Asfand was restless " i did a mistake why i left her alone " he drives straight to the hospital ,
He ran through the corridor and reached the private room he opens the door and rush in "Zubiya " he called her as he finds the bed empty he knocked at the washroom door it opened ,He ran out and look around he heard someone running, he at once ran in the direction he tries to caught the guy but the person push him hard Asfand fall back on floor the guy ran away, Asfand felt he heard someone from other side, he immediately got up and started running towards other side it was a dark path there was no light he tries to see but failed , he could feel her ,he heard Zubiya calling him "kon hai wahan ?" he asked and waited for few second he felt a silent cried , "Zubiya where are you?" he was dam sure she was there " Zubiya" he walked ahead he collide with something ,he sat and tried to find on floor he lighten his mobile found Zubiya lying in pool of blood her clothes were tore"Zubiya " he cupped her face in his shivering hands ,she gave him a weak smile her eyes has pain and sorrow "kuch nahi hoga tum ko" he said to her this time she didn't responded to him her body was numb and cold
Asfand open his eyes find himself sweating "Allah" he held his head "what the hell was that ?"he sat and check the time " 2 mein so kaise gaya " he dialed Gaithi number ,she didn't attended his call he panics he jump out of bed and dialed Zubiya number "Pick up the phone " he restless started walking in his room
"Hello" she said in sleepy voice he relax and sat on bed "Hello"she said again he didn't speak she look at the number " Asfand" she murmur in hesitation " sojao" he said and ended the call without waiting " Kya hogaya hai unko? khud uthaya ab bol raha hain sojao" she look at her mobile "Gaithi is right , he do look rigid and arrogant person but he is not , woh tou caring hai " she bites her lips as she recollected last night incident , " subha kyun naraz tha " she rub her chin and asked herself, a nurse was sitting in corner of CCU, she quietly step out of bed wrapped her duppata around herself she slowly seek out of there " mein bore hogai hoon bilkul " she walked to the back said of garden
At home
Asfand walked out of his room after freshen up " Aap yahan " he in shocked asked Gaiti as she was sitting helping Saim in eating his lunch
" Mama na call kai thi Saim tang kar raha tha " she said
" why you didn't woke me up " he said in annoying tone he opened the refrigerate
"Kya chaiya tum ko , lunch ready hai " she said , he didn't replied she saw him breaking eggs in a bowl
"Asfi what are you doing?" his mom came and asked him
"bus sandwiches bana raha hoon " he added spices both in shock look at each other
" are you going somewhere ?" his mother asked , he look at them
"hospital se call aai thi meeting hai " he without looking at them said
"Tum iss tarah jaao ga " they both asked him as the saw him picking up his cars keys
" Yes" he causally said and walked out
"Yeh Asfi ko kya hogaya hai ?" Mrs Usman asked Gaiti she hides her smile and raised her shoulder " mama hogai uss kai koi special meeting " she said
" Asfi never went to hospital in his trackers " she murmur
While driving he received Gaiti call
" I am sorry Asfi i left her all alone there" she said seriously as he picked up
he didn't said anything" mama and papa are worried for you " she paused " they have lost Daniyal still they have't cop up with their loss, for them it is not easy to absorb last night incident" she paused she remain silent for sometime
" i know Bhabi " he said tried to hide his emotions
" you better take care of yourself and her "she teased him " waise aise nahi hosakta woh hamara guest room mein shift hojai she will be not alone and i can take care of her " she said
"Our house" he repeated
" i know it is too early ,you can later bring her officially" she giggle and cut the call he look at the mobile and smirk , he parked the car in parking and shakes his head and step out he felt he saw her in the garden
" woh nahi hai mein bhi na" he shakes his head and walked in he find everyone looking at him ,he shakes his head walked to CCU he opens the curtains he finds pillows covered with blanket her lunch tray was untouched
"Where is Dr Zubiya ?" he asked the nurse on duty
"Sir woh so rahi thi" she said
" aap ka room se patient ghaib hai aur aap apna mobile mein busy hai " he asked her
"Sir Dr Zubiya " she tried to say something
"she is right now a patient , it was your duty to check " he said and walked out "She was in garden " he walked out there was no one there " i am sure she has seen me coming " he look around he heard kids giggling behind the bushes
"Shhh" he heard her he wraps his arm around him and stand "come out" he stares in the direction two kids walk out
"Aur koi nahi hai yahan" they said cutely
"Acha " he smiled sat on the bench
" aap dono yahan kya kar raha hain " he asked them find them looking back time and again
" hide and seek khel raha tha " one said
"DR Zubiya aap khud nikla gai ka mein aa kar pakro aap ko " he hide his smile said huskily she crawl out he could not hide his smile as she stands in front of him like an innocent child her hairs were open and messed up she was trying to cover her head with her duppata
" aap yahan kya kar rahi hain ?" he asked her while mesmerizing her
" dekha mein bore hogai hoon roof kai lights count kar ka " she said " aap please muhje ko discharge karda "she said to him without looking at him
"Why" he asked she look at him
"Thek hai mein Dr Sheroze ko bolo gai" she said in irritating manner
"you are my patient " he stands in front of her she noticed he was in his trackers ,he look at himself
"any problem " he asked her she shakes her head in embarrassment as she was still staring him
" koi problem hai aap ko" he asked her she started looking here and there ,she felt bit dizzy she held her head ,He held her from her shoulder and made her sit on bench"sit here "she look up towards him
" i am fine bus woh aise zara Se "she said
"Lunch nahi kya hai aap na yeh tou hona hai, do you have any idea how much blood drain out of your body last night? " he angrily said without waiting he walked towards his car " mein bhi kuch la kar nahi aaiya " he grab the sandwiches box and walked back find her sitting in same position ," have this ?"he passed her " Have you seen your face in mirror " he asked her she was busy munching sandwich , he could not stop mesmerizing her , " can you walk? " he asks she nodded
"I don't want to go back in there, I was feeling suffocated in there, the lady on my right side was crying in pain , I was feeling sick "she murmur
"let me shift you to the room" he said
"Please discharge karda ,so I can rest in hostel "She requested
"Who will look after you there ? "He asked
"Who is taking care over here i was alone " She said
"Alone" he repeated his intense gaze made her realized she has done mistake " woh mera matlab tha " she said in a low tone
" Dr Asfand aap yahan, aap kai tou night duty hai " Dr Haroon asked him while walking close to them
" Dr Zubiya aap bhi yahan, aur yeh aap akela akela sandwich kha rahi hain " he asked her he tried to take
"Yeh mera hai, dost bolta hai aur aik daaf bhi aa kar pocha nahi zinda hoon ya maar gai" she at once closed the box and said
"waise aap yahan kya kar rahi hain at the back of hospital, everyone is searching for you inside" he asked her
"Tell him Dr Zubiya ?" Asfand said in teasing manner ,she didn't look at him
" Dr Asfand ka daar se tou nurse na apna facebook account bhi dis activate kardiya hai " he said
" mein abhi hasna ka mood mein nahi hoon Dr Haroon " she said in irritating tone and stands Asfand unintentionally took a step close to her
"Dr Haroon shift her in room from CCU " he asked while looking at her she was taking small steps
"Okay Sir" he noticed Asfand was one step behind her " i will go and making arrangement" he walked ahead
" mein chali jao gai " she said she felt his hand on her back
" I know, you are independent strong woman, you don't need anyone's help" he took box from her hand as they reach to the corner he step a side ,she lean and look at him "Go" he gave her box and walked ahead
"ab unko kya hogaya " she slowly walked towards the entrance ,she find him standing talking to Dr Sheroze
" i understand what you are trying to say Afand ? she is missing her family , we all are her colleague, and everyone of us is having hectic schedule " he said
"Hostel is not save for her " he added while looking at her
" What you want to say ?" he asked him
"Nothing " he turn other side as she greeted Dr Sheroze she passed them and walked towards her room
"Yeh dekha Dr Zubiya aap ka VVIP room "Dr Haroon welcomed her
" aap muhje se baat na kara " she sat on bed
" aara bhi mein na call karna ka soch tha , phir iss liya nahi kai ka kahin aap so na rahi hoon " he said
She give him sarcastic smile
" patients aap ka wait kar raha hain please jai " she said in irritatingly he made sad face and walked out
" what is wrong with me ? mein itna ghusa kyun kar rahi hoon " she tries to tie her hairs with one hand , she heard someone walking in
" please yeh hair clip laga da " she without looking back said , the person who walked in took clip from her hand and very carefully tried to fix it , as his finger brushed her nape she tried to turn
" dont move aik minutes " he closed it she in surprised look at him he tuck back curls of her hairs behind her ear that was disturbing her , he walked towards the window " from here you can see the valley" he said " i think now you better take your medicine and sleep " he walked back towards her
" aap jaa raha hain " it was slip of tongue she look away
" i am here till morning not going anywhere , now taken your medicine " he added while passing her medicines
Gaiti and Mrs Usman walked in room Asfand and Zubiya both in shock look at each other
" Tum kahan chali gai thi " Gaithi asked her
"Mein tou garden mein thi " she murmur as Gaithi hug her
" what you guys are doing here ?" Asfand asked them
"Hospital se call aai thi ka Zubiya is missing "Gaithi told him
" why you didn't call me to ask?" he asked her
"Check karo apna aur Zubiya ka phone mein na countless time call kai hai" she asked him
Mrs Usman walked ahead " kaise tabiyat hai beta aap kai " she asked and caress her face
"Jee thek hoon" she murmur , she lean forward and kissed her forehead , Zubiya with teary eyes look at her "Kya huwa bacha " she wipe her tears as it run down her eyes "Asfi did you scold her ?" Gaithi and Mrs Usman both asked him ,he was standing stun he shakes his head
" agar mama hoti tou woh bhi aati aap kai tarah " she murmur and burst into tears Mrs Usman embrace her" bus beta" she gently caress her back ,she cried bitterly , all the tears that she was holding for long run down her eyes , Asfand became restless he walked towards the other side of room " Zubiya you are so brave "Gaiti said hiding her tears
" mein nahi hoon brave "she whispered while hiding herself in Mrs Usman warm embrace her words echo in room Asfand glance at them , hurriedly walked out of the room as her tears hurt him deep inside
