He slid into my DMs and asked me about my day
We spoke for hours about religion, sometimes forgetting to pray
He was always on my mind, speaking late into the night
We ended up sleeping through Fajr most of the time
We cuddled at the movies or went out to eat
We lied to our parents about who we were going to meet
He stared into my eyes and set my heart ablaze
We ignored our Lord telling us to lower our gaze
It was just me and the man I preferred
We ignored our Prophet when he said satan's the third
We never did anything wrong except hold hands and kiss
So I don't know why God took him away
And hurt me like this
It was halal love
