pidge say and everyone begins laughing.
I can feel something warm though and I look up at the lion. It feels as though it's saying for me to cheer up even though it feels the same way I do.
'Thanks.' I say to it in my head and slowly appear from the side of the lions leg.
"So everyone got their lions?" Shiro asks and I look around noticing the green, yellow, and blue lion off to the side of my own.
"Yup. But you would not believe the trouble we had to go through to get this guys lion. There were ships shooting at us. I almost puked. I felt like Hunk." Lance exclaimed as he regained his normal composure.
"Think about I how felt! I AM Hunk." Hunk mutters while holding his belly.
"Yeah....we had a tough time too." Pidge says with a smirk towards Shiro who smiles back.
"What about you guys?" Lance asks Keith and I and we look to each other and shrug.
"Nothing happened really....I helped an alien thing." I answer and Pidge's eyes lit up.
"You did?! Well what else would I expect from the good old mom friend." Pidge says with a smirk and I blush and everyone turns towards me in question.
"It was a nickname..." I explain as I quietly return to my position behind the white lions leg.
Everyone begins to laugh again until Allura and Coran come from the castle gates.
"Good news Keith! We discovered the red lions location and it's close by! But the bad new is.... It's on a Galra ship. But good new again! It's right above us!" Coran exclaims and we all tense up at his news.
