A/N: Written 9/25/17. Follows the general theme of Hope in the Darkness. Not sure about the title. Sorry been MIA, hit a writer's block, and didn't think the ones I had written, weren't good.

Its been years since the first battle was waged
and longer still since this war began. As the fight
for my soul continues, so does this seemingly never
ending war between light and dark.
Still I am stuck inside this room, this hell,
although I am no longer strapped to that
table like an experiment. The wisp...
he never comes around, at least not anymore...I can only hope
it was able to escape back into the light, where he is safe.
Its sibling, the silent one...I see him, every now and then...
but just a glimpse, like a tiny shadow shrouded by dark evil...
always moving very quickly like a hummingbird,
trying to stay hidden, out of sight from those that will hurt it.
As I continue to try every second of every minute to escape
this tiny hell, I can feel despair and hopelessness grow inside me.
The voice that keeps gong on and on about how the
darkness is where I belong, starts to get louder and louder...
nothing drowns out the voice...not anymore...
I am tired of fighting, maybe I am meant to forever stay in darkness,
unable to taint the beauty and purity that is the light...the silent one
came by today with a message from the wisp...
Never give up hope, light will ALWAYS prevail.
