Nash’s POV
“Geesh what’s up with you today grumpy gills?” I ask her and she just looks back at Twitter it looks like. “Wanna go out today?” she instantly turns around and smiles I sit down on her bed and look up at the ceiling “Hey babe? What’s that?” I ask pointing to a door in the ceiling. “Um not sure can you go to the garage and get me a ladder? Please?” she asks and I tell her of course. On my way to the garage I see Matt I wave to him and he does the same. In the garage I see the ladder, I grab it and head back upstairs I see Matt and Julia again, sucking face like always. “Get a room you guys” they laugh and I go back up to Cassidy’s room. “Took you long enough” she smirks I smile back “Well I said hi to Matt then I got the ladder and came back and they were sucking face.” “Like usual” she laughs.
We set up the ladder and she opens the door, she crawls in to the room and turns the light on. “Well?” I yell up to her, “It’s furnished and has furniture in it. Oh and a T.V., a fridge and a bed.” I climb up the ladder and she wasn’t lying. It’s awesome up here. “Cassidy instead of going out tonight wanna make something?” I ask looking around the room, “like what?” “stairs.” I say and her eyes light up. “Yes! Let’s do it!!”
After a long drive to a lumber yard and like 200 bucks spent on wood and a couple hours of building we are finished with the stairs. I test them out and they work perfectly. “Cass?” I hear Julia yell so we run up the stairs and into the loft. “guys where’d you- what the?” we hear her run up the steps. “CASS? NASH?” she yells and we jump out and she screams. “THIS IS AWESOME want to switch rooms?” she smiles at Cassidy. “Nah, I like this room even more now” she smiles at her. “Whatever guys Matt and I are going out and I don’t know when we’ll be back so bye!” she goes down the stairs and that’s the last we see of them till morning.
Cassidy’s POV
So Jules went out with Matt I don’t think she’s coming home so Nash can stay again I guess. I have a loft in my room. How awesome is that? Pretty awesome! “Babe? You hungry?” I yell up to Nash and he sticks his head out into the door way “Yes oh my gosh I’m starving!” I laugh “well what do you want?” “I don’t care how bout- OH MY GOSH CASS!” “WHAT?” I yell back “THERES AN XBOX!” no way. An Xbox thank you so much Gram I say to myself. I walk downstairs and ask Mitchy to make some spaghetti and to call me when it’s ready. Upstairs I go into my closet and pull out my neon pink bikini and a towel that is a batman towel. I put on my sunglasses and sunscreen. Once on the beach I lay down and put on my music. I am laying down when someone stands over me. “Excuse me I’m laying here!” I say to the person and I look up and it’s someone whom I’ve never seen or met before, at least I don’t think. “Cassidy? Cassidy Willis?” they say which kind of freaks me out. “Um yeah do I know you?” I say and they just laugh, “Yeah I’m Cameron, Cameron Dallas, Nash’s friend” oh well alright then. “OH hi Cam what’s up sorry didn’t recognize you” I laugh “My bad” he says while sitting down by me. “So what are you doing down here?” he asks looking at the water, “I was laying out waiting for my spaghetti, Nash is inside playing Xbox in the loft” I say and lay back down. “Loft? Didn’t know you had one?” he laughed and laid down next to me. “There are a lot of things I didn’t know about this house and there’s probably more” he just laughs and gets up holding his hand out to me “come inside I think your food is ready” he says and helps me up and we walk inside to see sure enough spaghetti and garlic bread on 3 plates I’m guessing Cam is eating with us too.
I text Nash because I’m too lazy to go up and get him, next thing I hear is a thud an “IM OKAY” and footsteps running down the stairs I look at Cam and we burst out laughing. “Hey Cass, Cam when did you get here?” he asks sitting down next to me. “Oh I ran into Cassidy on the beach so we talked a bit then food was ready so we came inside and we are here now.” He says stuffing his face with spaghetti. I look over at Nash and he is also stuffing his face so I join in. I’m enjoying my spaghetti when I look up and they are both staring at me wide eyed. “What?” I say with my mouth full of food, “Um Cass didn’t know you could eat like that!” Cam yelled scaring me, “What just cause I’m a girl doesn’t mean I can’t eat like a man” I smirk “Is that a challenge?” Nash asks me. “Yeah it is babe. First person to eat a whole plate of spaghetti and two bread sticks wins at life.” I giggle “Count us in” they both say. I call in Mitchy and ask her to bring in three plates of spaghetti 6 breadsticks. She brings in the food “Okay ready, 1,2, 3! GO!” we all shovel the spaghetti and Nash spits some on the floor. I don’t care I’ll clean it up later and I’m almost half way done and Cam is right behind me. I finish my spaghetti and start on the two bread sticks. I see Cam jug down a cup of water but I go dry and officially win. “I WIN YOU LOSE!” I yell and do a little happy dance in front of them.
We all laugh and help clean up the mess. I make Nash clean up the floor because he’s the one who spit it out on the floor. I run upstairs and clean off my face and put my hair in a ponytail. I grab my tie-dye bikini and my sunglasses and head out the door. “BOYS!” I yell and they both come into the living room, “Yeah babe?” Nash asks , “I’m going to swim if you need me feel free to come and join me!” I smile and walk out to the patio and onto the warm sand. I run into the clear water and dive in. Did I mention I had snorkeling gear with me? I put on the gear and swim around the cove, I see tons of cool fish, and coral. Then I see it. A shark. I figured it was a nurse shark so I came up and realized how far I was from the shore. I went back under to see how close the animal was and it was coming pretty fast and In my direction. I swam as fast as I could and I was almost to the sand bar when I felt a tug and extreme pain. “NASH CAMERON HELP ME PLEASE HELP ME!!” I kick and scream and finally the shark lets go and I see the guys standing on the beach running towards me. I tried to swim but I couldn’t move my leg. “Cam call an ambulance!” Nash yelled to him running toward me. He picked me up and carried me inside. I lay on the floor with a towel around my calf I don’t feel much pain so I try and stand up but Nash pushes me back down. I don’t fight him because who knows what could happen.
The paramedics show up after what feels like an hour and I’m rushed in an ambulance to the E.R. Inside the hospital I hear so many noises and the doctor but I can’t make out what he’s saying darkness engulfs me and before I know it I’m waking up in a room. “AH!” I feel an extreme pain in my left leg and I look down at my bloody bandage. “NASH OH MY GOSH NASH”I yell and he comes running in and so do about 5 nurses. “Babe, babe it’s alright, hey it’s okay don’t worry, I’m right here you’ll be alright, we’re together I called your Gram, Julia, and the guys, they all know what happened and they will be at home when we get there.” He smiles and kisses my nose. “Thanks babe, I um when can I go home?” the nurse buds in and tells me that I can go home in a few days, that means I’ll miss work, Steve will be mad. Steve oh my gosh “Nash! Hand me my phone! Please I need to call Steve.” He hands me my phone and I dial his number. “Steve? Hi yes It’s Cassidy I’m afraid I won’t be coming into work this week.” I say “Well why not!” he says into the phone. “Well I-I got bitten by a shark in my left calf and the doctor said I should be released on Thursday so I’ll be in on Friday” I tell him, he apologizes for yelling and gives Julia four days off like I do. I make sure and tell him we found the venue for the next meet and greet. He thanks me and hangs up. I do a sigh of relief and fall asleep.
The days past really fast I got a cast on my leg and some crutches. Nash picks me up in my truck and we go home. Its dark and I’m really tired so I go inside and unlock the front door, “SURPRISE!!’ I look up and see all the boys and Mahogany, Gram and Julia!! “Guys! You shouldn’t have oh my gosh!” I hug them all and then I notice Gram. I run up and hug her so hard and thank her for everything starting from the house to the car to the helpers if that’s what you call them, and just all her support throughout my life and Julia’s. I end up crying by the end and so is Gram. Mitchy, and Mary bring in a cake and some French fries and ice cream. They know me so well. I look around at all the friends we as in Jules and I have gained while here then I remember. I go grab Nash and he sits by me on the couch. “Gram this is Nash, and we have been dating for what? A month today actually!” she miles and hugs Nash, “Welcome to the family Nash” we winks then Julia speaks up, ‘Gram this is Matt and we are also dating it’s been 2 months since yesterday!” Gram smiles and says the same to Matt. We ask Mitchy to take a picture but set it for timer and all the staff and my family and friends gather around and we all smile. This is a night to remember.
The night ends and we all say goodbye Gram has to leave because she has to work in the morning so I told her to call me when she lands. She agreed and everyone left except for Cam, Matt, and Nash. Cam sleeps in the spare room, Julia and Matt in Julia’s room and Nash and I in my room. I wash my face and brush through my hair, I put on a tank top and shorts and snuggle into Nash and my bed. “Night babe, tonight was fun!” he says into my hair, “I’m happy to be home but I really should shower tomorrow do we have trash bags?” he laughs “yeah I think so” I was thinking for a bit and I started to speak “Nash when are you going to go home? Like to your house here in Cali? Not being rude but I think you need a guys day and a good night’s sleep in your own bed” I smile “I was thinking tomorrow if that’s alright?” he asks I say it’s fine and we fall asleep.
I woke up to the radio playing and Nash’s side of the bed empty. The song was ‘Play It Again By Luke Bryan’ my favorite song. I ran into my closet and shut the door humming along with the song. I slipped on some Nike spandex shorts, a tank top and my Nike Shocks. I grab my headphones and run out to the beach. My music plays in shuffle mode while I run along the beach. I never looked at the time, so I look down at my watch and it’s 6:30 a.m. why am I up so early? Oh well I’m running and I am just in time for the sunrise which is beautiful I think to myself as I look over my shoulder to the right. The sky was all sorts of yellows, reds, and oranges. The water was clear blue and I saw dolphins! I stopped and took a picture or two and posted them to Instagram. I decided to head back to the house. Inside I walked into the kitchen and smelled waffles and smoothies my favorite. I sat down at the island greeted by Mitchy. “Waffles and a strawberry banana smoothie Cassidy?” she smiled and slid them toward me I thank her. “So how was your run this morning?” she asks me “It was pretty fun actually, I saw the sunrise and dolphins see!” I showed her the pictures and I looked back up at her she had dark circles under her eyes and she looked very tired. “Hey Mitchy, heres 100 bucks go take the day off and go to the spa and sleep or relax you look beat don’t worry I can cook” I said before she could decline she thanked me and left. I picked up the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. I smelled terrible so I went upstairs to shower and there was a note on the door. ‘babe I went on a run on the beach be back in 60-Nash’ I smiled and put the note on my desk and hopped in the shower. I turned on the radio and sang along to the music. I scrubbed my head with Mango Suave shampoo and conditioner, and Mango body wash. I love mangos.
I wrapped my robe around me and blow dried my hair. I walked into my closet and tapped my chin then ran back out. I grabbed my iPhone and check the temperature. 85 and sunny, perfect. I put it back down and ran back into my closet I locked the door so no one could come in. I slid on my Aztec print shorts, with a Nike tank top that was pastel purple. I put on my berks and realized I haven’t painted my nails in a while. I look at the mirror and fishtail my hair and but on my shades. I grabbed my purse, phone, and my keys. I jumped into my truck and drove to the nearest salon in town. I pull up to Rodneys Nails I pulled up and parked my baby and locked it. Inside I saw all these women and this guy who I’m guessing is Rodney. “Hello Miss, how may I help you today?” he asks me, I smile and think a bit. “Um a Mani-Pedi please” I smile and he smiles back.
“Rohnda! Mani-Pedi please!” he yells through the salon. A middle-aged woman with blue eyes and dyed brown hair (to keep the grays away I’m guessing) takes me to a chair and asks to put my feet in the water I do as I’m told. An hour or so later she’s finished and I’m in love. “Thank you so much Rohnda!” I gave her a 20 dollar tip, “Oh dear I cannot accept this! Please keep it!” she pleads, “Oh no hon you deserve it you did such a wonderful job I love them!’’ I smile and hug her and she hugs back. “Rodney your service was amazing I’m pretty sure my best friend and I will become regulars!” I say as I pay but he stops me, “On the house Cassidy, please I insist!” he says and pushes the money away. I look at him like I’ve just been handed a million dollars and told to run. “Um alright Rodney I’ll see you gals and guy later!” I smile and head out to my baby. Once inside I admire my new nails. They’re teal with a feather on each pointer finger and on my toes it’s the exact same except the feather is on my big toes. I turn on the truck and head home. I don’t see Nash’s car so I guess he went home. That’s fine I need to take Julia to Rodney’s like ASAP. “JULIA!’ I scream and a few minutes later she comes down stairs. “What’s up?” Come on I’m taking you to Rodney’s” I smile and she just stops. “B-But I have a boyfriend you know that!” she’s on the verge of tears. “Julia. C’mon it’s nail salon. C’mon Jules I wouldn’t do that to you and Matt. “ she smiles and I show her my nails and she runs to her car. I guess we are taking her car.
“So how much did that cost because I only have 30 bucks on me” she looks at her wallet holding the money. “He gave it to me on the house so it may be the same for you. We pull up and jump out. I was here 15 minutes ago so I’m a fresh face. “Rodney! I’m here!” I say and pull him in for a hug and he does the same! “Cassidy is this Julia you were talking about?” he smiles at her and hugs her too. “Yeah it is can she have Rhonda today too?” I ask and he calls her over. They sit and do her nails just like mine. Except hers are neon green and Pink with Zebra stripes on her pointer fingers and her toes are Neon Green with zebra stripes as well. She thanks her and it’s on the house again. I thank Rodney a bunch of times and then we leave. She’s so happy with her nails then I suggest we go for a swim. She looks at me like I’ve got someone behind me about to kill me. “What? Doctor said I could my stiches are healed” she laughs and agrees. Inside I run upstairs and put on my black strapless bikini with neon bottoms. Julia puts on her neon green top with black bottoms an she has her diamond in her belly button. Gram let her get one not me. I didn’t want one.
In the ocean my leg stings a bit but I get used to it and dive under. I come back up and stand up. See a starfish and show Julia. I yell for Maurice ( another cleaning person yes I know they all start with M’s) “Yes Cassidy?” he asks so politely. “Can you get me an aquarium just a little one. And put it on my desk by my computer? Oh and make sure it’s filled with sea water like from here I point down and some sand too thank you so so much!” I hug him and he laughs and gets a bucket of water and sand. I see him grab an aquarium from the shed and he washes it. I grab the starfish and carry it inside. I put it in the fish tank and I go on the balcony. “Julia! Hey I’m going to shower and look up how to feed a starfish!” I yell down to her tanning. “Alright have fun!” she laughs and lays back down.
I figure out what it eats and how much. I go buy it some and sit on my bed. I put in all the filter and then I stare at it. It needs a name. Speckles, no not me. Squishy. “THAT’S IT!” I yell and I hear Julia laugh did I say that out loud? My phone buzzes and it’s from Nash.
N:Hey babe what’s up?
C: nothing special just hanging with Squishy J
N: What’s a squishy?
C: I GOT A STAR FISH!
N: on my way babe :*
So he’s coming over alright. I jump in the shower, shave and wash my hair, face and body. I put on some Nike shorts and one of his hoodies. I blow dry my hair and pull it up into a messy bun. Then I put on some Nike elites and sit on my bed . I look over to my wall and notice they are pretty bare. Then I look at my camera. I get up and take some shots of my oceanic view, I go down to see Julia and we take some then I realize I haven’t done a video since I’ve moved here! I get out my tri-pod and set it up in front of my bed and turn it on.
