I had been keeping my distance from Miss Birmingham, even though i wasnt liking it but i needed to, right? After that 'incident' in her class i was keeping my guard up around her and everyone else and people were noticing but not mentioning.
The bell went for English Lit. and i grabbed my big red duffel bag, half way through i had to leave for a soccer game, im captain and i love the sport to death its how i vent my anger and its just something i love doing.
I got to class and took my seat beside Ross "hey footy-player!" he said as i took my seat and i nodded "hey guy who could pass as being gay but isnt and isnt admitting it!" i said and he smiled "hey im gay and proud!" he said and i snapped my head round at him,
"wht?" i asked and he smiled "im gay!" he said and i faked cried "aww, i love you man!" i said and he faked cried "i love you to man!" he said and we hugged and pretended to cry. "so my best friends gay, now i know how it feels!" i said and he laughed lightly,
I felt Miss birmingham glance at us afew times like she usually does and i usually do, i shrugged them off "so you dont care?" he asked and i looked at him "okay i am insulted, right you knwo what fuck right off you can just go fuck off now!" i said and he started laughing,
"im sorry!" he said "and so you should be, you asked a gay person, i mena someone who is gay if they were okay with another person ebing gay!" i said and hit his arm "bad gay person!" i said and he was bursting out with laughter,
"alright class i have lovely textbook work for you all so if you would like to turn to page 693 you can start, its questions two to fifteen!" Miss Birmingham said from her desk while twiling with her pen and i took the chance to look her over
My conclusion: man she's hot today! She was looking rather dashing in her black pencil skirt that came professionally down to her knee, she had a black long lseeve shirt on reveling the top of her clevage, i noticed when i came in she had black heels on and the messy bun her dirty blonde hair was in was making me go wild.
I wasnt intrested in the work and Miss Birmingham was working on papers, while she wasnt glancing at me. I put my earphones in and 'Nothern Lights' came on and i got so lost in the music i hadnt realised i had been sing-mumbeling along to the words loud enough for the class to hear until my earphones were pulled out of my ears,
I looked to see Miss Birmingham smiling at me "i love your singing but do shut up!" she said and i glanced at the clock behind her shoulder and i was late "aww crap i need to go!" i said quickly standing up and grabbing my bag,
"excuse me?" she asked and i smiled "soccer game, bye!" i said and dashed out of the class, running down the ahll i went to the PE department and the girls locker rooms where my team was. They cheered when they saw me and i laughed lightly,
I got into the teams strip which was burgandy shorts, a white soccer shirt with the burgandy on it, white socks with a burgandy stripe and i had my ahir up and black soccer boots, a bit masculine but its soccer.
I ran out to the field with the girls and the toher team were warming up. Our coach greeted us with a smile which soon faded itno 'couch mode' as we called it. We warmed up as the final bell went and as always with our games the shcool came out to watch.
They went in there groups. First in grades, then into ones who were here for the game, the ones who were here to just be here, the ones who were here to watch fit girls and then the teachers. Not everyone watched but the majority did.
The whistle went and the two captins went in the middle. I looked at the very buch girl and smirked "alright girls i want a clean game here alright, just a clean game no hurt!" he said and i saw it was aimed at the buch girl who grunted like a dog,
I shook her clammy hand and went back to my team. The ball was klicked over to her team as she won the coin toss, to be honest it was better for us we had been working on this happening. The dribbled the ball up and it wa sin our pocession withing minutes and they were shocked,
See we were a crap team all last season so we worked all the way through the summer for the first time as we got a new coach and we have improved a hell of alot. The ball was passed to me and it ook my coaches word and dribbled it for as far as i could until i passed the ball to my team mate who scored the first goal.
We chose not to celebrate to quickly and we got back into positions ready for the game to continue. I saw when the game started Miss Birmingham was there but half way through, well 3/4's of the way through i saw she wasnt there anymore it was just Mrs Colins on her own with other teachers and it did leave me asking why she wasnt there and why i was dissappointed she wasnt?
Sure i was pissed of with her at the moment, although im nbot sure why she did nothing wrong. Although she did suddenly make me divulge my life story and im pretty mad about that, lets go with that for now.
OKay back to my story, i mena i am pissed of with her but thats just made me feel attentitive i guess to her more. Ive wanted her to notice me and she's always on my mind i mean seriously last night i couldnt sleep because i thought of her and those legs of hers in the tight jeans she wore yesterday!
I managed to concentrate throughout the game but i just managed to cope, the minute it was over i was daydreaming about the woman. I would like to say we won the game but meh is all i can say im feeling Miss Birminghma i more important and she really shouldnt be in my case!
I didnt bother getting changed, i didnt even take my boots of i just got my bag and went home. I walked home listening to my music and i remembered the care system was up again tonight which made me groan.
Let me explain the care system to you... The care system is when a bunch of kids with loving families from school come to a care home and interact with the kids. They make friends and do shit etc, ect.
They come with a two teachers who have happily volunteered to help for the year aswell. Would you like to hear the best part, they all come from my school! I dont even know why it is my school as im the only one there, i guess thinking about it now its to make a wide range of friends btu it its questionable.
I got in and slammed the door "watch that door!" Gina shouted from the office which wa son the ground floor to the left opposite my room. I dumped my bag at the door to las to carry it the short distance to my room.
With all the jackets on the coat peg i knew they were here all ready. I felt Gina and a woman following me into the living room where i fell face first onto the couch with a groan "how was the game?" Lisa asked,
She was fourteen and the closets thing to a friend in this place, along with Mac who was her age and they were buddies "we won!" i mumbled with my face on the couch. I sat up and Gina was down at the pool table with the teacher talking,
"im of to go get changed!" i said and Mac and Lisa nodded. I went into my room that had my name on it and i shut the door behind me. My room was decorated around me. The walls were black and covered celling to floor in band posters,
My bed was made but if it wa sup to me it wouldnt. I had a wardrobe and desk and the wardrobe had no clothes in it, they were lying all over the floor and my desk was pilled with books ive read over and over again.
I tidied up some of the clothes but got bored so i got changed itno some black joggers and an oversized grey t shirt. I put my glasses on and kept my hair tied back. I sauntered on back to the living room and slumped on the couch,
I lay my head back and thats when i saw Miss bIrmingham and she just smiled at me. Gina walked past and out of the livingroom and Miss Birmingham sat on the arm of the couch "shouldnt you be talking with others than sitting on the couch!" she said and i looked at her,
"im comfy here!" i said and she smiled "why not talk to the car kids!" she siad and it was then i realised A- it hadnt clicked to her that i lived her or B- she had forgot. I smirked at her and she raised an eyebrow,
"i loive her!" i said and she looked guilty and shocked "crap, im sorry i didnt mean anything i totally forgot, crap i didnt mean to say that either jesus im sorry!" she said and i couldnt help but laugh lightly,
"its fine, dont sweat it!" i siad and she smiled."JO!" Harry screamed and came running up to me and sat on my knee "who said you could sit there!" i said and he laughe dholding onto Jeff his toy giraffe as Miss Birmingham moved into the seat next to me.
"how was soccer?" he asked in his Jeff voice "we won the game, how was school Jeff?" i asked looking at the giraffe whih nodded "good we got homework!" he said and shook his head and i frowned "i got homework to!" i said and he nodded,
Harry yawned and i smiled "you should go to bed buddy!" i said and he shook his head and lay his head on my chest and wrapped his arms around me facing Miss Birmingham "no im fine!" he said and nestled his head.
Within seconds he was sleeping "he seems comfy!" Miss Birmingham said and i nodded "she's his cuddle person!" Lisa said and i kicked her leg "shut up!" i groaned and she stuck her tongue out at me,
"JO!" Gina bellowed and i smirked "what did you do?" Lisa, Mac and Harry all asked at the same time causing my smirk to grow wider. Gina came in the living room very angry and glaring at me,
"my god Gina are you okay you look very pale?" i said as she was covered in flour "get in my office now!" she said thorugh gritted teeth "if you think it will help, maybe you should take a lie down!" i said standing up,
"MY OFFICE NOW!" she bellowed and everyone looked and tried to contain there laughter "nhow Gina anger doesnt solve anything!" i said and she glared at me "im covered in flour dont talk to me about anger!" she said angry and i srhugged,
"you talk about it when were angry i just thought i'd do the same!" i said and Tommy came from the kitchen and the minute he saw Gina he covered his mouth with his hand "Gina why dont you get cleared up and i'll deal with Jo!" he said with a big grin on hsi face,
Gina took a deap breath and left and we both burst into laughter while everyone still looked at us "alright your doing dishes tonight!" he said and i looked at him "aww what?" i asked and he nodded ?"yeah!" he said and i sighed,
"Fine but i want paid!" i said and he looked at me "this is a punishment not a job!" he said and i shrugged "you want ti done or not?" i asked and he groaned "fine how much?" he asked and i thought about it,
"twenty!" i said and he groaned "fine!" he said and wlaked away. I sat back on the couch and Lisa shook her head as Harry sat back on my knee "how did you prank Gina and get twenty quid?" she asked and i srhugged "ahh but she has to do the dishes!" Mac said pointing his pen and i smirked,
"who said i was doing them?" i asked and i smirked at him "no, no its your punishment!" he said knowing what i was about to ask him "aww come on Macy i'll giove you all my gold stars for a month!" i said as a reasoning,
He thought abotu ti before mumbeling fine, HA jokes on him i never get gold stars. Harry curled up to me again and nestled his head "you'd make a good mum!" Lisa said and i looked at her "thanks i think.." i said mIss Birmingham laughed lightly,
"no im serious its like you have this bad side but your like a big cuddly bear underneath!" she said wavign her hands about and i raised an eyebrow "she's crazy!" i whispered to Miss Birmingham who laughed slightly,
"she has a point you do have two sides!" she said and i raised an eyebrow then i remembered the day in her class and i looked down at a sleeping Harry and i couldnt help but smile. I shrugged as a response "never thought about it!" i said and they both nodded,
"what is it you want to do when you leave school?" Miss Birmingham asked and i thought about it "well im good at cooking i could do that i guess!" i said and she nodded "not bad!" she said and i nodded,
At that point Tommy came back in and popped his head in the door "Jo keep tomorrow after school free and rush home will you!" he said and i raised an eyebrow "what? why?" i asked and he gulped "no reason just do it!" he siad and ran away,
"Tommy! dah Tommy you arse get in here!" i said but i couldnt run after him as Harry was sleeping ontop of me. "he could have a family for you!" Mac said and i shook my head,
"doubt it im eighteen!" i said and he shrugged "you never know!" he said in response and i layed my head back on the couch trying to think what it could be then a thought came ot mind "aww crap!" i said lifting my head up,
"what?" Miss Birmingham asked "i could be moving out, like living on my own i mena im eighteen!" i said and she raised an eyebrow "see i was suppose to move to a different house when i was sixteen and it was a bit more independant then when im eighteen i move out,
But there was no spaces so i stayed here and got the things i would get there but here. So now im eighteen i could be moving out of this place!" i said and she nodded "wait your eighteen?" she asked and i nodded "last week!" i said and she smiled "happy late birthday!" she said and i smiled "tah!" i said and Gina bellowed 'dinner'.
The care system helpers have dinner with us then go home so we were all sat round a really large table and Miss Birmingham was beside me and Harry and lisa were fighting over the other seat next to me,
"she's my friend to!" Lisa said in response to Harry "but she's my mummy" he said taking me and Lisa a-back and sitting on the seat. I gulped as i looked at Gina and Tommy who were smiling at me ant ate there dinner.
I ruffled Harry's hair as i ate the curry infront of me. I couldnt help but sneak glances at Miss Birmingham and everytime i did she was sneaking glances at each toehr and we'd catch each other whcih ended up in us btoh blushing and looking away.
Once i was doen i went straight ot my room and i studpidly left my room door open cos' when Miss Birmingham got her coat from the office she looked in on me as i was laying on my bed, my legs to my chest, blasting music and drawing,
"hey!" she said leaning on the door frame and i smiled at her "hey, whats up?" i asked and she shrugged "checking your okay and listening to the song cos i like ti!" she said refering to 'NA NA NA' by MCR playing on my Ipod.
"im not so much a fan of the band just a couple fo the songs!" i said and she nodded "same!" she said and i nodded "Can i ask something?" i asked and she smirked "dont you dare say it!" i said pointing my pencil at her,
"say what besides the fact you did just ask a question?" she asked and i groaned, she laughed and came in and sat on my desk chair at the foot of my bed. She brought one leg up and rested it on the seat and leant her chin on herknee and i couldnt help but think she looked adorable,
"your still Miss Birmingham, why?" i asked and she raised an eyebrow "i mean you left to get married didnt you?" i asked and she realised what i meant "oh that, i got divorced after five years, marriage to him wasnt what we wanted!" she said and i nodded,
"im sorry to hear!" i said and she smiled "its okay, i have my daughter Raven so im happy!" she said and i smiled as her face lit up at her name "thats good!" i said and she nodded "im sorry if i kinda hurt you earlier when it didnt click you lived here, it really didnt click with me!" she said with a nervous laugh,
"its cool i thought it didnt but its fine, i guess i'll be seeing more of you although who's the other teahcer?" i asked and she smield "Mrs Colins!" she siad nad i looked at her horrified causing her to laugh,
"i pray to god that i dont end up ebing a rat in my next life caused by my actions in this one!" i said and she laughed more "you'll be fine!" she said and i nodded "i hope so!" i said and her phone went of.She looked at the text amused,
"gotta go my sisters getting bored with Raven and i need to rescue her!" she said putting the phone back in her jacket pocket "okay, see you tomorrow Miss Birmingham!" i said as she got up "please its Tina, Miss Birmingham doesnt sound right!" she said wiht a light laugha dn i nodde,d
"okay then, see you tomorrow!" i said and she waved by before leaving. I continued my drawing of a sitting pup. Once i was done with it i put it in my safe with all the others. I contemplated playing the Xbox but i coudlnt be bothered so i crawled into bed and the minute my head hit the pillow i was out.
