Silence.
Absolute silence.
Normally this would drive a person insane but,
We already are.
Sitting in each other's embrace.
No words are shared.
No sympathy is felt.
We understand how the other person is feeling in perfect detail.
He knows how depressed and fragile I am.
I know how broken and scared he is.
The way he clings tightly onto my shirt as if I might disappear.
His head lying in the crook of my neck.
Small sobs exit his body as he holds onto the broken pieces of himself.
Tears stream down my face as my hand grips his arm,wanting to get as close to him as possible.
It's the time of the month,where depression gets worse,and the sky becomes permanently gloomy.
Winter.
Seasonal depression is what they call it.
We both suffer from it,but also we've both dealt with friends leaving us recently.
Absolute silence,except for the sound of two broken people trying not to loose themselves.
He raises his head,
And his murky blue eyes stained with tears peer up at me.
I can see his soul through his eyes. He's so vulnerable right now.
His eyes are blood shot and his face is red.
I'm sure I look the same.
"I love you.." he whispers so quietly,I could barely hear him.
"We'll be okay,Jonny." I whisper back.
We will be okay.
