Finally updated this one!!
Since I'm all set and already have a few chapters readywith the other story that I'm working "If You're Back in my Arms Again" (feel free to check it out) I decided to finally work on this one.

I made some major changes with the prologue of the story. Thanks to @raincoloredpetals it had just came to my attention that it was exactly like the same fic from ArchiveOfOurOwn, there parts were like ripped out form it and it's just plainly embarrassing. Goodness, it looks as if I had plagarized the idea and that's a BIG NO NO. Which is why I finally did my own research this time and found a lot of interesting facts that can be used for omegaverse.
But I've been having a hard time doing all these research because we still don't have internet connection at our house and I'm starting to go crazy without internet so for the peace of my soul I'm staying at my brothers place

It had started on their very First day in U.A.
As Izuku stood over the door, he trembled a bit knowing almost all of his classmates are Alphas, though he heard there are also few omega's in the class but usually people will still hide the fact that they are an omega.
Since it's not strange for omega's going through hero course to be mated/bonded with an Alpha during their first year since a pro-hero omega is at the same time viewed as a priceless treasure, that all Alpha's would desire. Kind of like a trophy.
Izuku took a subtle whiff before opening the door, determining the mix of scents. He smelt lots of Alphas and Betas in this class, but very few omegas... that itself makes him really scared and anxious wishing that there should be more omega's in his class but that would be asking for too much, after all what did he expect from the hero course?
So far everybody smelt calm and friendly... Well except for that one familiar scent filled with aggression and dominance.
He looked around and gulped seeing Kachhan, an alpha, in the same class while both his legs on top of his table arguing with glasses guy from the entrance, an alpha as well. When Bakugou noticed him, everyone stared at him.
He got nervous, his face like that of a puppy that saw a larger dog, but then Iida talked friendly with him which made him feel a bit at ease. Uraraka, a really nice girl with smile like the sun who saved him from getting tripped back at the entrance exam and even wanted to give some of her points to him, is going to be a classmate that it made him feels a bit secured because she's an omega as well.
He still felt a bit jittery and nervous despite making new friends and it didn't help that he's sitting behind Bakugou who was seething with angry pheromones making his omega whimper in submission. He couldn't help but release distressed pheromones. Izuku was just hoping that the blockers are working properly in masking his scent, because he sure does don't want to cause another incident.
During that time there was suddenly a certain familiar scent that filled the room that had somehow made him feel eased and comforted. He looked up and watched the entire class and it seemed as if no one noticed it or was it just his imagination.
Even though he should be focusing on learning as much as he can in order to surpass Endeavor, the moment the room was filled with an omega's distressed pheromones he couldn't help but be affected heavily. Looking around the entire class from the back where he was seated, no one seemed to be really affected by it as much as he was.
He didn't know why but instinctively he released his own calming pheromones hoping that whoever that distressed omega was, it would start calming down. He tilted his head up a little and took a sniff in the air around him and the scent was longer there and he couldn't stop the twitching of the side of his lips knowing that the omega with such a wonderful heavenly scent had been calmed by him.
Why Izuku calmed down with a stranger's Alpha pheromone and why Shoto did that. The both didn't understand completely but on that very moment, the two had immediately known by instinct that their fated mate was close by but they couldn't make out a connection nor could they tell who was it. They shrugged it off thinking that it was due to the new surroundings and people around them.
And if their fated mate was really there they should be able to tell with one glance, right? After all they always say that fated mates would recognize each other with just one look.
The faint scent of familiarity had never disappeared even as weeks and month passes by, but neither boys ever bother to find from whom it came from nor did they even try to sought for each other. The two of them are way too focus on achieving their respective goals to even think of it, ignoring the pleas of their inner alpha and omega to for them to just find each other.
Izuku wouldn't deny his attraction towards Todoroki Shoto, because who wouldn't be? Born from a prestigious family of Heroes, son of the current No. 2 hero, born with an amazing quirk and very handsome as well and a pure-bred Alpha as well. For all he knows Todoroki Shoto was the most desired Alpha in the first years and even with his cold attitude towards the other a lot of his friends and acquaintance in U.A., may it be omega or beta are swoon over him.
But Izuku always thought that there's something much more about his attraction to him and there's been something that urges him that he wanted to know more about that hetero-chromatic boy other than all the superficial facts about him. And that was the same for Shoto himself.
He wouldn't admit it. Shoto is definitely attracted to the freckled male, even though he's a beta. He couldn't help but admire him for his diligence and hard work. Though he can't control it, to him, Midoriya Izuku had the most powerful quirk out of everyone in Class 1-A and he couldn't help but constantly think that if he had better control of his quirk he'd immediately surpass him without any troubles at all.
Though it was just supposed to be observing for potential rivals, he found himself staring at Midoriya more frequently. He found it so endearing how someone can be so jumpy and nervous like him. And for some reason, whenever he sees Midoriya smiling happily or distressed he had this feelings of wanting to protect him.
Even despite all these obvious attraction and signs, they still kept away from each other, thinking that it would be best not to be involve. Even more so with the villain's attack that happened in USJ.
But it slowly started to change during the sports festival. Because he had been watching him, from day one, Todoroki had immediately noticed All Might's attachment to Midoriya. Though they were all his students and treated everyone equally as much as he could, he always kept an eye on him during hero training and outside of class they've been having lunch together at the teachers' lounge.
Because of that, Todoroki thought that he was a perfect rival, thinking that he may be All Might's secret love child, he had to best him and prove to his bastard of a father that he can be a hero without using his hateful left side.
The very first time that they've really spoken to each other in the waiting room with their classmate. Wherein Shoto declared his challenge towards Midoriya. The both felt a gush of excitement that they thought must be because they will be facing a foe that they knew who was more powerful than them but at the same time it pulls them towards each other in ways that they couldn't understand.
Izuku was a bit skeptic and afraid when Todoroki had told him to come with him somewhere far from the others after the Cavalry Battle because he had something he wanted to talk about. Being surrounded by a lot of Alpha that he could trust in their class, Izuku had slightly gotten a little better on dealing with Alphas but the same couldn't be said about being alone with one. Still, something about Todoroki made him felt safe and protected and trusted him unconditionally.
Shoto didn't know why he wanted to talk to Midoriya after declaring his challenge like that, maybe it was because he unconsciously made him use his left side. Nor he could comprehend why he wore his heart out on his sleeve in that moment and told him his entire childhood, his entire life to him.
But as much as he couldn't understand himself he couldn't understand what goes on Midoriya's head either. Even though Midoriya needed to win as well and wanted the number 1 spot. Midoriya gave it all up for him, whether he did that because he wanted to provoke him or he wanted to save him after Shoto had told Midoriya everything. He doesn't know but what he did definitely saved him from the hatred and revenge that was consuming him.
All the different things muddled in his brain made him confuse and uncertain that even though he was in the middle of the battle against Bakugou for the top spot, and he can only space out and slowly think about sorting out his feelings one by one. He snapped out when he heard him call out to him, despite the roaring sound of cheers around them his voice sounded crystal clear but in the end, he decided not to use his left side, not like this when he was unsure and confused.
After meeting with his mother for so long, slowly he figured out what he wanted to do. About his quirk, his power, why he wanted to be a hero, his life and most of all about Midoriya Izuku.
He was stopped for a moment when he realized he thought of him. Why?
Recently he found himself staring more often at Midoriya than he did before and most of the time he also found himself thinking about him no matter what he does. Though he didn't have the courage to approach him like how classmates would approach each other he wanted to be close to him and yes, he was finding himself very attracted to him.
Shoto tried to recall everything from day one on how he had taken note on Midoriya and he suddenly blushed from his seat in the class making the whole room slightly warmer, earning few complaints from everyone but nobody noticed it was because of him as they were talking about the list of their internship offers, hyped up about their choices and he knew that he should make his choice as well.
Despite all of that one thing still clouds his mind. The idea of fated mate or even taking on a mate MUST BE AND SHOULD BE put aside while training in U.A. Or better yet he never really thought of mating and bonding with someone at all. But all this time... he wasn't sure when it all started but....
Could it be that he was seeing Midoriya as a potential mate regardless even if he was a beta?
For the first time in forever Shoto had thought about his fated mate again. During the hard times it was that faint connection that he felt that kept him together. Surely it was the same for that person too, he wouldn't want to be selfish to go ahead and make a bond leaving that person all alone.
Yes, he wanted Midoriya but will he be willing to risk that special connection he had with his fate for a beta? It's not a simple choice that he could make on his own nor would he want to risk it, so for now he wanted to find his true mate and probably clarify his feelings first.
But he made his decision sooner than he had anticipated
Finally calming down from the adrenaline high from Stain incident. It was Shoto's last night that he had to spend in the hospital and he found himself wide awake in the dead of the night, lying sideways in his bed as he watched Midoriya sleeping peacefully in the bed across of him.
At that very same time, Midoriya was unable to sleep as well, not when a pair of grey-blue eyes was staring at him so passionately almost as if a hawk eyeing on its prey.
Except for Iida and Uraraka, everyone believed that he was a beta. Not that he was lying to them but he never really bothered correcting them either because it's the best if not a lot of people knew about that fact. But with Todoroki staring at him like that he wondered if he had somehow figured it out.
He wanted to call out Todoroki's attention but the pheromones he's giving out was too much and he wouldn't want to risk him finding out about him. Of all people Todoroki was the only one that Izuku didn't want to know that he was an omega.
He was afraid that he'll find out that his inner omega had been longing for him. At first it was just purely out of admiration for him, being the top student and having such an amazing quirk and all but the longer it passes and the more they get closer to each other, there was no denying it. He found himself wanting the Alpha before him, he wanted Todoroki to claim him.
How he'd want to sniff him up so close and enjoy the euphoria of his scent in the most inappropriate way. He's never really gotten to close proximity with Todoroki. The closest he's ever been with him was during battles and he's too busy to even have the time to think about it in those moment but Izuku could tell how his scent was very strong and alluring and it's definitely making his omega instinct swoon to him.
Especially with the way Todoroki is looking at him. Though he couldn't see him he knew that he was looking at him with almost hungry eyes and his pheromones was just screaming of want smothering his omega side to reciprocate it. It was a good think that he took his medicines before heading for bed.
Izuku didn't like this side of him, where he was not in control of his instinct of wanting to be submissive before an Alpha and losing all control of his body but in the end, he had no way to fight it off and all he could do was take heavy heat suppressants and use scent blockers. It wasn't really good for his healt, not at all in fact but he'd rather bear with it than cause another trouble.
Shoto knew that watching Midoriya sleep was really creepy and rude to Midoriya but he couldn't help it. He had to stop himself almost the fifth time from sniffing him and scenting him, putting a mark that he was his. He's never one to let his instinct move him after all but this time it's really taking all of his will power.
He knew that his alpha already considers him as his potential mate but does this explain why he's smelling a faint sweetness that was exuding for him. For one he knew that this kind of scent definitely does not belong to a beta. But why does such sweet pheromone come from him? Could it be that he was an omega all along?
He shook his head shrugging the thought off. He had every reason to believe that Midoriya is a beta. First and foremost, not until recently he didn't smell like anything close to omega, at all. But if he's using scent masking products that would explain a lot.
Second, he never had his heat absence and they're already half-way through the semester that everyone had already figured out who are the omega's in their class at this point. Unless he's intaking a very high dose of heat suppressants then Shoto couldn't help but worry about his wellbeing.
Third, he shouldn't forget about the fact that he could be as aggressive as some alpha when it comes to battle's (since omegas tend to be submissive there are time when they are the first to fall back in front of an oppressive alpha).
Fourth, an omega with such destructive quirk was unheard of. Normally quirks of an omega are usually suitable for support and defensive purposes. Taking example of Kirishima's quirk, in the past hardening was a way to protect one's body but some people was just innovative enough and found different ways to use it for combat purposes.
But with Midoriya's quirk it was just purely raw power that it ends up being destructive and harmful even to himself as well.
Todoroki spent the entire night contemplating about whether Midoriya was a Omega or a Beta. But one thing was for sure, it doesn't matter which one he was he had already made up his mind.
To hell with his fated mate. His Alpha is literally screaming to him that it wanted Midoriya and he'd be crazy to let go of him. Beta or Omega, Fated Mate or not, he'd want to be bonded with him.

Okay, most of you would probably say that I kind of just recapped the entire series until Stain Arc, but I like dense and slow development of characters feelings for each other and I'm a real sucker for that so please bear with me m'kay
