I couldn’t help but smile at his words. How could I still be mad at him after that? That was unimaginable. That was the most breathtaking kiss of my life. It took everything I had not to kiss him again. Once I had caught my breath and trusted myself to speak, I said, “I guess I can forgive you.”

He smiled, showing me his pearl white teeth. That smile of his made my heart melt. I had forgotten that I was covered in mud currently and so was Jace. This boy was already changing me, and I didn’t like it. How did he have this affect on me? Sure, I know the mate bond was pulling Jace and I closer, but doesn’t it seem wrong that two people only fall for each other because of a bond?

Jace got to his feet, mud dripping off of him. He helped me to my feet and we started to walk back to the house in silence. What were we supposed to say after that amazing first kiss? I felt myself want to be as close to Jace as possible. I reached over and took his muddy hand in mine. He seemed surprised by the sudden touch and looked down at our hands, smiling. Sparks flew as our hands remained together.

Hand in hand, we finally approached the house. Just as we were about to go inside, the front door flew open with Alia standing in the doorway. Her arms were crossed but a smirk was on her face.

“You aren’t dragging mud through the house. I may not be strict, but I’m not cleaning up the house of mud.” She protested.

“Alia, come on. What are we supposed to do then?” Jace asked, an annoyed look on his face from his sister.

“There’s a hose around back.” She smirked.

“I’m the Alpha of this pack. You can’t kick me out of my house.” Jace said in his intimidating Alpha voice.

She gave him a humorless laugh and said, “And I’m the Alpha’s sister who hates when he uses the Alpha excuse for everything. Find another way to clean yourself off.” She said smiling as she slammed the door in his face, locking it. It took everything I had to hold back the laughter in my throat. But sadly, I couldn’t contain myself. I busted out laughing, so much that tears filled my eyes. God, I loved Alia so much. The look on Jace’s face when the door was slammed in his face was just priceless.

“I’m sorry but that was hilarious.” I breathed as Jace glared at me.

His eyes softened when he saw me sitting on the porch step laughing until it hurt. The way Alia stood up to him was just amazing and I wished I had a sibling that I could argue with and have the relationship that Alia and Jace have. He sighed and grabbed me by the hand and led me to the backyard. He opened the wooden gate and I stood in awe as I walked in.

The yard was several acres of land which considered of the largest swimming pool ever, an amazing play set, which I wondered why they had since there weren’t many kids around, a trampoline, a huge greenhouse, and a golden deck with a fire pit next to it. This was like something I could have dreamed about as I kid. Okay, I’ll be honest I was excited about everything in the yard except the play set, which I would have loved to have as a kid.

“Why is there a play set?” I asked.

“Well this was my parent’s house when they were Alpha and Luna. Alia and I used to play on it as kids. Plus, if anyone from our pack comes over and has kids, they seem to enjoy playing on it.” Jace answered.

“Luna?” I asked, confused on yet another werewolf term.

“It’s the Alpha’s mate, she is called Luna. I must have forgotten to tell you that when I explained everything. A Luna helps the Alpha run the pack and together, they are strong and united. You are the Luna of our pack, the Forest Moon Pack.” He said confidently, smiling at me in the process.

We walked passed the huge swimming pool which had a slide and driving board. Jace had said the hose was over by the deck and we could rinse off there. The mud was starting to dry on my skin and the humid air wasn’t really helping. Just as I walked back the pool, I let out a scream. Before I knew it, I was engulfed by warm water. I looked around to see that I was in the middle of the swimming pool, and Jace was standing on the edge of the pool, laughing his butt off.

I scowled at him as I crossed my arms. I angrily made my way up the stairs of the pool and over to him. He was going to pay for that and I knew the perfect way to do that. I put my face in my hands and acted like I was crying, I even had a few tears run down my cheeks, even though I was faking it.

“Oh God, I’m so sorry, Iz.” He said, pulling me into a tight embrace.

This was just too easy. I smiled and pushed him into the pool since he was off guard. The look on his face was hilarious, I exploded with laughter now. Jace’s hair dripped in his face as he glared at me. He couldn’t be mad at me for long though because his lips turned into a smile.

“You’re going to pay for that.” He smirked evilly.

Oh crap. He started to get out of the pool and I took off running threw the yard. I heard Jace’s footsteps getting closer and closer. I ran through the bright green grass, loving as the trees around me gave some type of shade. My body was dripping of water, making my clothes stick to me, or should I saw Jace’s clothes. I really needed some of Alia’s clothes. Before I knew it, I was tackled to the ground, with Jace hovering over me, which that stupid, amused smirk on his face.

“You’ve been a bad wolf.” He laughed, clearly knowing I was still getting used to the idea of actually being a werewolf.

I let out a scream when he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. I started to pound on his back, trying to make him let me go. I wasn’t sure what he was going to do but I wanted him to put me down. Jace laughed at my attempt to make him put me down. He was such a jerk right now.

“Jace, put me down.” I screamed.

“No can do, Love.” He said, and even though I couldn’t see his face, I knew he was smirking.

He had a certain path he was walking and I knew what he was going to do. I tried with all my strength to fight him but he didn’t even budge. We were headed towards the pool again. I swear if he throws me in again, I will beat him up.

“Jace, don’t you dare.” I threatened, but he clearly didn’t listen to me.

Then before I knew it, I was in the pool once again, with Jace’s arms wrapped around my waist, holding me close. I punched him in the arm and yelled at him for throwing me in the pool once again. The warm pool water felt good as it washed away the mud and cooled me down from the hot air.

“I guess we’re going swimming.” Jace laughed.

“You suck, you know that?” I asked, frowning, cleaning my face off with the water. I watched as the water around us turn brown.

“We’re getting washed off though.” He smirked, swimming over to the steps of the pool. I followed behind him and together we sat on the steps next to one another.

“What about all the mud in the pool?” I asked, looking at the murky pool water.

“I’ll have someone clean it out, just like I could have for the house, but Alia is just being Alia and didn’t want us in the house.” He smiled.

Jace must have not liked that I wasn’t touching him because he randomly yanked me and placed me onto his lap. I let out a yelp and my arms involuntarily found their way to Jace’s neck. His arms wrapped around my waist and I couldn’t help but smile at the sparks I was feeling as we touched. It felt like fireworks were exploding around us. It was truly magical. I stared into Jace’s big, brown eyes and saw pure love in them. Could he already love me after knowing me for only two days, not even two days?

I knew I was feeling something towards him, but I wasn’t sure if I’d call it love or not. It was just complicated. I shouldn’t feel this way about him so quickly, it’s just not normal. Matthew was somewhere trying to find me and here I was kissing an Alpha and not worrying about the problem I’m facing. What if Matthew knew I let my guard down and used that as an advantage? I frowned, thinking about Matthew and the thought of him hunting me down.

            “What’s wrong, Love?” Jace cooed.

“It’s nothing, I’m just thinking about Matthew.” I whispered, not wanting to ruin the moment, but I also didn’t want to lie to him.

“I promise you that I will protect you. You have nothing to worry about.” He whispered in my ear, sending shivers up my spine.

I nodded, not fully believing him but I wasn’t going to tell him that. After we were all washed off, we got out of the pool, all shriveled up from the water. The pool looked like a sewer and I would hate to have to clean it. We went in the house threw the backdoor and when Alia saw us, still dripping wet, she shook her head and muttered words like, “unbelievable” and “asshole.” I gave her a soft, apologetic smile, which she gladly returned but when Jace smiled at her, she just glared.

We walked up to our room. Wait, did I just say our room? My eyes widened at the fact that I already was changing. I can’t believe I just said that. I was seriously going crazy by this guy. Once we were in the room, Jace told me I could shower first. I walked into the bathroom, grateful to finally get cleaned. Let’s just say I had mud in places where I shouldn’t have had mud. Literally, my whole body had been covered in the remnants of mud that wasn’t fully washed away by the pool.

I washed every inch of my body with the fresh smelling soap. And I washed my hair at least three times before feeling successful on cleaning my hair. After a half and hour of cleaning myself, I exited the shower, letting the cool air hit my skin, causing me to shiver. I sighed loudly, realizing I didn’t have any clothes with me.

I closed my eyes but then opened them. I opened the bathroom door, my towel wrapped tightly around me. Jace was lying down on the bed, playing with his phone. Once he saw me, he sat up, his eyes roaming my body. I suddenly felt self conscious about how I looked. God, this was awkward.

“Um, I need clothes.” I muttered, knowing he heard me.

“Why? I like the whole towel look.” Jace smirked as he got to his feet and started to walk over to me.

I rolled my eyes, ignoring his perverted comment. See, this is why I didn’t want to ask for clothes, because of this situation. I tightened my towel, definitely not wanting it to fall. I gave Jace a serious look, telling him I wasn’t messing around and really wanted some clothes.

“Alright, calm down.” He said, walking out of the room and I hoped he was going to get clothes from Alia.

Minutes later, he came back holding clothes which were actually girl clothes. I gave him a smile and went to grab the clothes but he yanked them out of my reach. I scowled at him and gave him a questioning look.

“If you want them, I need something in return.” He smirked as he pointed to his lips and made kissy noises.

I sigh and leaned over and kissed him on the cheek, knowing perfectly well that he wanted me to kiss him on the lips. I managed to quickly grab the clothes from his hand and run to the bathroom door, laughing as I did.

“You’re going to pay for that, Love.” Jace said calmly, which worried me.

I ignored him, and put on the clothes he gave me. It consisted of black skinny jeans and a purple tank top. Thank God, for normal clothes. I brushed out my hair and threw it up in a ponytail. I smiled at my cleaned reflection in the mirror and exited the bathroom. Jace was on the bed again, getting his side of the bed wet and dirty.

“I’m going to have someone wash them.” He said, noticing me staring at the bed. He stood up and walked over to the bathroom so he could take a shower now.

“You’re welcome to join me if you want.” Jace smirked.

“Um, I’ll pass on that since I just took one. Sorry.” I laughed.

“Suit yourself.” He said, shutting the bathroom door and turning on the shower.

I stood in the room, wondering what I could do until Jace got out of the shower. I decided that I would go and bond with Alia or Zack.  I left the room and decided to go find someone to bond with. It was only about one o’clock in the afternoon and I was starting to get hungry. Before I could bond with anyone, I needed food.
