This has got to be THE best and my most favorite evidence to use. In the Wii U version of Smash Bros, here is the Easter Egg to trigger a conversation from the Kid Icarus: Uprising characters. (Of course it only works if you play as Pit). Palutena discusses information about each character in the game that Pit fights against. When you activate the conversation while fighting against Dark Pit, Palutena begins to question what happen to him after the battle with Hades. Viridi then says that Dark Pit works for The Forces of Nature...with out a real or clear explanation as to why Dark Pit suddenly wants to work for her. In Uprising, do you recall the battle cry him and Pit said together? he says:
And now he's saying...
...What does he mean by overlapping interests? Again, no explanation.
On top of that Viridi adds that Dark Pit, Phosphera, and The Lighting Chariot are all under her command, and ends her quote with "The battle isn't over yet!". Ok first off..WHAT BATTLE IS SHE TALKING ABOUT!? second, WHY THE (BEEP) WAS THIS INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS CONVO!? Why did Sakurai just randomly put this whole thing out there knowing we STILL have 20 years left for the next sequel!? I feel like if he was truly done with Kid Icarus, he would NOT have added this. If this is actually cannon to Uprising (which i'm sure it is. I mean I can't see why not.) then I say this convo confirms his next project. And if it isn't a Kid Icarus sequel, this will all be a dick move on Sakurai for just dangling this info over our heads. Literally he's putting all this potential for a sequel that can come out very soon in this conversation. And for him to just add all that is just way too suspicious. Yes, he's a troll, but he's not THAT harsh. Something is definitely up with this storyline here. Since Viridi still has hatred towards humans, This could indicate that she may become the enemy to Palutena and Pit. Given Palutena's obsession with the natural order, what happens now since the ruler of the Underworld is defeated? there leaves a gaping power vacuum, and there doesn't seem to be much balance there. Hades jokes in the very last portion of the game, that he can bring himself to life but it would take some time...like twenty five years. Chances are that there will be no more attacks on the humans unless Viridi continues to attack them, leaving a peaceful era...but the problem is that dead souls won't be guided with no one in charge of the underworld at the moment...meaning that Palutena might have made things worse until Hades comes back...
So yes, here ends my theory. And of course I could most definitely be wrong about this whole thing. Hell maybe this all ties into a Smash Bros 5, or maybe even a completely different game for that matter. But whatever it is, I guess I could be ok with it, as long as if it's from the great Masahiro Sakurai, we're all good. (But I will lose control of my life if he announces a Kid Icarus sequel xD).
