Well.... I'm genuinely upset right now. This chapter I made took me a LONG TIME and as an idiot as I am, I decided to revise my work on my computer. Little did I know, my cat jumped on the table and played "touch all the buttons on the keyboard while she's away" game. Now it's deleted... and Wattpad saves... and I don't feel like rewriting my beautiful masterpiece 😤 So here's just a summary:
Matt goes back to time at the incident. Pudge listens with Shiro & momma Pidge.
Matt explains that Pidge's father dies. Matt says he survived cause of father sacrifice. It started when Father and Matt lost connection to the ship. Lost on planet. Floating. Both hung together. When they got close, both low on oxygen. Father gave Matt his extra oxygen tank and pushes Matt away closer to ship. Matt cries, floating to ship. Father dies, lack of oxygen. Matt makes it back to ship. Matt struggles to find way back to Earth, that's why it's taking nearly a year. Space program didn't want to spend money finding the missing guys so thats why they called them "dead" so early into the investigation.
